Summary: 2009 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, 82849 miles, 6.2L 451 HP V8, 7-speed automatic with paddle shifters, P30 performance package, P1 and P2 premium package, exceptional condition inside and out.Over the years I've owned a number of remarkable cars, but none have impressed me like the C63. It is an absolute monster of a car when desired, yet will still cruise quietly down the highway in comfort. I have not owned another car that better combines fun, performance, comfort, and practicality like this one. Please see my detailed description below, and contact me with any questions. I have over 150 high resolution DSLR photos, an Excel maintenance file, and a copy of the Carfax available by email upon request. A YouTube test drive video is here: http://youtu.be/pZNIhRSTWOw?list=UUFKg3cWorquz_Fa5ZCCTLTg Background: To create the C63, Mercedes turned the W204 C-class over to their tuning arm at AMG to create a legitimate M3 and RS4 competitor. The 6.2L V8 is hand built by one technician at AMG complete with his signature on the intake manifold, and installed closer to the firewall to improve weight distribution. The engine is mated to a 7-speed AMG SpeedShift Plus transmission, with comfort, sport, and full automatic mode. An AMG exhaust system provides a spectacular sound track. The suspension, completely revised by AMG to provide more responsive handling, has a 1.4 inch wider track and a quicker steering ratio. Brakes are AMG with massive six piston front calipers and 14.2 in rotors. ESP traction and stability control has a Sport mode or can be fully defeated, unlike in other standard Mercedes products. Performance is supercar territory, 0-60 in 4.5 sec, 0.95 G on the skidpad, 60-0 braking in 102 ft. Wheels are AMG 18" alloys with staggered tire sizes, the front fenders are flared to cover the increased front track, the bulged hood is aluminum, and there is a more aggressive front bumper, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, and side skirts. Inside the C63 gets a unique AMG gauge cluster, smaller diameter sport wheel with a flat bottom and perforated leather, transmission shift paddles, heavily bolstered sport seats with full power adjustment, and carbon fiber trim with the performance package. Needless to say, this is not your average C-class Mercedes. Options:P30 Performance Package - oversized brakes with two piece front steel rotors, stiffer springs, limited slip differential, carbon fiber interior trim, eliminated speed limiter.P1 & P2 Package - power heated memory seats left and right, power lumbar and bolster adjustment, navigation, Harmon-Kardon premium audio, satellite radio, Bluetooth phone, iPod and aux-in connection, power rear sunshade, power heated mirrors, power wheel tilt/telescope with easy exit, self dimming rear view mirror with garage door openers, dual automatic climate control, bi-xenon lights with black interior accents, driving lights with cornering adjustment, rain sensing wipers, and much more. Exterior: There are nearly new cars that don't look nearly this good. No dents, no scratches of note, and a very few rock chips on the front end. Condition is simply superb. Wheels are in like new condition with no curbing or scratches. No headlight haze or sun damage. The paint has a beautiful and deep shine and was recently fully detailed with a clay bar, Zaino polish, and Zaino wax. Please look closely at the pictures to support my description, as it is simply exceptional for a used car. It was the focus of a LOT of attention and photos at the most recent local cars and coffee. Interior: Again, as close to like new as a used car will get. The leather looks new on the back seat and passenger seat, with the driver's seat only showing the slightest wear on the driver's side bolster. Every power function works with no exceptions. No stains, no tears, no scratches, no fading, no wear of any kind. Again, simply exceptional. This C63 is essentially loaded with every feature available, with the exception of Keyless Go. The interior is a very nice place to be with high quality materials, including the most comfortable front seats that I have ever sat in. No squeaks or rattles, and the doors shut with the typical solid Mercedes thunk.Mechanical: Bordering on cliche, but again in exceptional condition. Needless to say the 6.2L V8 has explosive power and instant torque everywhere, along with the most savage exhaust note from a stock exhaust that I have ever heard. Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear UK referred to the C63 as "an axe murderer with headlights", and several magazine reviews called the exhaust note "satanic". Clarkson then proceeded to destroy a set of rear tires in 30 miles of driving. All fitting, because the car is simply incredible and must be experienced. In sport mode the 7-speed automatic is as good as I've experienced, in comfort mode it behaves more or less like an ordinary Mercedes, and in manual it will be as insane as you like, complete with throttle blips on downshifts. Suspension is incredibly tight but never harsh, steering is well-weighted with much better feel than your average Mercedes, and the simply massive brakes provide hand of God levels of deceleration. This is the first AMG product that provided a genuine challenge to BMW M3, and it's not hard to see why. Everything mechanical is in fantastic condition, the car tracks straight and without vibration, brakes smoothly, shifts perfectly in each mode, rides tight without clunks, etc. Tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport with nearly new tread depth. I completed the full 80k service which included OEM wiper blades, brake fluid flush, oil and filter change, transmission fluid and filter change including the torque converter, spark plugs, differential oil change, air filters, and pollen filter. I have receipts for all work done. Partial past service records are available from the Carfax and show Mercedes dealership services since new. All maintenance is summarized in an Excel file and available via email upon request.Flaws: I believe in full disclosure to a fault. Most of my cars are sold to out of state buyers, my goal is for the car to be better than expected. I am yet to have a disappointed buyer. Lug bolts have light surface rust on the bolt heads. Front and rear bumpers have been repainted due to two light accidents, paint quality is excellent with no flaws or mask lines. No evidence of other paintwork. Very small paint crack at the very bottom of the front bumper, you have to be on your hands and knees to see it. Very slight click that can be felt through the steering wheel if you quickly saw it back and forth when parked, only noticeable when quickly turning into a parking spot. Not noticeable when driving, either around town or at highway speeds. I believe it to be light wear in the upper strut mounts, as the tie rods and sway bar links are in excellent condition. Not worthy of concern as it in no way impedes the driving experience.I get to drive a lot of interesting cars, but it pains me to sell this one. It is beautiful inside and out, a blast to drive, and feels special. Please contact me with any questions, or to request a copy of the Excel maintenance file, photos, and Carfax. This is a simply exceptional car that is going to make someone incredibly happy.
