If you are "car guy" (or girl), and you admire German technology, but still long for the vintage auto, this is the car for you. Offered is a 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL convertible. Included is the hard top. This was my dream car since high school. I graduated in 1979 and when financially secure, looked for a couple of years before finding the 1979 model that fit my demand. Why am I letting it go? Because it is not suitable for our rescues. We have 2 dogs, one old and set in her ways (and hates the wind in her hair), and one that is young and I fear will use the car as her launching pad to greet people on the street. Therefore, they have never ridden in this car. Their safe ride is the SUV. Therefore, I am selling this vehicle to upgrade to a new ride for the girls. This car came from California, thus it is rust-free. The owner of Morley Wheel Service (refer to photo of receipt) called my husband back to have a look while car was on lift, showing him that the car had recently had new brakes installed and that the car had no rust. There was also 1 new Potenza European tire, thus we had him install 3 more of the same and balance all. We also had the same placed on the spare. The following is a list of all the new items we purchased for this car: MB wipers, NAPA battery, hood insulation pad, MB floor mats, MB seat armor (fitted, embroidered towels), MB license plate frame, MB cockpit cover, Potenza tires, new convertible top from Coach Craft, new speakers for stereo, car cover. Also, we had everything under the hood maintained. Please refer to receipts/invoices. I have included photos of receipts and invoices to show the items purchased and work completed. We also had the Mercedes tech install a completely new climate-control system. Everything was removed and replaced with all new parts. Cold in the summer and warm in the winter. This car is a head-turner, so be prepared for a lot of attention. If you are shy, don't buy it. But if you want to be noticed, this is the car for you.
