2012 Mazda MX5-Miata SE. Beautiful and fun car with low mileage and in very good condition. Lightly used and kept in a custom cover (included) under a carport. Per "Car and Driver" magazine, only 450 of these were sold in the U.S. This car is a real head-turner with the special edition, all black 17 inch alloy rims. Seven-speaker Bose sound system with 6 cd changer plus MP3, blue-tooth hands-free calling, and Sirius XM radio. 2002 Mazda Miata Special Edition, Rare car especially with this low miles. I have owned it since 2010 and it has been garage kept. It has a few minor dings on it that were there when I purchased it. Overall I would say this car is a 9 out of 10. 6 speed manual transmission with brown leather seats. Tires in good shape and transmission shifts smoothly. Cold ac. Do not let this one slip away. I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle and I have had it about 4 years. Invested a lot of money into it and am extremely proud of the how its been finished. Those that have seen my car in person, even those at Hall Mazda, Virginia Beach have all agreed it was one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest Miata they had ever seen. That including its something of a rare beast as only a limited number of these 2000 Special Edition Miatas were produced. 2200 were sold in the states. The other 800 were distributed to the rest of the world. You won't find many. Especially this well maintained and clean. As of today the car is currently fully detailed, cleaned inside and out. I will do my best to ensure it remains as such for a potential buyer. Virginia weather is a mystery so you never know. I made a list below of everything and anything I could think of that I had done to the car during my years of ownership. I have payment receipts, records, documentation. The whole 9 yards. Most of the work has been done by myself and although I am not a formally trained mechanic, I have the utmost confidence in my ability to fix just about anything so long as I have the tools and the space to work. I take great pride in my meticulous vigor for proper maintenance and "Getting the job done the right way, the first time, every time." The vehicle is an original California car, originally sold in Escondido,CA. I am a California native, and I have even kept my registration in California the past 3 years I had been here in Virginia on my sea tour. New set (left+right) OEM Mazda Miata foglamp housings covered in yellow headlight armor using cree chip amber LEDs 8. Tein Basis coilovers (works great for daily driving, very comfortable) 9. OEM Factory hardtop with headliner and defroster sold together with the Miata at the dealership - option added by original owner 16. soft top is in perfect condition. i just never use it since i prefer the hardtop Engine and Performance: 1. 1.8l VICS 1999-2000 SE motor, bottom end was replaced with new engine back at 50k, I spun a rod shortly after taking ownership of the car due to my ignorance when I was a younger, less wise sailor. That is now obviously no longer the case. I have all documentation and receipts of work done. 2. Fresh timing belt + water pump, all seals pulleys and front timing cover @ 77K-ish all replaced with brand new Mazda OEM parts. Done by Master Mazda Technician "Chip" at Hall Mazda in Virginia Beach (have all paperwork) 3. Engine oil always changed every 3K or every 2-2.5 months with Eneos 5W-30 oil and K&N HP-1008 oil filter (I stock this in my garage, all my cars use ENEOS everything) 4. Racing Beat Ignition wires - 10K miles on them so far 5. New NGK Iridium IX - Heat Range "7" plugs 6. New coil packs installed - 10K miles on them so far 7. New-ish Powersport slotted rotors and ceramic pads 8. NRG oil fill cap 9. 4-Wheels ABS!!!! One of the few 00 SE with this option - YES! ABS works a treat! 10. New KOYO OEM Radiator w/ Koyo Radiator Cap 11. Coolant flushed and re-filled with proper 50/50 mix when I installed new radiator (hoses are in fantastic shape) 12. New thermostat installed 180 degree type 13. Pivot Mega Raizin Voltage Regulator - alternator peaks at +15.2V drops under load to +8.7V (well over factory specs) 14. NRG grounding kit (utilizing air intake directly grounded to firewall as base with branches extending to the TPS, Coilpacks, Alternator, Throttle Body, main fuse box, engine 15. Moss Motorsports washer bottle relocation kit 16. Valve Cover painted crinkle black 17. Recently replaced clutch master and slave cylinder. Also recently bled out entire clutch and brake system. super clean fresh fluid! 18. Power steering fluid has been flushed and replaced with lucas synthetic stuff 19. New PCV valve from Mazda 323 GTX - better for boost 20. Track Dog Racing upgraded tensioner 21. Track Dog Racing 62.5mm supercharger pulley (6lbs boost) 22. Jackson Racing M45 supercharger - very good condition, When i first installed it I flushed the supercharger out for a week running 8 oz of regular GM supercharger oil, took the nose apart, cleaned the vanes and the oil reservoir, replaced the coupler with a polymer based one and refilled the supercharger with Jon Bond Performance synthetic awesome sauce. Keeps air intake temperatures waay down, much better than the GM stuff. 23. Track Dog Racing intake w/ Injen hydrosock - i still have the foam box intake from JR as well as stock pulley etc. 24. Hey ebay this is my 2002 special edition Mx-5 I am the second owner. The first owner used it to commute to work. It had the 100,000 tune up done on schedule. Its the m edition so its full leather and premium sound as well as a dual din pioneer touch screen which has navigation and Bluetooth. Also plays movies. Ac works perfectly. It has a torsen limited slip. 16" wheels. Nice sounding muffler. Pretty loud but its a nice tone. Newer soft top in perfect condition with glass back. Clean title never been abused. Everything in the car works and is in good condition. All stock except for the muffler. All repairs have been done in the past as needed. Drives super straight and is very responsive. 1.8L 16 valve dohc engine. Other than that the car runs strong and healthy. I love this car but I have to let it go. 2000 Mazda MX-5 Miata Clean Title (Bitcoin Accepted) ALSO ON CRAIGLIST LOCALLY, I WILL CANCEL THIS IF IT SELLS LOCALLY. This Miata began to make a knocking noise and was garaged hoping to get it fixed while I drove my other car. Haven't had a chance to get this car to a mechanic and the car has been sitting for a few months. Now I'm moving to a different state and I'm going to have to cut ties with this car if someone is willing to take over. The car is on a non-op title now. The car has been in the garage long enough for the battery to die as well (which is why the odo number is approximate) . ~120,000 Miles (Battery is dead, record on the title says 113,870 miles, but the car has a few thousand more miles after that record was taken. It's less than 120,000 miles but because I can't give you an exact reading without going out and buying a battery I rounded up to 120,000. You'll be happy to see a lot less on the actual odo when you give it some life again.) All of the interior is in good condition, the seats have regular wear on them. The shift knob is the only wood that is worn, you can't really see the numbers anymore but I kept the stock nardi knob because it is nice. You could polish it if you wanted but that would ruin it for me. The softop is in good condition, never used it myself much because I either had the roof off and the softop down or the hardtop on. It's showing a little age with some darker spots in the leather where the leather touches the frame. Hardtop is in good condition as well. The main side weatherstripping for the soft and hard top are both very new, but the front stripping on the hard top where the roof of the Miata meets the hardtop looks like it has leftover silicone sealant or something similar that was used by the PO (I've left the residue out of fear of scratching the paint) The paint is in pretty good condition, there are a few scratches that have been covered with touchup paint and some areas where you can see swirl marks but for the age of the car it is overall pretty good. I've noticed that the paint of the bumper has started to fade at the very bottom compared to the rest of the car which you notice if you're laying down behind the car in direct sunlight working on it... The worst scratches on the car are two on the back bumper near the third brake light, and of course the front lip has a lot of dings and scrapes that you can't see unless you get down there. Overall I would put the paint at an 8/10 but I would recommend getting the car detailed so it's nice and shiny. The car has all oem parts except for a Roadstersport Midpipe California legal catalytic converter. Passed smog perfectly with the midpipe a few thousand miles ago. I took a look at the install job on the midpipe and I personally would get the midpipe reinstalled because they used gasket goo. A working condition (PO said it was in almost new condition and I never used it) stock Mazda midpipe/cat will also be included unless you don't want it. Spark plugs, oil, air filter all changed at least every 5,000 miles. Spark plug wires, coolant etc also changed frequently. Timing belt and water pump were replaced by mechanic only a few months before the car was put in the garage. Obviously they've been sitting though, so all wear and tear parts should probably be inspected / replaced. The tires probably have been deformed from sitting as well. The engine and radiator are both almost empty, but some fluid has been left inside just to be safe. Happy to work with you to ship this car, have you come pick it up, and happy to deal with Cashier's check, Bitcoin, Cash, really anything that works for you and isn't sketchy. Also happy to let you take the car to any mechanic but you'll need to transport the vehicle, and you're probably a mechanic/carnut already if you're interested. =============================== I have many more pictures, and to anyone interested I will send pictures of every single scratch and imperfection that I know of on the car as well as photos of the engine bay, and underneath the car which are both in VERY clean condition. The car is available for inspection in L.A. The top has a new (better than oem quality) rear window was stitched in. A new passenger window glass was installed. New lugs with locks were installed. A new 800CCA/105 min reserve battery was installed. The A/C system was recharged with R134a, and all fluid levels were topped off. New wipers and window washer components were installed. The steering wheel was swapped out for a Miata NB Nardi air bag steering wheel. The wheel has some wear on the rim, so I will include a temporary wheel cover. The air bag harness is not connected, but is a simple two wire connection. The car has a clean title, a copy of the title search inspection (Carfax) and the most recent smog check will included with your purchase. The car is currently registered through May 2015. I purchased this 94' Miata in May 07' with just 84,381. It is a clean titled car that has been well cared for, and always garaged. The odometer now reads 97,XXX as it is rarely driven. This averages out to 4,874 miles per the cars 20 year age (not bad at all). The car was re-sprayed last year in the original color.
