Always garaged and covered as the condition of paint, chrome, glass and rubber all reflect this. *Please note the Autocheck on Ebay says 3 owners but this vehicle has documentation showing it's a (1) family owned vehicle. We have a clean Carfax available for review. Body panels are laser straight with even space between shut lines all factory specs. The vehicle is largely original paint with even depth and smoothness showing a hi-gloss finish. There are no signs or indications of accidents or body repair. Bolts are unturned and body panels still have the original vin tags affixed. There is no rust anywhere on the vehicle including the undercarriage. The interior is royal blue original leather. There are no rips or tears in the seats. All upholstery is in good shape without sagging or separations. The dashboard is original and has 2 very minor cracks. Carpet is also original in matching blue and shows very nice condition.Service records available. Original books, manuals, spare tool roll, spare tire/rim and 3 factory Huff keys. This is the 560SL you have been looking for! Ultra low 28,256 actual documented 2 owner miles. The first owner was a Microsoft executive who purchased the car for his wife on the West Coast. The second owner is a dear friend and fellow Mercedes collector who asked me to list the car for him insofar is he is not the most computer savvy guy and isn't much of a talker. The car is a impeccable example of a no paint work (Mils 3.5) no stories car. Signal red over black with perfect burlwood veneers, a crack free dash and basically a car that looks and drives like brand new, as it should with 28k miles on it. My friend bought the car years ago and stored it on stands and drove it about 100 miles a year. The original Pirelli tires are included but not safe to drive on anymore. All original glass, perfect original soft top and hard top. The car is leak free and goes to Mercedes for a check up every year. The car is leak free and tight! Most of the original stickers are on suspension components. The wheels have no curb rash and this is most likely the finest kept SL at any mileage. This car was bought as a perfect car, maintained to those standards throughout the years. Included is the window sticker, maintenance log, tool kit, hang tags, supporting maintenance records. The 560SL models only produced from 1986 through 1989 and were the most desirable ones of all the R107s in the US.Condition and HistoryThis 560SL is a pristine example of a 1st OWNER car! (Except one transfer recently within the same Family, same last name) This 1988 Mercedes Benz 560SL HARDTOP / SOFT TOP CONVERTIBLE with all matching #s was originally purchased new in GERMANY by the 1st owner where it was driven for the whole summer through Bavaria. After, it was shipped to Oregon where it lived his whole life until it was shipped to HAWAII in 2015 to his summer house. The car always kept covered in a fully enclosed garage and it has been meticulously cared for and fully maintained by its owner. The flawless original Mercedes color paint is finished in this gorgeous Signal Red that complements beautifully the attractive looking Tan Leather interior. The odometer reads 58,000 miles and is in great working condition as all the other cluster instruments and buttons in the dashboard. The tan leather interior is in great condition with no rips or tears and LOOKS & SMELLS like new! There are absolutely NO cracks or rips on the dashboard and the wood. The original BECKER GRAND PRIX CASSETTE radio with the power antenna is working perfectly. The Body is straight as an arrow. All doors, hood are all aligned like they should extremely well taken care off as you can see from the photo's. The doors and the trunk close nicely with no extra effort as they supposed to. The spare wheel, jack and all original tools are in the trunk. The A/C is working as all the buttons on the A/C control unit. The chrome all over the car is also in tip top shape. The dark brown soft top looks like BRAND NEW and has almost never been up. The hard top has all great seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. The engine runs smooth, strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no oil leaks. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool and it does not smoke. The engine compartment as well as all the carpets are also very clean and look re-presentable. This SL comes with 1 set of keys, 2 x top removal tools, all the original maintenance books and the owner’s manual.We recently have had a full maintenance job was done, re charged the Freon, added 4 new continental tires. The paint is original and is finished in the gorgeous Mercedes color of Signal Red and is in very good condition. The cars body shows very little wear with only a couple touch ups and light scratches! The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any California-Arizona car should be. The car has very cool looking solid glass Bosch Euro Spec 500SL headlamps installed, which give it a much cleaner look. The car is riding on upgraded Mercedes 15" chrome wheels and has deep tread Michelin tires! All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape with the exception of the wheel arch rubber trim (the rears are cracking) but the wheel arches can be easily removed oif not to your taste. The windshield is like new with no chips. The soft top is brand new and in excellent condition, and has almost never been up. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. Overall the exterior appearance of this car is a 9 out of 10. The interior is in great shape all around. The supple original Black leather seats are all in very good condition and look very nice with no rips or ware lines, which shows the quality of leather used in this car. The wood grain is in excellent condition with a minor crack in the center console. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows are fully functional, as is the power antenna. The sound system is also very nice with an Alpine head unit, original head unit comes with the car. Music is crisp and clear and not overwhelming. The sound system definitely adds to the driving experience of this roadster. This interior is absolutely beautiful and shows the previous owner really took care of the car. The car also has a gorgeous ALL Leather with seat belts "Kinderseat" installed in he back which is great for bringing your small grand children on a road trip! The trunk compartment has been freshly cleaned and looks great. The spare tire compartment is clean as a whistle and the spare tire has never hit the pavement! The panel that covers the power antenna is not present. Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The V8 engine is surprisingly quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The car was always regularly serviced by Mercedes authorized dealers. The book shows regular oil changes, always receiving synthetic oil changes at Mercedes certified dealers (book reports until 30k). This car just had the oil changed, tune up, and transfer case seals replaced and given a clean bill of health. Under the hood is clean as a whistle and looks like new. The car will include 3 keys,key remotes, original spare tire, top removal tool, and the maintenance books and owners manuals. One owner southern California Car sold new at Caliber motors, this original SL is the last of the 560 Sl's, Adult female Dr. owned it was her pride and joy, garage kept under a cover, all records since new and always serviced at the Mercedes dealer, there is a file of service records two inches thick, Original deal sheet, temp RS sticker, This was the owner of the dealerships demo and had 2300 miles when she purchased it, the car has all of it is original manuals, all five orignal keys, never in an accident and a clean copy of the current Car fax dictates the one owner as well as the miles. Excellent red paint with no dents or damage, original paint with the acceptation of the passenger top half of the door, there was a scratch repaired by the Mercedes dealer with the reciept of $1100.00. Every body panel and part still has the mercedes facotry vin sticker on it. hard top in excellent shape, the soft top was never used and is excellent with one small blem as seen in the photos. The original tan leather has not been dyed, is not dried out or faded, always stored inside. Cold AC, all serviced to date. A wonderful one owner example. Non smoker car. Any other photos can be taken, A recent PPI was done but buyer could not get his finances in place, original front end bushings were a little dry and was recomended to replace, small chip very small in windshield, has been fixed so it will not grow, the front end is tight I dont know if I was told this in order to get me down more on my price, Alignemnt is perfect, tires and brakes also very good, mechanic said this was a very nice example.
