This 1983 Mercedes-Benz W123 240D sedan in Dark Blue (paint code 904) with palomino interior is an unrestored survivor that is visually and mechanically near excellent. With just over 149K on the odometer the4 cylinder engine starts runs wonderfully with no smoke. To say this car is well maintained is an understatement. This car has been pampered throughout its life having always been stored in a garage and meticulously serviced. There’s really no rust whatsoever on this car except for some superficial rust in the front passenger side which can easily me attended t. A look in the engine bay proves this car has been very well maintained through its lifetime and in the last year has received a lot of new components including water pump, alternator, hoses battery and brakes. The engine is extremely tidy and the fluids are clean. While there is some patina on the head there all of the components are clean and free of corrosion. Anyone would be proud to lift the lid on this vehicle at a car show or enthusiast gathering. On the road the engine is lively and the steering is accurate. With a strong suspension and tight front end the car drives and stops exactly like it should. Inside the car feels fresh and clean. The radio is aftermarket but the AC system works wonderfully and all of the controls operate as designed. The seats are clean and nearly as new and the carpets have been protected by secondary mats making them pristine, If you are looking for a clean 240D to enjoy as a classic or show this is a perfect candidate. Finding good examples of these vehicles is becoming increasingly difficult and this robust classic will become a sought after vehicle for classic owners, especially those that want to use their vehicle and enjoy it for long road trips. Really Nice clean and honest 250 Sedan in Oriental Red with Palomino interior MBTex. Clean and Dry this car is a two owner vehicle (prior to me owning it a year). I only want to sell this to upgrade my collection. Otherwise I would keep it because it is fun and classy. Chrome is good and paint needs a good wax but is still strong. No rust on the car except for some VERY minor bubbling on the rear right fender. There's a few blemishes on the car but its presentable as heck and could be left as is. Since owning I put new rubber on the car and tightened up the front end. Also Flushed the radiator and brake fluid. On the interior the dash is nice. The carpets and seats are near perfect. Headliner is super. The radio was crapped out on the car so I put in an original radio blank but the wiring is there for the radio. The engine is strong and while the exhaust isn't right for the car its quiet and looks ok. The transmission shifts right. I had a mechanic look at the car before selling to make sure there were no major flaws. The issues he noted were as follows: 1 - Carbs need to be tuned and accelerator linkage should be reset (it drives ok and the acceleration works) 2 - Battery needs replacement. I knew this its a totally small battery for the car 3 right front brake caliper is sticky. This is probably from not driving it enough.
