However, a year later, they went a step further with the Exige! And, by 2007, the Exige S came out with the factory supercharged system giving the car the 220hp that it deserved. Plus, the roof scoop is now fully functional feeding fresh air directly into the intercooler. The Exige S is everything a sport car should be! Weighing under 2,000lbs, this street legal go-kart/race car is the definition of “driving experience”. This much fun can’t be legal. When the tach reaches 6,000 RPM, the variable valves come to life and literally screams to 8,000 RPM. This Exige S was sold new by a California Lotus dealer on March 7th, 2007. The first owner lived in Los Angeles and sold it to the current owner in December of 2008 with about 8,000-miles on it. The current owner is an avid collector and enthusiast. It was ordered from the factory with the following options: Starshield Touring Package Track Package Lifestyle Paint The Lotus Stage II exhaust was installed by the dealer in 2010. The current owner kept this Exige S carefully stored and used it sparingly to keep it lubricated. It was never tracked or abused. This example is in very nice condition. The paint is all-original and has a great shine to it. If you aren’t familiar with Chili Red, it is a “Lifestyle” special order Lotus color that has orange metallic flake in the paint. In bright light, it has a sunset-like hue. It is similar to a darker orange. The original Starshield clear bra is in good shape with just a minor blemish by the Lotus emblem (see pic). The rear bumper has a few blemishes in the paint as well. They are hard to see unless you are a few inches away (see pics). The wheels are in great shape with no curb rash and are wearing near new rear Yokohama Advan tires. The fronts are original with about ½ life remaining. The rear brakes have about 1/3 life remaining and the fronts have more than ½ left. All the glass is original and the windscreen has no significant blemishes. The interior is equally as nice. The leather seats are in great condition with no rips or tears. The floor mats are brand new from the local Lotus dealer. The headliner on the roof has just been replaced (common issue with sagging) using factory ordered material. The dash and door panels are perfect. All the lights and gauges work properly. The A/C blows cold. The standard radio (Alpine) has been upgraded and includes a rear camera (a must for backing up an Exige). The center console has been trimmed in carbon fiber. This Exige S drives incredible. The throttle response is intoxicating. Everything feels tight with no rattles. The clutch engages perfectly and shifts smoothly. The brakes have excellent feedback with no fading. Turning is intuitive and flat. It has excellent road manners even on uneven surfaces. This is an excellent low-mile survivor example that has been lightly used. Original owner's manual is included. I purchased the vehicle in 2014 with approximately 31,000 miles and in a naturally aspirated state. I am in possession of all service records for the vehicle. I have been the owner of many sport and classic cars, and always maintain proper care and service for all of my vehicles. After having purchased the vehicle, I added the BOE Rev 300 Supercharger, along with an appropriate tune from BOE, producing approximately 240hp. The supercharger is a TVS unit, running on 5 pounds of boost. If desired, additional boost can be acquired by changing the supercharger pulley. Additional modifications to the vehicle include: 1.
