**I had a prior ebay account with 399 positive feedback. It was hacked so now I must start over. Buy with confidence** 2001 Mercedes Benz CLK55 AMG Condition: Very Good/ Above Average But, unlike a bolt of lightening that can randomly strike anywhere, anytime, the new 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG produces a more controlled burst of energy, that needs nothing more than a twist of the key to ignite it, and pressure on the accelerator to turn it loose. And with a steady hand on the wheel and a heavy foot on the throttle, the CLK55 AMG carried us to 60 in a scant 5.2 seconds, and on through the quarter mile trap in 13.4 seconds at 107 mph. Sparking this AMG supercar is a tightly coiled 5.4 liter, SOHC, 24-valve, V-8 that utilizes an exclusive AMG-designed and pressure-cast aluminum block. AMG also tweaks the stock Mercedes dual-resonance magnesium intake manifold to increase airflow. The results of these and other modifications is an impressive 342 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. For those unfamiliar with these AMG cars, this car is pretty amazing. Comfortable, luxurious, subtle, and shockingly powerful. If an M3 is a scalpel, a CLK55 is a sledgehammer. With the never ending torque, this car just eats up the road. Turning the traction control off is downright dangerous. On top of this, 24-25 mpg highway! I bought this car from the second owner who owned it for 90,000 miles. I have a folder with $20,200 of service receipts which I will pass on to the new owner. I've owned this car for ~13,000 trouble free miles. I'm an outside sales rep and drove it everyday, as well as taking it down to the Keys 5 or 6 times. I've done the oil changes with Mobil1, had the A/C serviced, professional alignment, and new serpentine belt/idler puller. Never had a problem with it, car runs excellent. Handles nice and tight, idles perfect, doesn't smoke, tons of power. Feels like a much newer car. Exterior has a handful of dings, nicks, and scratches. It's used, and being black, shows every imperfection. That said, the paint shines brightly and does not show 'Florida' fade or clear coat damage. Interior is in very good condition. Some wear on driver's leather but no tears. Passenger seat and rear seats are excellent. No cracks on dash, woodgrain very nice. Headliner has been replaced. Biggest complaint is the factory stereo is missing two buttons and the storage tray below it is cracking a little. New factory stereo included with sale. Headlights have been upgraded to projection HID. Taillights are upgraded to newer LED style. Wheels are 18" Monoblocks from an E55. Subtle roof line spoiler. Two warnings appear: one for the phone (it's been removed) and one for lights (the LEDs make it think there's an issue, they all work) No other malfunctions. I'd drive it anywhere. Reason for sale: I own three cars and am downsizing in anticipation of a move early next year. Will also be listing a 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo and 2006 WRX shortly. Car is sold as-is, no warranty. Buyer responsible for shipping. I'm willing to deliver the car within 500 miles of Sarasota FL for $0.65/mile (total roundtrip miles) after a $1000 absolutely non-refundable deposit. Contact me with any questions. This is an awful lot of power, prestige, and luxury for rickety Mustang money. **Battery in key fob is dead, must use regular key** **Per previous owner, sunroof operation is intermittent, I've never touched it**
