Hello to those who know and appreciate a fine automobile. I am selling my 1987 260E. She has served me well through the years. It has come time to pass her on to someone who will keep her going and drive her for many more years. I would love to keep her but I no longer drive. She starts right up and purrs like a kitten and on the road she runs like a cheetah. This car has passed emissions and inspection with flying colors every time.Within the past few years the following has been done:The front end has been rebuiltTransmission flush and filterNew alternator Complete brake jobNew Radiator, Fan, fan clutch and pulleyNew beltsNew fog and parking light lensesNew grilleNew BatteryThe interior was redone app. 12 years agoPlus normal MaintenanceAll the above has been done due to age not damageJust before I lost the ability to drive I purchased an AC compressor so it could be converted to R134. This will have to be installed by the new owner.The window motor on the front passenger door has to be installed. I have that also.Everything else with the exception of the sun roof works properly, which will need a link replaced on the track. I had fully intended on doing the above before I became disabled.This 260E is not banged up or a rot bucket. With a little work you will have a gem that has and will outlive most of the new cars. It is very comfortable and pleasure to drive on long or short drives. People can not believe how old she is when I tell them.
