Rare 1971 production date of 9/71. First year of this R107 body style. Black w/tan leather interior. Comes with the matching removable hardtop. Has what appears to be the original 4.5L V8 with automatic transmission. Has the desireable European small bumpers. Comes with the original spare tire. This car will need a minor restoration. It will need a repaint and some interior work. The body is straight with no visible rust but the floors and trunk will need some patches. The engine turns over but will need work to run. The passenger outside door handle is broken. Also some of the valance pieces below the bumpers are missing and will need to be replaced. These two-seater SL Mercedes are moving up in value.
