I purchased the car in 2009. I have added/replaced the following: New paint job - original Mercedes colorNew floor mats, front and back100% light gray Sheepskin front seat covers and front armrest cover4 new tires: 225/60 R15 97HConverted AC to R134New timing chain, guides, and tensioner within the past yearSirius Satellite Radio installed, you must subscribe All mechanical work has been performed at German Auto Repair in N. Charleston, SC. by Dan The car is eye-catching, drives great with a very tight transmission. The original price for this car was $52,000. Massive trunk space. There is a small crack in the windshield I will replace before a buyer takes possession. The sunroof seal needs replacing, and the rear main seal has had a small oil leak since I purchased it. For a Mercedes this is pretty low mileage. I have another of the same model with over 400K and it drives like new. I have two other Mercedes or I would keep this one! $4500 or make me a reasonable offer About the 1987 420SEL: The 1987 Mercedes-Benz 420 SEL 4-door sedan sold for $52,000 and was powered by an overhead-cam eight-cylinder engine. It had a displacement size of 256 cubic-inches and offered 200 horsepower. A four-speed automatic was standard and there were disc brakes in both the front and the rear. The 420-Series was new for 1986 and it had a turbo-diesel counterpart - the 300SDL. Both had a 121.1-inch wheelbase. The 3-liter six-cylinder diesel engine offered 150 horsepower.By Daniel Vaughan | Oct 2013 For more information, go to http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z12162/Mercedes-Benz-420.aspx
