Please call or text 213-822-4485 or email [email protected] in order to set up an appointment. This was a serious and costly restoration. Over $275,000 has been invested in this epic project. Over 3,000 hours of meticulous restoration work over the course of 7+ years. Only 2,729 were ever built to begin with. There simply are no comparables! This 220SE Cabriolet has been restored in the factory midnight blue, color code {904}. A magnificent paint job was done on a bare body with extreme attention to detail both inside and out. Engine bay fully restored to factory specifications using every hose clamp available from that era. Engine, transmission and rear end have all been rebuilt, as well as the front suspension, using new parts from Mercedes-Benz wherever available. The injection pump was rebuilt by Gus Pfister, founder of Pacific Fuel Injection in Northern California, highly regarded as the best place to get these injection parts serviced. The interior was completely redone in the factory using Mercedes-Benz parchment leather. Rather than purchasing a leather seat kit, the seat patterns were crafted from scratch, copying the original seat covers. Carpet was also tailored to the car and not a kit that most people buy online and throw in there hoping that it will adjust itself to the car. The outside door handles were purchased brand new, as well as the lock on the trunk. Our interior guy has only been working on our cars exclusively, which have been only Mercedes Benz and occasionally a Rolls Royce or Ferrari, for the last 35 years. Factory Blue German canvas and original Headliner materials used to rebuild the soft top frame from the bottom up. Every molding has been re-chromed by the best shop in Los Angeles. We also purchased a set of burl wood from Mercedes Benz in Germany circa 1986, fully aware that we'd find good use for it in this 220SE Cabriolet. All brand new factory Mercedes glass was purchased for this project 14 years ago, including a Brand new windshield and molding. It's equipped with brand New European headlights and tail lights items that are no longer available today, a professionally rebuilt factory installed Becker radio and a brand new Hirschman electric antenna; also an item that can no longer be purchased today at any price! There are too many other parts to list. We upgraded the differential to disc brakes for better braking performance, installed all 4 brand new rotors and calipers, brand new bilstein shocks all the way around, 5 brand new Phoenix tires, new master cylinder, replaced brake hoses, and re-cored the radiator. Both, the undercarriage and the trunk were completely redone; detailed with cad plated fuel and brake lines and all new brackets to hold them up. Up for sale for five days only is probably the nicest 1980 Mercedes-Benz 240D sedan on eBay. This rare classic diesel saloon is truly stunning both inside and out. She comes equipped with her factory 2.4 Liter Motor, 4-Speed Automatic Transmission, Air-Conditioning, Power Steering, Four Wheel Power Disc Brakes, Cruise Control, Majestic Manual Webasto Sunroof, Rear Defrost, Pneumatic Central Door Locks, Becker Europa AM/FM Radio and more. With just under one hundred and forty three thousand miles she runs and drives excellent. The Mercedes-Benz 240D models go on forever and 500,000 miles is normal for these diesels to be driven and enjoyed. Everything is in proper working order on this Mercedes. Her A/C blows ice cold, she has been equipped with daytime running lights and even her factory idle control switch on the dash works properly. She comes with factory steel wheels with matching color coded Mercedes hubcaps which have a great set of newer tread all around. Her exterior paint is a lovely Ivory White with a gorgeous Cognac Brown vinyl interior. The body on this saloon is very straight and her bumpers and bright work are all in terrific shape. This Mercedes has a very dry body overall with dry floors, body panels, engine bay, fire wall and trunk with just the slightest amount of corrosion near the front jacking points. Her interior is impeccable and the nicest you will find for a thirty five year old Mercedes. The trunk is all original with her factory spare, plus an original factory Mercedes tool wrap and jack. 1966 Mercedes 250-S 2.5L Inline 6, Twin Carbs, Ice Cold Air, Recent Restoration!! Gorgeous Life Long California Car! Coming to you this week we present to you, a beautiful 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250S Sedan. It is a very solid and rust free example showing its pampered life here in the dry southwest and California. Judging by the service stickers in the door jam and the condition of the original chrome, we have very good reason to believe this was a lifelong California car! Solid vintage MBs in this kind of condition don't come along everyday don't miss your chance....BID NOW!The following is a list of options as this 250S is currently equipped:-Original 2.5L 6CYL Engine-Automatic Transmission-Fog Lamps-COLD Factory AC-Two Tone Exterior Paint Scheme-Original Interior-Aftermarket Stereo/ Speakers-Power Antenna-Aftermarket Alarm The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely well maintained. The black paint on the car was just redone in its original color of code 040 Schwartz Black and is in overall very good condition paint job and does not appear to have any bondo repair or previous collision damage. The car was completely disassembled for paint. All stainless trim was sent out for polishing. The grille was disassembled, the mesh section was powder coated to prevent chipping, and new cross bars and clips were used when putting back together. The headlight bezels and wheel trim rings were re-chromed. The remaining chrome on the car is all in excellent original condition and we saw no need to mess with the originality. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any well cared for garaged car should be, and has never been in any accidents. The car is riding on original steel Mercedes wheels and hubcaps. All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in good shape. The interior is all original condition all around. The supple black seats are all in good condition and look very nice, which shows the quality of material used in this car with a few small flaws. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. The interior wood panels appear to have had some restoration, and some pieces remain original. The steering wheel was just professionally restored, but we couldn't track down an affordable center cap so we retained the original star. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. The trunk compartment is very clean and does have the original jack, the spare tire and wheel, and a original trunk mat. The trunk pan is solid and the cardboard inserts are still in nice shape. The car has updated Pioneer CD sound system for cruising in style. Only rear speakers were installed to prevent unsightly holes being cut in the gorgeous original door panels. Mechanically, this 250s runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The 2.5L is bullet proof and the twin carb setup when tuned correctly makes for a spirited driving experience. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The car recently received a rebuilt transmission, full service, ac compressor, transmission pump, and seals. The car was always regularly serviced and the car was well cared for. Brakes were also gone trough with new pads and a sticking caliper replaced. All in all, this is one of the neat Mercedes. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners.
