This vehicle has an inline 6 cylinder diesel engine with 4 speed automatic transmission. The car runs strong and transmission shift smoothly as it should. The engine and transmission have 210,000 miles on them and the engine doesn’t burn or use any noticeable amount of oil between oil changes. I purchased the vehicle in Florida and drove it from the East Coast of Florida to South Western Colorado in one shot without stopping and the car had no trouble. I drove it for the last year and now no longer need a second vehicle for commuting to work as I moved closer to work. My assessment of this vehicle is that it is far from perfect so if you are looking for a very clean car, look elsewhere, and expect to pay more. This car does have a pretty solid core and should provide many more years of reliable safe transportation for its next owners. The Good The engine and doesn’t burn any oil The tires are very high quality Good Year tires with more than 75% tread remaining The car tracks straight down the road and feels tight and solid The transmission shift properly and strong The only concerning rust is on the passenger side front fender shown in the photo and the entire panel is easily replaceable. The leather seats are in great shape and carpets are in good condition with no odd smells inside All of the fuel lines and fuel system 0-Rings have been replaced along with fuel filters The fuel system has been cleaned The heat and automatic HVAC functions all work A bunch of old vacuum lines have been replaced The battery was replaced last year when I got it The Bad The headliner cloth is coming down but is not damaged so it should be able to be re-attached The fuel system got clogged up shortly after I got it from Florida to Colorado and required filters to be cleaned and tank to be cleaned out. But it seems pretty good now. The information portion of the instrument cluster (Time, Temperature, and mileage) has some varying lines of dead pixels and needs a new ribbon cable to repair it. It’s far from perfect but it’s legible most of the time. My neighbor backed into the driver side front fender, I pulled the majority of the dent out and the photos show a good idea of what it looks like now. There’s quite a bit of sun damaged paint where the clear coat and or paint have pealed, mostly on horizontal surfaces. The previous owner had the hood and roof of the car repainted to repair some of the damaged paint. The paint color matches well but the quality of the prep work was not great and there’s a few runs, some small blisters, and a spot around the sunroof where the paint is peeling again. All of the imperfections are show in photos. Some of the automatic seat functions don’t work. I believe it’s just a few bad relays because you can hear them clicking but they don’t work and sometimes did work when I first got it. One of the power locks doesn't always work and is related to a vacuum leak in the system. I had it fixed but it doesn't seem to work well in cold weather. The AC does not work. The system has been inspected and should just need to have a few seals replaced and maybe the compressor then have the system recharged. There is no black residue in the system indicating any catastrophic failure. The car misses and stumbles sometimes when it’s cold, but after you drive it and get it up to temperature it smoothes out and run normal after that. The car does NOT have a lack of power or responsiveness though.
