In 1983 Leonard bought the Lincoln at Downeys Subaru in Centralia. Downeys was also a Texaco gas station. We have the bill of sale and mileage statement. Anyway the Lincoln had 51,920 miles at the time. So you can see it was not driven much. Leonard died and Patrick inherited the Lincoln and before he drove it to Seattle he had new tires and a battery installed. We had it serviced and safety checked so its ready to go. We also just had new mufflers installed. Its clean and runs and drives very well. Air does not blow cold. The head light vacuum system does not hold vacuum very long and the head lights will open. There are several small rock chips around the headlamps, and on the sides. But nothing bigger than the head of a pin. Even the painted pinstripes look brand new. The leather interior is perfect! No wear or damage at all. The back seat looks like it had never been sat in. This survivor retains all of its service history from day one, dealer brochures, demo cassette tape plus much more! Fortunate for someone, I have a new job which provides a car I enjoy driving so no longer have a need nor am in dire straits to sell this pleasurable ride. I bought this car in January of 2012 at Lynwood's Harris Ford after the original owner out of NY. Blacked out interior, windows, and after market rims. Custom fit brand-name 12 in. box with Alpine amp and toggle knob--told the guys at Car Toys to put in best of best and they did a great job in order to keep trunk space. Still have certified warranty which lasts until 2016. AWD handles nicely in snow and heated/cool seats are a nice touch. Fully equipped bluetooth (BT), multi-disc CD changer, leather still prime. All electronics are spot-on. Only negatives are typical wear, cracked windshield, and rims have been curbed.
