Are you tired of looking at tired, iffy, high mileage SL's in this price range? No history, beat up interiors, shady sellers? Then your search is over. This is a remarkable 2006 SL 500 Roadster, in Iridium Silver with Ash (grey) leather. This is a Southern car since new, sold on September 26, 2005 at Crown Eurocars in St. Pete Florida. The condition is just amazing--I believe it is the nicest used R230 SL500 I have ever seen--and I have seen more than a few. Bodywork, shut lines, paint and trim are just fantastic. I do not see a scratch, ding, rub mark anywhere, and the nose is amazingly free of road rash or marks. Take a look at the photos, even though they really don't do the car justice. She is thoroughly cleaned, prepped and detailed by a Concours geek and judge--me--with only the best products. Glass, trim, plastics are neat as can be, entry and exit areas show no wear, and underhood and trunk look just as new. The car has the factory equipment that you like, such as COMAND navigation, Bose audio, sat radio, Bluetooth capability, heated seats, and of course, the fantastic "vario roof" that made these cars famous. She also has Keyless GO and bi-xenon headlights. It smells like a new Benz when you open the door, and feels it too. There are rubber MB mats on top of the Carpet MB mats, and it doesn't go out in bad weather. Note that I have the wind deflector as well, still in the original packaging, never opened. You get the idea.... Mechanically, the car is just as sound. I have excellent paper records from 2008 forward, most all of them from MB dealers. This car has been maintained with an open checkbook. It is fully serviced, and has no ABC, top, or electrical issues. The ABC has already had the front valve unit replaced, and the fluid refreshed, It just had an "A" service a little over 2000 miles ago at our MB store, and another oil and filter change about 100 miles ago. And I just put two new batteries in about a week ago. Of course, I have all the books and manuals, the MB service history, the original window sticker, and both working remote keys. Oh, and she just had a new set of Michelin Pilot shoes, less than 1000 miles ago. It's very hard to describe how nice this car is. But I am a Benz geek, 40 + years, and MBCA member, and over 35 years in business. I play by the Golden Rule, and have been doing long distance transactions well before Ebay became popular. Please don't call and tell me you can buy this car for $5000 less somewhere else. I'm sure you can buy one cheaper than that, but it will not be THIS car. I would challenge you to find a nice, better prepared car anywhere. If you want a special roadster, this is the one.
