2006 Mercedes CLS55 AMG This is one of the finest automobiles that I have ever owned. It is part of my collection and has been my daily car since I bought it. I pamper all my cars and always do services ahead of time and with the best parts out there. Money has never been a factor with any of my cars. Let me begin to describe my CLS. First everyone on the road gives me the thumbs up and asks at red lights if it is a 2014-15. I just smile and thank them. I made simple changes on the car to my liking. The car is a very sexy, sophisticated automobile so it only needed a few subtle changes. I added HRE custom built 3 piece forged wheels with Hankook Ventus V12 tires. The car has been lowered slightly using the adjustable links so if you want it lower or higher it is a simple turn of a screwdriver. The CLS is notorious for wearing out the inside of the tires. This is mainly because the car was designed in Germany for the Autobahn where stability at extreme high speed is necessary. Since I only need my car to go to the hospitals locally I decided to fix this issue by installing MB Arts upper and lower control arms in the rear with adjustable toe in bars on the rear. The front also has an adjustable caster/ camber set. This has helped dramatically with the even wear of all 4 tires. While I am at the discussion of parts that I have added they include all upper and lower ball joints, 4 new air suspension shocks, IR tinted film on all windows and even though Mercedes recommends that the oil and filter be changed every 10,000 miles with Mobil synthetic oil, I personally do it every 5000. I have had the antifreeze flushed, all brake fluid flushed after I installed 4 new cross-drilled rotors and added Akebono ceramic brake pads for a dustless ride. The power steering fluid was replaced along with the rear differential oil. The transmission fluid and filter were pumped professional through to make sure all the old went out and new came in. This was done every 50, 000 miles to ensure a smooth shifting car. I even changed the supercharger oil even though Mercedes does not call for this on their maintenance records at all. I have learned that if you want things to last you must stay ahead of the maintenance schedule. All belts have been replaced along with all pulleys and tensioners. I have 2 K&N air filters on the car. My friend owns a high end customize shop so he tinted my taillights and removed and repainted my front bumper cover because of the daily sandblasting from driving mostly on the highways. The front grill has been replaced with a more sophisticated one. The car is a non smoker and is clean inside, outside and underneath. There are no known problems or leaks with the car. It drives and looks beautiful. My wife has always wanted me to get a Range Rover so when the Evoque came out I fell in love with it, ordered the "blacked out version" and now that is my hospital runner. I have documented all the repairs and maintenance in a log with receipts. You will not find a nicer CLS55 AMG on eBay or anywhere else. If you truly want one of these I highly recommend you look at mine. You can take it to your mechanic of choice for an inspection and I will also include about 4 extra oil filters. By the way she gets washed weekly by hand and I clay bar her and then apply the finest carnauba wax known to man every 3 months- Swissvax. It costs over $300 per container but gives a beautiful shine and protection to the paint. I have clear title and the only reason I need to sell her is I don't have the room.
