Offered for sale by owner is a stunning 2005 Lotus Elise Silver/Red w/Touring Package with both a color matched hard top and the standard black soft top. Clear title in hand. Completely stock minus an Alpine Bluetooth Stereo (original Blaupunkt included) and JL Audio front speakers. The matching rear speakers are included in the sale as well, but were never installed. I absolutely love this car and only selling to help fund my wedding. I've owned essentially since new (only about 2k miles when purchased from original owner). The car has never been tracked. It is an absolute blast to drive and is much more fun for a backroad weekend trip than my current Porsche C4S daily driver (had to get practical at some point). It has been extremely pampered... only seeing one short unexpected rain shower and always stored in a heated garage under the included (red) Sector 111 cover during winter months. Meticulously maintained and always clean and polished. Just had an oil change and new battery installed. Includes Sector 111 soft trunk organizer. For sale is my 2005 Lotus Elise. It is finished in Lotus Racing Green and has the Biscuit leather interior. It is a Touring Package car with a factory Hardtop. It has also had the BOE Clam Hinge and BOE Silent Touch exhaust installed. All systems work as designed, including the air conditioning, heater, power windows. The drivetrain is in excellent shape. All gears are smooth with no grinds on both upshift and downshift. The engine runs smoothly with great power and no indication of any irregular wear or tear (cam wipe or otherwise). The exhaust is very mild at mid throttle and sounds great at full throttle. It has had two owners. It was originally sold at Park Place Lotus in Bellevue, WA and resided in Kirkland until 14,000 miles in 2008. It was then in St. Louis from 2008 until 23,500 miles and was just brought to the Washington DC area earlier this month. All maintenance records are on file with the Bellevue and St. Louis dealers until 20k miles. Since 2010 all maintenance has been done at home (hence the BOE Clam Kit) with top grade parts and fluids. The BOE Kit was $700 plus labor for installation. The exhaust was another $700, but replaces the factory exhaust (which is no longer available and not included). Said maintenance includes replacing the original oil coolers and oil lines. All maintenance is up to date. The tires are Yokohama AD07s and the rears are brand new (under 100 miles), while the fronts are just over 50%. The body and paint are in excellent shape, with some paint chips on the hood that have been touched up. The paint is glossy and near perfect across the rest of the car, and there is no paint mismatch (see photos). Under the original owner's ownership, an accident was reported. I believe it was the front clam as there was no Star Shield on it when it was purchased in 2010. It became irrelevant as it clipped a deer in the last few years (I don't know the exact date) and the front clam has been replaced due to this. The damage was not severe (it was not a head on it), but insurance did replace the entire front clam, as that is the appropriate repair if it gets damaged. At this point, a custom clear bra was put on, but it only covers below the seam line on the clam, not the "hood" area. Other than the paint chips, the paint is in excellent shape. The clear bra was re-applied onto the entire car at that time. The front lip has almost no scraping, which is unusual, as most Elises have scrapes from driveways (see photos). The headlights are clear with no oxidation. It has always been garaged and kept under a cover when not in use. It is a blast to drive, and I hate to sell it but other life priorities cannot be ignored. Please email me with any questions. Pictures can be taken upon request. Production of these vehicles was to re-ignite the Lotus brand in the United States and save the dealership relationships for selling Lotus exotics. The company had nearly failed and a plan was conceived to revive the automaker with 50 "Investor-Gift vehicles" for investing in the company. As an investor, you needed a sizeable amount of cash and provable income. You would be taking a small stake in the company as well and promised healthy "double your income" returns along with your own custom Special Edition Turbo Esprit. These Esprit Turbos were ordered in various colors other than the base silver.The cars were numbered 00-49, but were not delivered in perfect numerical order. The cars #47, #48, and #49 were sold at retail to validate the price before distributing the other 47 to investors. These units retailed for around $65,000! These Esprit Turbos were ordered in various colors other than the base silver.The cars were numbered 00-49, but were not delivered in perfect numerical order.
