UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE A VERY SPECIAL EXAMPLE OF THE LAST YEAR OF THE CLASSIC BEST MERCEDES PRODUCT 201 SERIES "BABY BENZ" AESTHETICS Beautiful and original special paint (the special edition was only available in emerald or black), complementary creme beige leather interior; burl walnut (the real stuff) dashboard and trim; sunroof, rear headrests; special 8 cutout alloy wheels. This car has probably been garaged all of its life, given the original paint condition. I believe this automobile would meet NADA Guides Price Report "High Retail Value", defined as "excellent condition overall", but not a 100 point show car, giving a high retail value of $7900. If interested I can email the NADA guide for this vehicle, or it can be accessed online without cost. NADA evaluates classic cars. . FEATURES INCLUDED IN SPECIAL EDITION Paint color, leather interior, power front headrests, power windows, heated side mirrors, European type high performance headlights and fog lamps, 8 cutout alloy wheels, headlight washers (missing), rear headrests. STANDARD FEATURES 4-speed automatic transmission; supplemental restraint system; power assisted steering; cruise control; central locking; fully independent suspension; 4 wheel power assisted disc brakes; electrically heated rear window; outside temperature indicator. MECHANICAL Runs like a dream, and handles beautifully, as the 201 series was known for. It doesn't sound or act like a 4 cylinder. Very throaty and peppy. We had owned a 1985 190E, which we bought new, and we drove that car 220000 miles. We always felt very safe driving it with our family. My wife loved the car, and only traded it when a silver-green Porsche Boxster showed up. She always had misgivings letting the 190E go, so I thought she would love this 93 model. I bought it on Ebay without telling her. I saw it as a like new car for one tenth the price. Unfortunately, she has become hooked on the Boxster, and we don't have garage space for both. The previous owner in Houston was an Engineer and was fanatical regarding maintenance. He told me me he enjoyed doing a lot of it himself. He was a Mercedes affectionado, had owned several Mercedes, and prior to selling it to me 4 months ago listed the following upgrades: new brakes new tires new battery new brake fluid new A/C refrigerant new vacuum module unit new hot water valve new engine thermostat and housing new engine radiator new shocks The central locking only works from the trunk lock. The drivers door lock lock unlocks that door only. Rear door windows have been disconnected and do not function. The previous owner said they both work, but he had disconnected them to repair the child lock. All other power functions work properly. No leaks are evident. The Climate control system functions perfectly. AUDIO VIDEO SYSTEM Previous engineer-owner installed a high-end Sony audio-video system with Bluetooth, hands-free telephone calling, DC/DVD player, picture slide player, Pandora internet radio function, all new speakers USB connection. (load your own music or videos.) HISTORY I was told that a woman-doctor owned was the original owner 18 years, drove 54415 miles. Gave it to her niece, who sold to the Engineer I bought it from; who always washed himself with soft sponge. Never smoked in. Clean CA title and recently smogged. Ask me for a free copy of the CARFAX, which shows no accidents and because of its ownership-says the car is worth $720 more than retail book. SHIPPING the responsibility of the Buyer.
