Clear title, bad rod knock coming from engine. Non-roadworthy, otherwise a clean car ready for a rebuilt or engine swap. Transmission shifts smooth, all electrical works as it should, no squeaks or steering slop. A/c needs recharge, radio needs rewiring, excellent interior. Purchased vehicle with a hole in the oil pan punch from the outside in. Believing that no major damage had occurred to the motor I put a new oil pan and alternator as well as adjusted the valves and balanced the injectors. Installed new rear drive shaft flex disk, fuel filters and fresh oil and filter. On its drive through town it started a bad rod knock from what I believe is the #5 cylinder. I immediately stopped when the noise started and had a buddy tow the car to my residence. The car will start however the knock is present and as such, it is not road worthy. Here is an excellent project car, I have owned 3 Mercedes 300d's this one is by far the most rust free 300d I have seen. Excellent underbody and frame. Feel free to ask questions, car is fro sale locally and reserve the right to cancel the sale early in the event it sells locally.

Great driving car. I have had it for three years and bought it from the second owner out of Baton Rouge. He purchased it from the original owner. Whom purchased it out of Germany. This is a grey mark car, meaning it was originally licensed and driven in Germany. The car was taken very good care of by the original owner, he documented all repairs. The second owner only owned the car for 5 months before i purchased it. I will do my best to give an accurate disciption of the vehicle. But am selling as is. Please contact me to view the car in person, if you would like. Brand new paint job. $3,500All outer surface rust metal fixed.Brand new german spec Bosch headlights. $800.00New front windshield and gaskets front and back. $500.00 including installNew updated wheels and tires. $545.00Alpine radio and speakers with XM, BT audio and voice over calls. $750.00Conversion loop to pencil style glow plugs. $350.00New Bilstien Shocks. $450.00Red Top Battery. $150.00New Mercedes 3 point star. Forgot $ I do have the original wheels, hubcaps and tires. They will come with the car. And trim. Issues.Since i bought the car, it has never wanted to go to park. I have always just used the emergency break. From what I have been told my the transmission shop and Mercedes forums. Is that this is a very easy fix. Basically it is a ball bearing that is wore down, and needs to be replaced. And can be done easily (if you are so mechanically inclined or cheaply at a shop) I never had it done. I just have always used the parking break. The AC is out, heat does work. Both front windows stick from time to time. I have not yet purchased the side light markers, but have seen them for sale on auto geek for $200 for all four. Car does not have carpet in rear. I listed as local pickup.
