We are selling our 2010 Lincoln Navigator L with the Elite, Towing and Monochrome Appearance Packages. We bought this for my wife about a year ago because she wanted a comfortable vehicle to ride back and forth to her chemotherapy appointments for colon cancer. Most of the miles that we put on it were between our home and University Hospital in Cincinnati. She passed away in November and the whole family thinks of her when we see the car, so we are selling it. We looked for quite a while to find the option packages that we wanted. The Monochrome Appearance Package deletes most of the chrome from the outside of the car, which in our opinion, greatly improves the appearance of the vehicle. It also has the Elite and Heavy Duty Trailer Towing Packages. The second row has the very desirable captain's chairs and console. It has been garage kept since new and it was originally from Kansas, so the amount of time that it has spent in the salt really shows. It is clean enough that it elicited comments from the guys at the tire store when the new tires were being installed. I build race cars in my spare time, so my daily drivers get excellent care. As a result all trouble spots on these vehicles have been addressed. First, most of these that we see in our area have inoperative running boards. I have taken pictures of mine to show that they are working perfectly. This is likely due to the fact that we keep it clean and that it hasn't been exposed to as much salt as the vehicles in our area. The other trouble spot on these cars is a bulkhead wiring connection in the transmission. When we got it, it was leaking transmission fluid on the garage floor, which I traced to an o-ring on a wiring connector going into the transmission. I dropped the pan, replaced the bulkhead connector, replaced the transmission filter and replaced the fluid. The car honestly runs and drives essentially as new. The tires (Firestone Destination LE2) were replaced at 138,572 miles and it was aligned at the same time. These are 60K tires, so they are approximately 80%. This is truly a fly in and drive home car. With the stability control, we had no issues in the snow. If you are interested in running snow tires, I have a set of 18” Expedition wheels with TPMS that I will include for the Buy it Now price. I bought them thinking I would need to run snows, but I had no issues when driving it in the snow last winter. It also has a full set of Weather Tech floor liners installed. This was approximately $400. We put them in all of our cars to protect the carpets. I have the original mats, which will be included with the car. The Elite Package provides the Power Moonroof, Navigation and the rear seat entertainment systems. Everything works perfectly and the interior is in excellent, clean condition. The heated and air conditioned seats work perfectly and it even smells like fresh leather, like it did when it was new. The car has small blemishes on the body that are common on any vehicle that is seven years old, but it does show like a car with far fewer miles on it. I have both keys with built in remotes, all original manuals and the original window sticker (original MSRP was $62,860). If we didn’t have the emotional connection to the car, we would keep it. 2010 was the first year for Sync 2, which provides a USB player in the console, Bluetooth for phone and music streaming. It was also the first year for the upgraded audio system. It does also have a backup camera with the graphics to line up a trailer.The title is clear and in-hand, ready to transfer. The title and vehicle will be transferred only after certified funds are in my bank account or cash is in my hand. I will require a copy of any cashier’s check prior to vehicle delivery so that I can verify that it is genuine and the funds are available. I hate to have to say this, but I have sold many cars online and know every scam. The vehicle will be available for pickup after 12/28 due to the holidays.

Steve Mazor, the Auto Club of Southern California's chief automotive engineer, says that while some people freak out when they see the Check Engine light," Its important to note that Check engine lights are primarily emissions based lights. They are different from more important lights like "Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light" or "Engine Temperature Warning Light". Service Engine soon or "Check Engine" If the light comes on, Mazor says the driver should first see if the gas cap is loose: That's a common cause. A loose cap sends an error message to the car's computer, reporting a leak in the vapor recovery system, which is one aspect of a car's emissions system. If the gas cap is loose, tighten it and continue driving. Even so, it will take some time for the light to go off, he says. Other times the Check Engine light will come on if you fuel the vehicle while running the car. Many people do this in the heat of the summer, or the cold of the winter. This is called a "VAPOR GLITCH. This will kick on the light since it will allow more oxygen in the system than what is normal. Thus the computer will think there is a vapor leak. Furthermore, if you top off the gas, you may inadvertantly cause to much gas in the gas tank baffle system, thus kicking on the vapor light. Mazor says that even an inexpensive code reader could be useful for car owners, even if they aren't mechanically inclined, because the majority of the time the lights come on, they are temporary glitches in the system due to the above mentioned reasons. A $20 scanner can be used to clear the code and is much cheaper than paying a shop $80 for nothing. Some people insist on paying a shop to read the signal codes. Please remember you will often get whats called "Mixed Signals" in the automotive repair industry. Because even after you have paid $80 to get the code from the mechanic, the code and its meaning are often open to interpretation. This is where many shops make lots of money charging customers to repair seniors or hoses that in nor way needed replaced. Many shops would rather make money on the labour and parts to ensure you will not have to come back, than to clear the code, even when they know in all likelihood it was a "vapor glitch". For example: If a vehicle sits on our lot, and is not driven daily for 2 months, certain carbons will build up in the exhaust. If you then come and buy that same vehicle and drive it back to your state at 70mph for 10 hours straight, you very well may kick on a check engine light since the seniors will be getting signals of too much carbon build up. THEREFORE IT IS VERY COMMON that a Check Engine light comes on when nothing is wrong with the car, Mazor says. "It could be a temporary problem caused by a change in humidity or other factors. In such cases, the light should go off by itself after a short time." Even if there is a legitimate problem, 95% of the time it is only a O2 sensor (part of the emissions system, monitoring and helping adjust the air-fuel mixture) Loose gas cap, Mass air flow sensor (monitoring the amount of air mixed in the fuel injection system). In a worse case scenario IF the check engine light starts to flash on and off constantly you will want to immediately take it to a shop. In all likelihood it will only need a Catalytic converter or new Spark plug wires. At the time or our inspection ALL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ISSUES WILL BE FIXED (unless noted in the video) . However, we CANNOT warranty check engine lights. We do a once a week re-inspection of each vehicle on our lot. Often during those re-inspections we find new check engine lights that have come on. 99% of the time it is a VAPOR GLITCH. We have often seen vehicles that have never had a vapor glitch sit on our lot for 2 or 3 months, only to have the vapor glitch come during the buyers test drive or soon after. Since we do not have a crystal ball, we cannot guarantee this will not happen. If we are doing a delivery, and during the course of the delivery the light comes on, you cannot reject the vehicle. This is illegal and we don't do it. #2 There are a lot of scams on Ebay where people win an auction and then send in a deposit, never to hear anything ever again.
