i am selling my 2004 Mercedes Benz S430 in really good shape. Just serviced, with about $10000 worth of recent service and service related repairs, including, timing belt and all the tensions pulleys ($500), OEM drilled rotors and brakes ($1200), transmission computer/valve body ($2500), new shifter mechanism ($850 w work), new lock and upgraded 2010+ key ($2000), new front seats covers($150), new instrument cluster and programming ($750), new engine and transmission software ($2000) and upgraded 17 inch OEM wheels and tires ($1900).Everything that needed to be replaced in this car due to its age, already has been replaced.Car has everything from powerful, yet economical, V8 engine and 7 speed transmission w manual shift option, to 16 ways adjustable heated memory seats, sunroof, power rear sun shade, adjustable ride height suspension, bi-xenon lights, sport and comfort shift and suspension modes. It was well over 90,000 new.I had this car for almost 3 years. Bought it on Ebay for $9,700 in January 2013 and put more than $10,000 in it. I now have almost $20,000 in this car, therefore, please make responsible offers and do not low ball me.In total the car now has about 149K miles, which are most likely 50-70% highway and the car now runs better than it did when i bought it because of all the service done to it.This is car is in a lot better mechanical condition than many of the other comparable 00-06 Mercedes S and E class that are sold here for more money. I have been buying cars on eBay for a long time and thus I have experienced the average Ebay sold older vehicle condition personally. If you are local to Philadelphia, I welcome you to bring your mechanic to check the car out. All the work has been done at local authorized Mercedes Benz mechanic shop location. Whoever is lucky to win this auction and buys this 2004 Mercedes Benz S430 will be getting a really good car, worth every penny. I owned many different S and CL class mercedes (including 2012 S65 Renntech i own now) and i can ASSURE you that this is truly great, reliable luxury vehicle that you can get for about 6% of its original price!IF YOU PASS ON THIS DEAL. YOU WILL MOST LIKELY GET (MUCH) WORSE VEHICLE FOR MORE MONEY. TRUST ME. I KNOW THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A SALVAGE TITLE!!!!!! Main thing that matters when it comes to 9-12 years old cars, is how they run and how much money they will require you to put into them over the course of the next year or two. Mercedes (even an older one) is a VERY expensive vehicle to fix if it breaks. In fact the valve body (TCU) on 2004-2006 S class cost twice more than it does for the next body style Mercedes S class. I learned it when I had to replace it on this 2004 Mercedes and on my "old" 2007 Mercedes S65. So what should matter most to the buyer who is buyng the vehicle for his own use, is not the accident the car was professionally reconstructed from 8 years or so ago, but what was done in the last two years to replace the parts that are due to break after 120K miles. Also, if you see same age S or E class Mercedes with 50-70K miles, I would highly question this mileage. 50-70K E Class and 90-100K S430 and S500 is not 160K S600 or $225K S65 and is usually bought as every day driver (while 200K+ S65 is often bought as the "weekend car" because it is the same class and price vehicle as Bentley Flying Spur), so 12-14K miles per year is expected from a vehicle such as the one I am selling.Cars are my passion and I take every car I own VERY seriously.

Here is one of the nicest W140 available in the entire U.S. today. Outlined below is the brief history of this vehicle as I sought it out, meticulously refined it, and brought it up to a very high level specification. I have driven it maybe 2,000 miles since I purchased it last year. It currently has 123K. I am an amateur Mercedes Benz enthusiast, having owned several different body styles from classic and modern eras. I’ve owned flagship W126 (SEL420) body styles, passed down from family members, to $125K absurdities ,like the G55 AMG Galendewagen. I was looking for a suitable project to continue my passion in MB cars, and was choosing between W116, W123, W124, and W140 body styles. I ultimately decided on the W140 body as it represents a watershed moment in Mercedes development history, bridging their incomparable W126 bodies, to the modern era. Ridiculously over the development budget, the W140 was a series of engineering feats combined into a single package. I strongly suggest that a potential buyer learn about the history of these vehicles, it really helps to appreciate what went into these cars and makes caring for them that much more rewarding. Once I decided on the W140 body style, I needed to choose a model. The W140 came in a variety of configurations from the 6 cylinder, up to a 12 cylinder beast, with a few 8 cylinder models in the middle. I originally sought out the V12 despite sound reasoning. These cars are incredibly difficult to service on your own and MB dealer servicing of a V12 will get ridiculously expensive, fast. In my search, an S320 keep appearing in my searches, very clean and original, with the 6 cylinder engine. The more I looked into this car, the better it sounded for a solid baseline for my project. I went to see it and it was a perfect fit for my needs. Not perfect, but having a great foundation for which I could build from. All of the things it needed were normal for the age of the car, things I will outline in detail below. Replaced or Repaired: - MP3, SD Card, with Streaming Audio to ORIGINAL factory Radio. Incredible Sound System! - ENTIRE Front End Suspension Rebuild. Drives like a brand new car. $$$!! - Transmission Service. Rebuild of automatic valve body and replaced conductor plate and valves. - Hand painted pin stripes - Filter and fluid change. - Alternator replaced with Bosch OEM - Heater “T” fitting replaced as preventative measure. - Thermostat, O Ring, Cap, petcock, and coolant. - Sunroof Shade - Interior Rear View Mirror - Wheels and Tires - New AMG style wheels - New Continental Extreme Contact Tires - Refinished arm rest leather - New Cabin Air Filters - Radio On/Off Button - Grey Plaid London Fog Umbrella for rear deck - New shift knob emblem - Replaced sun visors and vanity mirrors - Disconnected OEM cellular phone system (correctly) - New OEM Floor Mats - New S600 Grille - Battery Tender Installed. I only drove the car 2k miles since purchased and left on trickle charge. Quick connect. - OEM First Aid Kit - OEM Owner and Service Manuals - Key with Silver MB Keyring - Headlight Access Cover (in engine bay) - Clear Turn Signals with Amber Bulbs - Super Bright LED Glovebox Light - Set Belt releases re-colored red - Badged as an S500 - Authentic Euro Plate with Stuttgart Seal - Stuttgart trunk badge Extra Parts Not Installed: - New front seat leather for both seats, backs and bottoms - Rear Passenger Vacuum Actuator for Lock - Extra 3M Di-Noc Wood Trim Material - Collection of MB Emblems and Badges Remaining Issues: - Sunroof Cover. I paid over $300 for a replacement sunroof shade. They are known to have their material start to sag. The sunroof works perfectly and the replacement shade is perfect, except that the corner is snagging and needs to be cleaned and hit with contact adhesive or it will begin to have the same issues again. It is a 20 minute job, maybe an hour done very slowly. - Outside Mirrors Control. The outside mirrors were replaced, but they are not the same connectors, os they are not controlled by the in car switch. A person handy with wiring would be able to mate the connectors. I am the only one who ever drives the car, so I set them in place by hand and have not touched them since. - Rear Passenger Door Lock Actuator. The rear passenger door works perfectly well. The issue is that the door actuator will lock the door, but will not unlock it. You have to lift it up by hand. I have a replacement pump for it which should be an easy swap. - Some bubbling of 3M interior material. The wood interior pieces were refinished using a 3M Di-Noc wood material that looks incredible, much better than the original cherry wood. It makes the car look many years newer inside. There are some places where the material is lifting up. I am including a few extra feet of material. A heat gun and some effort should fix it easily. Even with the small imperfections, it is much, much more attractive than the original trim. - - - Here is a walk around video and discussion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41y4CvkS-Qs Feel free to ask me any questions, I am always happy to speak to another Benz fanatic. - Shannon

Real nice car, get ready for the winter. I was going to use it for my primary vehicle so I fixed all issues the car had and replace many parts. Over $4,000 invested lately, including strut replacement, sensors, hydros, programming, etc. This car is the ultimate luxury sedan, priced at over $70,000 when new! Amazing German engineering, flawless engine. Fast and reliable. Many many extras and options, including memory seats, cruise, sunroof, automatic rear window shade, auto trunk lid, airmatic suspension, all wheel drive, premium sound, etc, etc. Here's a video of the car: http://youtu.be/5TF5c4eOHqk Car has a pa r title due to a rear fender-bender many years ago which has been repaired, no issues there. Needs to go so give me an offer. Thanks
