1986 Mercedes S-Class 300SDL with straight-6 turbo diesel engineThis plush sedan lived in Texas from 1992-2005 so has a relatively rust-free body. Garaged from 2005-2015.Cruise control, Reclining rear seats, Power headrests!Rare long body version made only 2 years in the united states.This car is very well preserved. It has always started on the first try. It is not leaking any oil or fluid on my garage floor. It has tires that look like they have 80% or more tread. It drives nicely and I've taken it on a few trips up and down the oregon coast. The fuel gauge doesn't work about 30% of the time until you get moving. The turbo makes nice power from about 2300rpm and above. For a large car it handles very well. Not expensive to insure, its been a fun car to have but I have too many cars. I purchased this from an elderly couple in town who had owned it at least since 1992. I tried to take some good photos so you can see the decent condition of the mats, carpets, doors, body, seats, console, gauges, etc. Please ask any questions you have.

Listing this absolutely beautiful 77' Mercedes 300D (diesel) Original Miles: 130,115 Runs flawless! This vehicle is absolutely all original with no upgrades or add ons! Which makes it so beautiful, it drives like new, smells like new, everything works from Power windows to A/C! Original radio works! I will let the pictures talk. This vehicle has a rebuilt title due to the car sitting in the driveway and had some high water which did not make it into the interior it has never been wrecked! There is absolutely no rust or any sign of rust! This is a true original gem! Condition is Fair, to the best of my knowledge based on service records I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle and I have owned the car for 5 years. I purchased the vehicle here in Portland, Oregon where the 2nd owner was residing at the time. The original owner lived in Oakland, CA. The car has had many things repaired or replaced but currently it needs repairs and I am hoping a Mercedes enthusiast will purchase the car and restore it! Several of these issues occurred after a heat wave we had here in Oregon, some of the older parts were compromised due to the heat! Current issues: - It has a slow oil leak when the engine is running although it cranks and is driveable. My assumption is that a heat wave we had here in OR compromised some hoses or wires because the vacuum system is now compromised and the car windows do not roll down etc. Prior to the oil leak none of these things were problems. - It needs a new set of headlights due to cracks but the headlights and signal lights work, it's just an aesthetic flaw. - The rear bumper is coming off. - It needs a front end alignment and a new left front tire. - The paint is not in great condition, some chips and fading. 1989 Mercedes Benz 300SEL Beautiful long wheel base S Class Mercedes with only 54,000 original miles. Highly sought after black on black color combination. Desirable inline 6 engine. Carfax is clean and shows no accidents or other issues. Clearly a garage kept vehicle and it shows. Outstanding condition throughout. Truly a collector quality vehicle. Fresh oil service. The following description is based on our observations and may have errors. We highly recommend bidders perform a pre purchase inspection by themselves or by an independent third party before bidding. ExteriorPaint has exceptional depth and shine. No scratches. Minor water spots on roof and hood could probably be removed by a skilled detailer. Body is super straight and has no dings or dents. Doors open and shut with a very gratifying thud and latch noise that you can only find in this era of Mercedes Benz vehicles. Panel gaps are even and don't show any signs of adjustment or tampering. Engine bay is clean. Hood insulation is intact, not falling down or sagging. InteriorNo unpleasant interior odors such as cigarette smoke, pet, or child/fast food smells. Leather is soft to touch with no discoloration, rips, or cracks. Interior wood is in excellent condition. No cracks, peeling or fading. Dash panel is excellent. Headliner has no blemishes. All the power equipment (moonroof, vacuum locks, windows, etc.) operate correctly. Air conditioning blows cold and heat blows hot. Interior lights function properly. Radio and power antenna operate well. We have not tested the cassette deck. MechanicalEngine does not smoke or even let out a puff of smoke on cold starts. No abnormal engine noises (such as rod knock, stuck lifter, etc). Transmission does not slip or execute hard shifts. Tires show even wear and have excellent tread depth. Suspension is healthy and absorbs bumps like an S Class Mercedes should. Tracks straight and true on the road. This car is truly a joy on the freeway. Has a planted and solid road feel. Cruise control works which is rare in these vehicles. No check engine or warning lights. Vehicle exhibits no rust issues. Only minor surface rust on exhaust and other small areas which are shown in pictures. All the power equipment (moonroof, vacuum locks, windows, etc.) operate correctly. Engine and transmission have no fluid leaks. Only minor oil seeping in normal places. Air conditioning blows cold and heat blows hot.
