The 220SE features a unitized body/frame construction and fully independent suspension. Fitted with a 2.2 L straight 6 engine, aluminum head, overhead camshaft, and Bosch mechanical fuel injection. Only 1,112 open top examples were ever produced worldwide. According to a copy of the original Mercedes-Benz DataCard, this particular 220SE is a very late August 1960 example built to North American specifications in White Grey over Red Leather upholstery.
