Here we have a 1970 Lincoln Mark III Project car. I purchased this car in 2011 from the second owner who needed some help and was supposed to buy it back. That never happened, so here is the car. The car's body work was completed in 2011 with panels patched, doors, trunk and hood aligned and freshly painted the correct color. A new vinyl top was then installed and new exhaust. The second owner ran out of funds to finish and had other issues. Since my acquisition, I have added 4 new whitewall tires, a new Holley carb, had the wheels sand blasted and powder coated the correct color of black, purchased new carpet and other trim parts that will go with the car. The car has been stored indoors for almost four years. The car needs to be finished, with the following needs:Interior: is dirty and will need to be finished cleaning and install new carpet. (The new carpet is not a shag, but the original carpet is in the car and could be steam cleaned and reused if the purchaser wanted.) Most interior trim pieces are included, though some may be missing from the paint and body work that was done, as the interior was removed and the floor repainted body color. A new headliner will need to be acquired. The dash is dirty, and will need to be cleaned, but there are no rips that I can see in the dash top.Engine Compartment: The engine is all there and I drove the car yesterday. The engine is good and strong. The transmission shifts well, but leaks some fluid when parked, so I am guessing seals will be needed. The brakes and power steering units all work as they should. The air conditioning has not been tested, but the unit is there and complete. The exhaust is relatively new and has a nice, throaty sound when running the car. The radiator is in good shape with adequate cooling and no leaks. Wipers are no installed, so no test could be completed.Undercarriage: When the previous owner did the body, he neglected to detail the suspension or under frame, so there is surface rust that will need to be addressed. The gas tank holds gas, but the gauge in the car is off, so the sending unit float will probably need to be replaced. The bumpers are in good condition with minor surface rust on the mounts and some light scuffs that could be polished out on the chrome. The lights seem to work okay. The car is located in Northern Virginia. Please contact me with any questions you might have. Thanks for looking.
