I purchased this car two years ago, after a year of searching, and have put about 12.5k miles on it. As I’m sure you know a 98, low mile, black on black LSC is not the easiest to find. Although the air suspension worked fine the first thing I did was install the coil over 1 ½” lowered suspension. While that was installed I figured might as well do the following; · Upper control arm assembly, Left and Right 161.99 · Lower control arm assembly, Left and Right 139.99 · Inner tie rods, Left and Right 55.99 · Outer tie rods, Left and Right 61.99 · Poly outer tie rod boots, Left and Right 10.99 · Bushing set for the rear of the front suspension strut rod, Left and Right 70.99 · Poly bushings for the front of the front suspension strut rod 90.99 · Addco 1 3/8” front and rear sway bars with all proper end links and bushings 553.97 -The motor had to be unbolted and lifted for installation of the front sway bar, a big cost to me · Front suspension support brace 149.99 · SCP lower engine control brace 149.99 · Rear outer spindle bushing kit 179.99 · Pair of UHMW lower control arm bushings 199.98 · Rear inner upper suspension bushings 81.98 · Toe compensator for the rear suspension 133.98 · Differential bushing set 50.99 · SCP “Beefy” poly rear diff. mount 299.99 · American air 1.5” lowered coil over shock suspension at all four corners 499.99 · Transmission cross member bushings 35.99 · Sensa-Trac rear shocks 89.99 · Poly rear shock mount kit 52.99 · Under drive pulley set with new belt 259.99 All receipts included. Then there was approx $3000 in labor for installation. Needles to say this car drives amazing. When you replace this many parts there will be a few bugs to work out. Well, they are worked, done, and the car is dialed in. All parts were installed about 4k miles ago by DJ McCabes custom shop in Crystal River Florida and purchased from supercoupeperformance.com Anyone looking at this car knows that rims can be challenging given the bolt pattern and offset. I searched and searched for black chrome Saleen Speedstars and simply could not find them. I was just about to give up and buy chrome when I found these. The black chrome really looks great on this car. I have the center caps also. I went with Continental Extreme Contact DW Tuned 245 45 ZR 18 340 AA A The tires and rims have approx 2k miles on them. The paint and body are in excellent shape. There is a spot where the driver’s door and rear quarter panel meet where some paintless dent removal looks to have been done. You have to really be looking for it, or have it pointed out to really notice it. There are 3 VERY minor dings. Again, you have to be looking very closely to see them. For a car that’s 17 years old the overall paint and body is astounding. The rear glass window seal is bubbled as with most VIII’s this year. A repair kit is readily available, I just haven’t got there. The interior is damn near perfect. It has a great stereo Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS with everything else being stock. Cruise, Air, seats, it all works fine. The ABS on the drivers side needs two sensors. I have them and they will be included. Both headlights will have to be replaced. They function fine, but are both clouded with moisture in the passenger side. This was next on my radar. You can find nice ones on eBay for $200-250 each. The motor is stock with the exception of an aluminum under drive pulley kit, and a K&N air filter, +15hp maybe. No leaks, or noises, anywhere, of any kind or amount. The brand new belt squeeks sometimes. Figures, the old one was silent. The car has 78986 miles on it. I bought it from the original owner with 66500 on it. He spent 9 months a year in Italy, and three months a year in Naples Florida. He drove this, barely, three months a year for an average of 4433 miles a year. I have about 12.5k miles in it in two years. I had full intention of installing a supercharger on this. The only reason I am selling this is I am out of space. If you are looking for a Mark VIII to just enjoy, or take to the next level, it does not get any better than this. All weak suspension points, and there a lot of them, have been completely replaced. A black on black, ’98 LSC, truly the last hot rod Lincoln made. I am asking $8000 for this. For what it is, and what has been recently done, this is a very fair price.
