For 2003, Mercedes made a number of significant advances in performance and safety. Responding to the ever-rising performance bar in this class, Mercedes installed a new, more powerful 493-hp V12 in the top-of-the-line S600 and added a supercharger to the S55, also yielding 493 horses albeit less torque. (If that's still not enough for you, Mercedes has slotted an even more powerful S65 AMG model into the lineup for 2006.) Practical technology comes in the form of all-wheel drive, dubbed 4Matic, which is available on the S430 and S500 models. Ideal for those who live in rainy or snowy climates, 4Matic automatically directs power to whichever wheel(s) have the best grip. And at the forefront of safety is the Pre-Safe system, which can sense an imminent accident and automatically tighten the seatbelts and position the power seats to afford the best protection for the occupants. For those who don't need the ultimate in power for their large sedan, Mercedes-Benz introduced the S350 for 2006. This S is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 with 241 hp. Regardless of engine choice, the S-Class is still one of the top sedans in its class and certainly the winner when it comes to curbside prestige. Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options The four-door S-Class sedan is available in four models: the S350, S430, S500 and S600. All models come with most of the luxury features you would expect in a sedan of this caliber, including 14-way power-adjustable front seats, a DVD navigation system, Bose premium audio system, and rich leather and wood trim. Notable options include ventilated front seats with a massage feature, a keyless entry and start system (called Keyless Go), adaptive cruise control and a sport package that includes larger wheels and tires, resculpted bumpers and side skirts. Powertrains and Performance The entry-level S350 features a 3.7-liter V6 with 241 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The S430 is powered by a 4.3-liter, 275-hp V8, while the S500 offers more power courtesy of its 5.0-liter V8 rated for 302 hp. Both V8 engines use a seven-speed automatic transmission, while the V6 uses a five-speed unit. The top-of-the-line S600 uses a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V12 rated to produce 493 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque; it's paired with a five-speed automatic. Mercedes claims that the S600 can hit 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds, placing it in a league usually occupied by exotic sports cars. The S430 and S500 are available with either the standard rear-drive setup or the fully automatic 4Matic all-wheel-drive system as a no-cost option. Note that 4Matic-equipped cars use a five-speed automatic instead of the seven-speed. Safety Every S-Class sedan includes "Pre-Safe," which determines accident probability by using sensors in the stability control and BrakeAssist systems. Should an accident seem unavoidable, the system applies split-second tensioning of the seatbelts, moves the front-passenger seat and power-adjustable rear seats to the most favorable positions and closes the sunroof (if the vehicle is skidding). If the accident is averted at the last moment, the seatbelt tensioning is cancelled and the seats are reset to their original positions. Of course, Pre-Safe joins a list of already impressive safety features that includes four-wheel antilock disc brakes, electronic traction and stability control, seat-mounted side-impact airbags for front occupants and side curtain airbags that protect both front and rear passengers. Interior Design and Special Features Virtually every luxury and convenience item to be found in an automobile, including a DVD-based navigation system and power door-closing assist, is standard on each S-Class sedan. Still, there are optional designo interior trim packages which include more dramatic leather and wood combinations, as well as dynamic multicontour front seats, four-zone climate control and power-adjustable rear seats. Driving Impressions The S-Class has that enviable quality of feeling smaller and more nimble than its substantial size suggests. Strong acceleration, precise handling and a relaxing ride remain strong virtues of Mercedes' senior sedan. The S600 provides truly exceptional performance in a straight line, but BMW's 760Li is still a more involving driving experience. The current generation, introduced in 2000, brought sleeker styling, more advanced technology and greater performance than the heavier versions that preceded it. Two models were available initially, the S430 and S500 sedans, with V8 engines of 4.3 liters (275 horsepower) and 5.0 liters (302 horses), respectively. Lighter and less expensive than the robust Benz sedans that preceded it, the 2000 S-Class earned praise for its sleek body, exceptional comfort and performance that belied its size. However, it was criticized for overly complex controls, especially the standard COMAND system that operated the navigation and audio systems. Soon after, two more S-Class sedans joined the lineup, the top-dog S600 (with its 362-hp, 5.8-liter V12) and the AMG-tweaked S55 (which had a 5.4-liter, 355-horse V8), making sure both the ultraluxury and ultraluxury/sport sedan markets were covered. For 2003, Mercedes made a number of significant advances in performance and safety. Responding to the ever-rising performance bar in this class, Mercedes installed a new, more powerful 493-hp V12 in the top-of-the-line S600 and added a supercharger to the S55, also yielding 493 horses albeit less torque. (If that's still not enough for you, Mercedes has slotted an even more powerful S65 AMG model into the lineup for 2006.) Practical technology comes in the form of all-wheel drive, dubbed 4Matic, which is available on the S430 and S500 models. Ideal for those who live in rainy or snowy climates, 4Matic automatically directs power to whichever wheel(s) have the best grip. And at the forefront of safety is the Pre-Safe system, which can sense an imminent accident and automatically tighten the seatbelts and position the power seats to afford the best protection for the occupants. For those who don't need the ultimate in power for their large sedan, Mercedes-Benz introduced the S350 for 2006. This S is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 with 241 hp. Regardless of engine choice, the S-Class is still one of the top sedans in its class and certainly the winner when it comes to curbside prestige. Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options The four-door S-Class sedan is available in four models: the S350, S430, S500 and S600. All models come with most of the luxury features you would expect in a sedan of this caliber, including 14-way power-adjustable front seats, a DVD navigation system, Bose premium audio system, and rich leather and wood trim. Notable options include ventilated front seats with a massage feature, a keyless entry and start system (called Keyless Go), adaptive cruise control and a sport package that includes larger wheels and tires, resculpted bumpers and side skirts. Powertrains and Performance The entry-level S350 features a 3.7-liter V6 with 241 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The S430 is powered by a 4.3-liter, 275-hp V8, while the S500 offers more power courtesy of its 5.0-liter V8 rated for 302 hp. Both V8 engines use a seven-speed automatic transmission, while the V6 uses a five-speed unit. The top-of-the-line S600 uses a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V12 rated to produce 493 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque; it's paired with a five-speed automatic. Mercedes claims that the S600 can hit 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds, placing it in a league usually occupied by exotic sports cars. The S430 and S500 are available with either the standard rear-drive setup or the fully automatic 4Matic all-wheel-drive system as a no-cost option. Note that 4Matic-equipped cars use a five-speed automatic instead of the seven-speed. Safety Every S-Class sedan includes "Pre-Safe," which determines accident probability by using sensors in the stability control and BrakeAssist systems. Should an accident seem unavoidable, the system applies split-second tensioning of the seatbelts, moves the front-passenger seat and power-adjustable rear seats to the most favorable positions and closes the sunroof (if the vehicle is skidding). If the accident is averted at the last moment, the seatbelt tensioning is cancelled and the seats are reset to their original positions. Of course, Pre-Safe joins a list of already impressive safety features that includes four-wheel antilock disc brakes, electronic traction and stability control, seat-mounted side-impact airbags for front occupants and side curtain airbags that protect both front and rear passengers. Interior Design and Special Features Virtually every luxury and convenience item to be found in an automobile, including a DVD-based navigation system and power door-closing assist, is standard on each S-Class sedan. Still, there are optional designo interior trim packages which include more dramatic leather and wood combinations, as well as dynamic multicontour front seats, four-zone climate control and power-adjustable rear seats. Driving Impressions The S-Class has that enviable quality of feeling smaller and more nimble than its substantial size suggests. Strong acceleration, precise handling and a relaxing ride remain strong virtues of Mercedes' senior sedan. The S600 provides truly exceptional performance in a straight line, but BMW's 760Li is still a more involving driving experience. S500 4Matic spent the last 8+ years in Florida and can be picked up in Pennsylvania. What makes this S500 4Matic special is that it spent the majority of its time in Florida, and has the very desirable options of AMG exterior sport package, vented (and heated) seats, and also parktronic. The key to the seats is the leather used for the vented seats is of much higher quality than standard S500 leather seats, so they look great (don't have the visual wear issue of standard S series seats). The MB factory installed AMG exterior sport package really enhances the looks of this S500, hard to find a S500 with the AMG package AND 4matic, and without rust corrosion issues makes this a very hard to find vehicle. This S500 spends every night in the garage. Everything in the vehicle is factory, no aftermarket modifications or parts used. Everything MB, from the air and oil filters to the MAF. In the last six months the MAF, Crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, and both divertors were replaced as a preventative maintenance plan. Those items can fail, they have all been replaced on this S500 with OEM replacement parts and I have the receipts to validate their replacements. The S500 is in excellent condition, it is not in perfect condition. I would rate the exterior a 9 and interior a 9. I can drive this S500 to you if you want. It is ready to drive anywhere. Also, the tires have less the 4,000 miles on them.

Entire Agreement - The terms and conditions memorialized in this Sales Agreement comprise the complete, entire and final agreement between Buyer and Seller. No other terms, negotiations, proposals, representations, commitments, understandings or agreements between Buyer and Seller, either written or oral, shall be valid or enforceable, unless expressly contained in the Sales Agreement. The Sales Agreement may be modified or amended only upon express written consent of both parties. 2. "AS IS" - Buyer acknowledges that the automobile contemplated by this transaction is a used automobile and is offered for purchase in its current state, or, "as is." Seller makes no guarantee as to condition, mileage, year, model or any other circumstance regarding the automobile. Buyer acknowledges that the actual condition of the automobile may vary from any photographs, statements or representations made by Seller. Buyer represents that he/she had an opportunity to inspect the automobile prior to purchase and acknowledges that Seller has no responsibility for any defects or repairs, regardless of any representations (oral or otherwise) made by Seller. Furthermore, Buyer acknowledges that Seller will not provide a warranty of any type with regard to the automobile and, therefore, depending on the status of the manufacturers warranty, there may be no warranty of any type covering this automobile. 3. Purchase - Buyer is deemed to have purchased the automobile upon satisfaction of each of the following events: (1) Buyer and Seller have executed this Sales Agreement; (2) Seller has issued the registration (either Pennsylvania or in transit registration); (3) Buyer has executed the "Buyers Guide"; (4) Buyer has paid, in full, for the automobile; and, (5) Buyer has taken possession of the automobile. Buyer shall be deemed to have taken possession of the automobile, and therefore, any and all risks associated with possession, at the time the automobile is removed from Sellers premises, either by Buyer, Buyers agent or shipper (regardless or whether Seller arranged shipping on Buyers behalf). 4. Limited Warranty - THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WRITTEN OR ORAL, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. SELLER HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND (WHETHER ARISING BY IMPLICATION OR BY OPERATION OF LAW). THIS SECTION SURVIVES THE TERMINATION OR CANCELLATION OF THIS SALES AGREEMENT. 5. Limitation of Liability - SELLERS LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR RESULTING FROM OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED TO THIS TRANSACTION OR THE AUTOMOBILE CONTEMPLATED BY THIS TRANSACTION SHALL NOT EXCEED BUYERS PURCHASE PRICE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES IN CONTRACT (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, FAILURE OR DELAY IN PERFORMANCE OR DELIVERY DUE TO ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER), TORT (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE OR STRICT LIABILITY) OR OTHERWISE. IN NO EVENT IS SELLER RESPONSIBLE TO BUYER FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ALL DIRECT OR INDIRECT COSTS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THOSE DAMAGES WERE FORSEEABLE. ANY CLAIM BY BUYER SHALL BE DEEMED WAIVED UNLESS PRESENTED IN WRITING TO SELLER WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS FROM THE DATE BUYER TOOK POSSESSION. 6. Force Majeure - Seller shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance hereunder due in whole or in part to (i) acts of God, (ii) strikes, lockouts, or other labor disputes, (iii) civil commotion, sabotage, fire, flood, or explosion, (iv) acts of any governmental agency or authority, (v) unforeseen circumstances (vi) inability to obtain or delay in obtaining any necessary governmental approvals, permits or licenses, (vii) mechanical failure, (viii) or any other cause which is not within the reasonable control of Seller, whether or not of the kind specifically enumerated above. 7. Choice of Law, Jurisdiction & Venue - The transaction to which this document relates shall be governed by the substantive laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In the event of any dispute between the parties arising out of this transaction, the parties agree and consent that the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for the resolution of such dispute shall be Pennsylvanias Court of Common Pleas, Montgomery County, or the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. 8. Notices - No notice or other communication is sufficient to affect any rights, remedies or obligations of either party unless the notice or communication is in writing and (as elected by the party giving the notice or communication) is (i) personally delivered, (ii) transmitted by facsimile (with a receipt acknowledgment), (iii) transmitted by electronic computer mail, (iv) transmitted by a recognized courier service or (v) mailed in registered or certified form, to the party to which notice or communication is being given. Notice shall be delivered to the address specified below. 9. General - In the event that any provision contained herein is held to be invalid or unlawful, such provision shall be severed from the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any provision hereof and no single waiver shall be held to constitute a continuing waiver or subsequent waiver. I purchased this car with 47,000 miles while still under warranty from the original owner. The window sticker was $107,000.....$92,000 base price and many, many, options....believe the pano roof, massaging seats & adaptive cruise are the only options not on car. ALWAYS serviced by authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer. 2003 Mercedes-Benz S430 4Matic We are pleased to present this absolutely unbelievably GORGEOUS Mercedes-Benz S430 4Matic Sedan. These cars are legendary for many reasons, and are becoming increasingly difficult to find. The 4Matic models like this one, are especially rare, and virtually impossible to track down. This car shows no accident or damage history at all on the carfax, and has only had two owners since it was new. We also have extensive service history for the car, and the car presents itself as having been maintained exceptionally well in both how it looks and how it drives. The interior of the S430 is in incredibly good condition. It has black genuine leather heated seats with beautiful lighter walnut accents on the dash and door panels. The contrast of the wood against the black interior is beautiful. The wood trim is also framed with a small chrome strip. The car has the BOSE audio system upgrade which sounds excellent. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. The cigarette lighter hasn't even been used, and there is no odor at all. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages which folds out of the center console. There is also an accessory additional cup holder mounted in front of the passenger seat. This Mercedes has dual front airbags, as well as side airbags positioned in the front and rear doors. There are also side curtain airbags for the front and rear passengers. Both front seats are, of course, fully power with controls on the doors. The steering wheel is also power operated and it tilts and telescopes. There is a set of the original carpet floor mats included, and they are in very good condition. The genuine wool carpets under them are nearly flawless as well. It also has a very nice DVD-based navigation system which works well. Also, check out the Vanity mirrors for the rear seat passengers. Very cool! The exterior of this S430 is in incredible condition, and is black in color. It really makes the car stand out, and the condition of the paint is absolutely gorgeous. It is a non-metallic black color. This car could EASILY pass for a car with 50k miles on it. Its condition is incredible! It has the 17" wheels which were revised for the facelift models. There is ABSOLUTELY NO RUST on the body of this car. This car was very well cared for by its owner, and it really shows. There are hardly any, if any door dings or major scratches at all. We have had the car completely detailed and buffed (after the photos were taken.) You'll notice that in the pictures there are the remains of some pin stripes on the car. These have been removed. We removed the pin stripes as we felt they were inappropriate for such a beautiful German luxury car. One really cool thing that's worth mentioning are the very aggressive quad tailpipes which have been added. They really set off the look of the back of the car. They are for looks only, and the exhaust system has otherwise not been modified. They can also be easily removed if you prefer. Just let us know! The tires are all matching Michelins, and are the most expensive tires money can buy in this size. They have plenty of tread left. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. This S430 drives just like you'd expect a Mercedes to drive. It's very smooth, while still handling well. The engine and transmission operate properly. The AirMatic system operates perfectly and we have not observed it lose pressure or lean to either side. This car was a trade-in at the Mercedes dealership. We purchased it from them to offer for sale to our ebay friends. This car is an incredible find, and is something that you would be delighted to own. The car was traded in on a new Mercedes.
