You are bidding on a 1989 Mazda RX 7 (4 Cylinder). Overall this vehicle is in good condition with normal wear and tear. There is minor damage to the fender on the driver's side which can be easily replaced. Sometimes it has to be placed in neutral for it to start because there is an electrical component that goes to the shifter that needs to be replaced;the transmission slips a little. Other than that, its a great vehicle that can get you to and from work, etc.

Up for auction is one of the rarest model RX7's that Mazda made. This 1983 Mazda RX-7 Savannah GT-X is all original, and is the 12A fuel injected turbo model that Mazda only offered in Japan for 3 model years. The GT-X 12A turbo, is a "Japan only" model that featured similar upgrades as the US model RX-7 GSL-SE- These models featured factory fuel injection, upgraded transmission, the suspension is also upgraded from Mazda with adjustable GAB shock absorbers, rear disc brakes, plus rear seating. The 12A turbo engine was rated at 165 HP vs 135HP for the GSL-SE, these Japanese models were also lighter. This example is all original as acquired from the original owner. It has been professionally repainted the original color. Mileage is 117,000 KM (72,000 miles) I own an RX7 specific professional shop- we have inspected & repaired all the vehicle's mechanical systems including the fuel injection & turbo systems. This Car starts immediate and runs extremely well- turbocharger boosts and performs perfectly The dash is cracked and some of the small interior trim parts need replacement This is a rare opportunity to own a very clean & rare vintage RX-7 of this model! (In our 30+ years of RX7 servicing-this is the only factory 12A turbo RX-7 GT-X we've ever seen)

--> Year: 1983 Mileage: 36235 VIN: JM1FB3315D0727800 Primary color: Silver Transmission type: Engine: 1983 Mazda Limited Edition RX-7 (Two owners from new with 36K miles) Car and Driver Review from January 1983 "Ten Best Cars": "The Mazda RX-7 is the car you buy when you have all the right instincts and are a person of good taste and character but you can't afford a Porsche. The RX-7 does for this generation what the MG TD did 30 years ago, what the Datsun 240-Z did 12 years ago, and what no American-made car does yet: it provides affordable sports-coupe fun for the guy who's buying his first new car. It's loaded with features-coin boxes, trick radios, electric mirrors, and all the other automotive gadgets for which the Japanese are famous-its exterior is clean and purposeful, and it's almost exactly the right size. But the rotary engine may well be the thing that makes the RX-7 such a smash hit in its target market. About the only other place you can find a 7000-rpm redline these days is at your neighborhood Ferrari dealership, and nine-second 0-to-60 times don't exactly grow on trees either. The chassis is straightforward but thoughtfully developed, featuring a well-located live axle and high levels of ride and roadability. Not for nothing is the RX-7 the scourge of the racetrack. Mazda has perfected the polar opposite of the English two-seaters that launched the original sports-car boom in this country: an amusing and stimulating car, yet practical, and virtually without vices."
