Originally sold in Southern California, this three-owner example had been in South Florida since 1997 before we acquired it earlier this winter. Always well maintained, the car is as mechanically strong as it is cosmetically clean, used consistently throughout its 28 years of service, but as a secondary car, yielding its low original miles The car looks and runs more like it’s a couple years old rather than nearly three decades. The Signal Red finish is in excellent condition, marred only by the most negligible of imperfections, none of which are significant enough to appear in any of the pictures. All of the panel fits and gaps are perfect and there’s absolutely no evidence of accidents, further bolstered by a clean Carfax report. Perhaps the car’s most visible imperfection is a soft ding on the top of the front bumper, however it’s difficult to see as the front license plate sits directly in front of it. The rest of the chrome is good original condition, as is all of the rubber and glass, the both the hard top and soft top are in great shape, the latter retaining a crystal clear rear window. The car’s black interior is equally clean, the seats showing only minimal wear typical of any 48k mile example. The carpets and interior panels are in great condition and the dash and interior wood trim are free of cracks. Lastly, the original chrome wheels are wrapped in tires with plenty of remaining tread. Always well maintained, the engine starts easily, idles smoothly and consistently and pulls strongly and smoothly through each of the gears. The car drives and brakes straight and true and is extremely comfortable with a civilized modern ride quality, whether tooling through town, winding through the canyons or bombing down the highway at Autobahn speeds. Beautiful silver with burgundy interior and pinstripe. Black convertible top in good condition. I am second owner and have had since 8/97. Purchased in Virginia. Previous owner lived in North Carolina. Do not drive enough especially in last several years. Put on less than 24,000 miles since acquiring. Never used in my work, only used as "play car" from day one. Bought new 4-runner in 2006 which is my primary car. Health issue prevents me from using as convertible now. Love this car but not able to drive enough and properly maintain. Needs new owner who will. Garaged until 2006 and then carported at current home. Some minor work I think and an exterior polish will be all she needs. I never drove in inclement weather, only took out on nice day in Spring, Summer, early Fall. Take out now to drive around town for few miles to keep all parts moving and battery charged, once a week or less. Lots of pep, that is for sure. The previous owner put 1000’s of $ in this car in January of this year Many new parts All parts are original Mercedes OEM: Springs Control arm bushings Track rod mounts Tie rods and other rubber pieces, again, all OEM parts Flex discs are new (OEM) Rims are original, no vibrations at any speed Many rubber hoses and mounts on the motor are new Full Transmission service was done in January, flush, filter, fluid New oil change New plugs and wires Power steering flushed, new fluid Radiator and hoses are 6 month old All lights work Power windows work as new New battery Original Mercedes Tool to remove Hard & Soft Top included There are no leaks !!! Brakes work as new, rotors and pads do not need to be replaced at this time To good to be true? What’s wrong with it? Speedo and clock gauges don’t work Hard top included but rear glass broken Soft top is decent but not perfect, small hole in side window, very little yellowing The car was repainted in it’s original color, but has flaws, please view the picturesThe driver door has a spray can repair on the paint, see picture. Heat and AC stays only in Max heat, no matter of temperature control adjustment ABS light is on, but breaks work as new Original Becker Radio working, except cassette.
