1989 Mercedes Benz 560 SL This a beautiful example of the last if 107 Marque Model and the most highly refined.This 560 SL is the most collectible of the 107 models, and the wisest investment in terms of value appreciation. This is a 2 owner car since new, with only 105,000 original miles on the odometer The exterior color is called Smoke Silver and has a beautiful Burgundy Leather interior. The contrasting carpets and mats as well as carpeted trunk area are in excellent condition. The Mercedes has its Original Hard Top with a beautiful Headliner in excellent condition. There is a brand new Black German Canvas Convertible Top with a tan cross arrow headliner. The body is rust free, razor straight, and was completely disassembled if all trim, and refinished with a Barrett Jackson quality show car finish. No money was spared on this professional paint job. The engine compartment is highly detailed, all gauges are in working order, and has had recent exhaust system work done. The car runs well, and the engine is quiet, with the transmission shifting as it should The original Becker Grand Prix AM-FM stereo cassette is in working order as well. 1980 Mercedes Benz 450SL Roadster V8 Hardtop/Convertible 99K NICE!! 2nd owner car- purchased in ALASKA but spent most of it's life in Tennessee. Here in SYRACUSE, NY for 2 years in a heated garage where it NEVER saw rain, much less snow :) If you are looking to do holeshots and burnouts this IS NOT the car for you! When I bought it a couple years ago, the wife hated it- THEN SHE DROVE IT... THEN SHE DROVE IT WITH THE TOP DOWN! Guess who doesn't get to drive their own car very much anymore... that's right, ME! Her opinion changed real quick. THIS CAR IS SO MUCH FUN TO DRIVE! Smooth hearty acceleration on the highway... Bought it right and made some repairs and upgrades like new window switches, hazard button, fixed the factory fogs, replace a couple of burned out headlights, repainted the lower front valance- it was chipped up pretty good- you can see what it looked like in the sunset pic, I had the rims coated, replaced some steering parts, added the radio and sub box- not a lot of boom, but you can hear it when the top is off :) OVERALL CONDITION- The car is ROCK SOLID! A few minor dings in the paint smaller than a pea (they've been touched up by a body shop) 2 people have looked at this car locally and said it was definitely a 5 footer!! The interior is in great shape. Almost no wear in both seats. The carpet in the jump seat is a bit faded from having the top down. Dash has no cracks. Center console wood trim is OK, a couple cracks can be seen if you look close enough. The floor boards and trunk bottom looks as if was a 2015. It was undercoated a bunch of years ago. I knew the original owner and he took great care of this beauty! When he passed, I jumped at the opportunity to own it! ENGINE- Starts first time every time!! Oil is fresh and clean! (reminds me, I need to check the air filter) She only gets 91 octane or better non-ethanol fuel!! TRANSMISSION- Shifts as smooth as glass! Fluid is clean! STEERING/SUSPENSION- Just replaced inner/outer tire rods and sleeves, both sway bar links (had some play in the steering wheel) Steering is now tight. Shocks are doing their job!! RIMS/TIRES- Rims are original and have been bead blasted and Industrial Coated (NOT POWDER COATED) I have a friend that does this to bridge girders- it's awesome and looks sweet and lasts forever! Tires have lotsa tread left and have been rotated frequently. OK- NOW THE NOT SO GOOD- The radio has been disconnected as I was getting it ready to be stored for the winter. The A/C needs to be swapped over and charged. Being a technician I can tell you this swap is easy and inexpensive if you have the right mechanic. You need a new receiver/dryer ($100 on eBay) and a conversion kit ($35 on eBay) and a couple pounds of 134A... a couple hundred bucks at the most (if ya want a/c) Here in Syracuse, NY we don't have many HOT, sunny days- when we do we enjoy them :) Navy blue convertible has a couple of pen-tip-sized holes in it- when storing the top if you don't pay attention the fabric rubs up against a hinge and you get these very small holes. A top here on eBAY costs about $300 and it takes about an hour to install it- not a major deal but again with a garage I rarely put the top up. And lastly- the tachometer decided it was tired and quit working. A repair that's a little time consuming, but if you do your own work, a cheap fix!! LOW KBB BOOK ON THIS CAR IS $14,000- last year it was $11,400. I'm looking for $9500. I WILL ENTERTAIN TRADES- NO GARBAGE OR PROJECTS I WON'T RESPOND TO DUMBASS LOWBALLERS! Gorgeous Mercedes Benz 1987 260 SL Convertible, Premium Soft Top. Body color is a high polished light gray. Premium soft top is in prime condition, no holes or waffling in plastic. The dark chocolate brown canvas top is accented with a perfectly sewn buff threading pattern that has retained it's deep color along with no threading missing.Interior leather is in excellent condition in a deep buff. Burl wood dash is in perfect condition and has been well protected. Ultra clean carpets. Chrome on 260 SL is in spotless condition. Mercedes 450SL has a new canvas top along with a hard top. It has always been garaged and never driven in the winter while I have owned it. I purchased it 9 years ago from Texas and have maintained it in good shape. There is some paint bubbling on the trunk lid and minor rust on the passenger quarter panel. The drivers side seat has wear and I have new chrome for the seats that have not been put on because I intended to have the seats done and have not been able to.

Also has a clean title and an alarm system History of the 1980-1985 Mercedes-Benz 380SL In 1980, Mercedes-Benz revamped its SL lineup of sporting luxury convertibles with the introduction of the 380SL. The 380 was a further development of the R107 chassis, which was first used in 1972 by the 350SL, and then later by the 450SL. Like its forebears the 380SL was a heady mix of V-8 power, refined luxury, and sporty underpinnings, and it was as a very popular model during its run in the U.S. The 380SL, so-named for its 3.8-liter V-8, had a smaller engine than the 450SL and was consequently 120 pounds lighter. The new engine was designed with emissions controls in mind while the 450SL's mill was not, which meant that the two engines were relatively equal in terms of power (155 hp in the 380SL vs. 160 hp in the 450SL) despite the difference in their displacements. Performance was similar for the two cars, as was fuel economy. Outside of the engine, the 380SL also received a new four-speed automatic transmission, which further enhanced distance driving. Suspension, meanwhile, continued to be the same fully independent setup as in the earlier cars, and four-wheel disc braking remained standard. The 380SL ended production in 1985, at which point it was replaced by the 560SL. Today the car's values typically lag the earlier 450SL and the later 560SL, mainly because the 3.8-liter engine is slightly less powerful and had some early cam chain issues. The reality, however, is that most models have had their chain issues addressed, and the power difference between the 450SL and 380SL aren't as dramatic as the price discrepancy would suggest. Mercedes- Benz C107 (SLC series) are automobiles which were produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1971 throught 1980 being the second longest single series ever produced by the automaker after the G-Class. The SLC (C107) derivative was a 2 door hardtop coupe with normal rear seats. The SLC is commmonly referred to as an SL coupe and this was the first time that Mercedes-Benz had based a coupe on an SL roadster platform rather than on a saloon replacing the former saloon based 280/300 SE coupe in Mercedes lineup. The SLC was replaced earlier than the SL, with the model run ending in 1981 with a much larger model, the 380 SEC and 500SEC based on the new S class. The 350 SLC (C107) was first produced in October 1971. This is a 1978 Mercedes Benz 350 SLC grey market car imported from Germany. It has 94,322 original miles. Runs & Looks great. Just inspected, new battery, wipers & oil change. Garage kept. Sony AM/FM stereo, Air, Automatic, power brakes, steering windows, sunroof & antenna everything works. Quad headlights. This is a grey car, brought over from Germany. The 350 SLC was not offered for sale in the US it was changed to the 450 SLC. Car looks & runs great. White exterior with chrome trim, tan interior. This beautiful, athletic, powerful and elegant 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450sl was fabricated from the core of Mount Olympus, artfully designed by Zeus and skillfully handcrafted in the land of heroic barbarians. It only has 84000 miles on the clock and a copy of Carfax/AutoCheck will be served to the serious buyer together with a clean title. An aesthetic appeal, advanced technological features, rear unique interior materials and unprecedented power makes this 450sl better than a starship. It cost over $35000 back in 1980 which adjusted for inflation would be over $110.000 in todays money with only difference it doesn't depreciate at the rate of 15-20%/year. Instead this military grade machine appreciates in value (green) and makes its owner richer every year that passes by. If you thought muscle cars were a thing of the past, think again. This Mercedes is probably one of Germany's most formidable street machines. In fact, Ford were lucky that these German tanks were produced before the first Super Duty, because it gave Ford something to strive for. In fact, the engineers who designed it nicknamed it "der Panzerwagen" as one of their specifications was to meet or exceed stringent safety regulations that threatened to force the roadster body style into permanent extinction. Apparently, the Germans know about building tanks. On first glance you may think that this is just another European tiny two seater, aimed at practicality and economy. You're right. It just doesn't stop and gets up to 16MPG. But what Daimler put into these was a level of technology matched only by Sputnik satellite from the 1950s. Built in a time when Mercedes-Benz was truly and uniquely synonymous with "quality". . . as they remained alone at the top of the luxury automotive heap, these cars outlived any wreckage of Detroit's high end. This was when the Bavarians in Munich concentrated on craftsmanship and not profit. The elegant exterior has been repainted once and has plenty of gloss. If you look at the front, you won't be able to turn away from the majestic look of 4 beautifully round eyes. Long submarine-like hood will make you feel like a commander. This automobile spent most of its time between Texas and Arizona and doesn't know the word of rust.The hard top has a cracked glass in the back, but doesn't leak, doesn't penetrate air and never bothered me since I mostly drove with the top off. Integrated time machine takes you back to 70s when you step inside and feel the supple baby skin like leather. Interior is immaculate, no chips, cracks or tears. Close the doors and know what it feels like to seat inside the vault. Surrounded by rich colors and natural (real) wood, in-tone carpeting and magnificent dash this car offers everything royal people may demand. The original dash clock works better than my grand-dad's gold Rolex and has been keeping an exemplary time that makes Oyster Perpetual thing of the past. This road warrior still has a sticker on the windshield with Mr. Daimler signature on it, quality inspection sticker, current registration and stack of receipts for services for over $11K performed on this VIP-mobile. Here's the important part! You might get seduced by some other 107s available on the internet. Some might drive good and have a decent interior. Few might still have a shiny paint. But NONE will have such an extensive service/maintenance performed on them as this automobile has. Don't forget this is a Mercedes-Benz that requires premium parts and expensive service. If you haven't owned a Mercedes before, here's a rule #1: Spend money to maintain the car or it will make you pay 10 times more. Here's a list of repairs/services done in the year and a half. 1.Engine Valve Cover gaskets x2 (will leak oil of not replaced in the past 5 years) 2.Engine Valve plastic oilers and tubes (no 107 should be driven without these replaced, plastic disintegrates over time and will damage your valves) 3.Timing plastic chain guiders (same as oilers above) 4.Water pump cleaned and all gaskets replaced 5.Water pump hoses x2 6.Radiator upper, lower and bypass hoses replaced. 7.Power Steering pump rebuilt, filter replaced 8.Ignition coil replaced 9.Ignition spark plug wires replaced 10.Break master cylinder gaskets and grommets replaced 11.Fuel Vapor canister hose replaced 12.All Radiator hoses replaced x4 13.Air filter breather hoses 14.New thermostat 15.Front break calipers replaced 16.Front break pad sensor replaced 17.Steering coupling replaced (all 107 will have loose steering with more than ¼" play if not replaced) 18.Rear differential mount replaced (rubber wears out and it will sag and kick the car if not replaced) 19.
