I am selling my Lincoln Mark V Diamond Jubilee Edition. I have owned it since Oct 7th 2012. I bought it in California where it spent its entire life until I brought it to Colorado. I bought it with 78,000 miles and now it has 87,000 miles.(I have receipts for the car dating back to the 90's supporting the miles are correct, the title says miles exempt) The miles are low for the year, but not so low one would be worried about putting miles on a mega low survivor car. I drove it from California to Colorado(which was 1265 mile trip) without one single issue. The car has never been driven in snow, I only take it to Lincoln meets and car shows in nice weather, the car is stored in a heated warehouse. I had it painted shortly after I bought it in the original Diamond Blue Moon dust metallic paint color. I also had pinstripes added to match how it would come from the factory, except it is vinyl pinstripes vs. hand painted pinstripes. The Paint is beautiful and almost completely chip or scratch free. The interior is nice with minimal fading on the seats nice a bright, the back seat was preserved with back window tint, I didn't like the window tint and I recently removed it myself and unfortunately it still has a sticky residue from the tint on the back window. The wood trim is very nice and the center arm console is near perfect . It has its original floor mats which are still very nice. The moon roof opens and closes just fine, the power seats work, the power door locks work and the power windows work, the miles to empty gauge works. The original radio is in the car and works, it is just disconnected from the antenna because I had a hidden modern stereo installed which sounds much better than a poor quality radio from the 70's. The car has the 400ci motor(one could not order the 460 in California in 1978) The 1978 400ci has 179hp vs. the 1979's 159hp. It has plenty of power and I have raced two 460 cars in our Lincoln club and one on the YouTube "diamond in the ruff video" and I out accelerated all 3 of them with my 400ci. The motor is smooth and powerful and the transmission shifts nice and smooth. My car has the moonroof and the cb radio and the umbrella. I have a like new leather toolkit and leather owners manual cover that may come with the car depending on the selling price. I have added NOS front parking/turn signal lights, not a scratch or chip in them, these were expensive. Also the chrome trim piece that goes along the front bumper filler piece is also NOS and nearly impossible to find, also very expensive. Here is what I have had done to the car since I have owned it: * New white wall tires with less than 5000 miles on them * New Paint and Pinstripes * Brake system bleed/flush *Power steering flush * New U-joint * New Idler Arm * New outer tie rod * New motorcraft spark plugs * New fuel filter * New Accell ignition wires * New MSD Distributor cap * New starter * New starter solenoid * New battery cables * New valve cover gasket * Wheel bearings re-packed * New Alignment(goes straight down the highway) The car has been so fun to own and drive, I have bought another Lincoln and now have too many cars and I need to downsize, that's why I'm selling it. Feel free to come and look at this beautiful Diamond Jubilee in person. The shipping cost/payment is up to the buyer. I can assist in meeting a shipping company and making sure the car gets sent off to the new owner. As far as payment, I can accept cash, a certified cashiers check(that my bank can verify) or wire transfer. No PayPal. No trades and no payments. If you have any questions you can call or text me at 720 323 3916 my name is Craig.

***** PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE OVER 100 HIGH RESOLUTION PICTURES ***** ***** PLEASE CALL JOE AT 216-990-8207 TO NEGOTIATE BUY-IT-NOW PRICE AND END AUCTION EARLY ***** Prior to Tom Selleck’s role as America’s favorite private eye in the hit 1980s television series Magnum P.I., he had lesser known role—model for Ford Motor Company’s promotional materials for its stunning 1979 Lincoln Mark V Collector’s Series. 1979 marked the end of an era for the Lincoln-Mercury Division, as it was the last year its Mark V would be produced, thereafter replaced with the downsized Mark VI in 1980. The aptly named Collector’s Series commemorated this automotive milestone with a “unique limited edition Mark V [that] embodies exterior design features and interior sumptuousness surpassed by no other Continental Mark, past or present.” The Collector’s Series included virtually every option as standard equipment and sold for an $8,000 premium over a typical Mark V, raising its price to a whopping $21,000. It also combined unique exterior and interior styling and comfort features that were not available on any other Mark V, such as a gold grille, hood ornament and pinstripes, Valino half vinyl roof with coach lamps, color-keyed cast aluminum turbine wheels, chrome-edged vents, sumptuous Kasman II luxury cloth interior trim, and a genuine leather dashboard with glistening ebony woodtone appliqué and brushed chrome finish. Also included as standard equipment, and unavailable on any other 1979 Mark V, were a leather-bound toolkit and owner’s manual. It truly was the end of an era. This gorgeous Mark V Collector’s Series is a stunning example that you will be pleased to add to your collection. With just 36,000 original miles, this car still sports its original Michelin tires! Its Midnight Blue Metallic finish has a brilliant luster and is accentuated by a flawless Valino half vinyl roof. In addition, the chrome and bright work is in very good condition. The interior also shows beautifully, and is virtually free of wear. Its leather interior is glove-soft, and the leather dashboard is free of any cracks or wear. Similarly, its Kasman II covered and ebony woodtone capped door panels, headliner, and carpeting are in excellent condition. Best of all, this classic runs and drives as beautifully as it looks. In addition to low mileage, there are several other features that make this Collector’s Series unique among all others. One such item is its leather interior. Whereas most Collector’s Series Mark Vs featured a full Kasman II cloth interior, this one features a full leather interior, and was one of only 862 out of 6,262 Collectors Series produced with these paint and trim codes, according to the MartiAutoWorks Deluxe Report, which will be included with sale. In addition, this car is equipped with an optional CB radio—a $321 option—one of very few options not included as standard equipment. Additionally, the car was ordered with an AM/FM stereo with cassette tape (not an 8-track!). 1979 was the first year Lincoln offered a cassette tape player. Lastly, the buyer elected to order a full size spare tire in lieu of the standard inflatable spare tire. What also makes this car unique is that the following items—many of which have been separated from their cars through the years—are also included: Leather-bound toolkit Leather-bound Owner’s Manual and 1979 Limited Warranty Booklet Original Ownercard Warranty Identification Card Window sticker copy Original initialed Ford Motor Company Gate Release & Accounting Form Copy Built sheet MartiAutoWorks Deluxe Report Copy Lincoln digital garage door opener with all accessories (still in original box) Set of Lincoln keys One item of note is that the cassette player does not currently work, but this does not affect the operation of the stereo or CB radio. In addition, the air conditioning and cruise control are not currently working. All other power options, including power seats, lumbar support, windows, door locks, trunk release, antenna, “Autolamp System,” and Cartier clock function as they should. In addition, the car’s finish has some minor imperfections that do not detract from the overall appearance of the car. This car was built on November 17, 1978—three days ahead of the production schedule—and was shipped to Spitzer Motors of Elyria. It was subsequently purchased by Hedwig B. Varouh and placed in service on November 26, 1978, in whose possession it remained for the next 26 years. Subsequent to 2005, it was owned by collectors who enjoyed it for pleasure drives and cruise-ins, always ensuring that it was properly maintained and stored indoors. If an extremely rare car—even among Collector’s Series Mark Vs—is what you desire, this classic is for you. Beautiful car in superb condition, inside, outside, and underneath. Less than 19,000 miles, two owners, and with a fresh high quality repaint in the correct original color. Most miles were accumulated from 1977 to 1979, after which the car was stored. It was sold as part of the original owner's estate sale in 2009 when I acquired it. The paint was heavily oxidized, though absolutely zero rust damage occurred anywhere, and a thorough driver restoration has been in progress since 2012. It is now finished, beautiful, reliable, and ready to drive anywhere, any time. The body was disassembled, all glass out, all trim removed, and completely stripped to metal in preparation for a quality repaint in its original Dark Cordovan Metallic color. Bright work has all been polished, several parts replaced with NOS or NOS-quality. Undercarriage was cleaned, sanded, and brush painted with POR-15; not concourse correct (that would mean a lot of bare steel) but all will be black, clean, shiny, and serviceable for a very long time, instead. Floors are all perfect and were left original, untouched. All looks great together. The interior was completely removed and the carpet cleaned, high density floor padding/insulation was added. Power window and seat mechanisms were thoroughly cleaned and re-lubricated. Engine accessories all removed and refurbished, partially repainted (drive train was not removed, no need). New true dual exhaust with H-pipe, battery and alternator, tires, belts. . .more. Hoses with stapled wire clamps and numbered ignition wires are original and very nice. Work remaining includes the radio; FM gets static only, AM works fine. I will provide a working AM/FM Quadrasonic 8-track unit, which is a correct factory upgrade. The passenger side mirror is difficult to adjust, working on that. That's it - everything else is in great working condition including the Cartier clock, all windows (with optional power vents), all 6-way adjustments on both seats, power locks, all gauges, etc. Air conditioning blows ice cold with the completely original R-12 system, no modifications done since new. Recently completed a 600 mile round trip over a weekend, with zero issues. Body, paint, chrome, trim, mechanicals, accessories -- all superb. Runs, drives, stops, turns, perfectly. The only interior flaws are few signs of age/wear in the leather, but overall is also excellent. Hello. I am selling this mint, pristine 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V with ONLY 4694 original miles for a friend of mine. The Mark has lived its entire life inside a heated garage. It runs and drives just like it did the day it rolled of the assembly line. The Mark has the 6.6L v8 engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission. This Mark has all the power options such as power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise and ice cold air! The car is immaculately clean and complete. The only flaw with the car is there is a slight indent on the drivers side body side moulding. (see pic) It even has the original window sticker. Please email me with any questions you may have and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanx for looking!
