The GOOD....! Aggressively kept this beautiful lady in tip top shape just to be safe. when I bought it from a Toyota dealer we were about to sign for a $21K Camry and my daughter noticed it being put on the lot for sale. 'I want THAT! so we looked and I said it looked new but had high miles. So I called a friend on my cell and asked about these miles. He is a radio show call in auto repair expert and I trust his judgment. He told me if cared for this Ford motor would go another 50.000 to 150.000 as long as it was protected from overheating, towing, and kept well lubricated and driven with care. I asked to take it over to Salem Boys for the $200 used car post sale inspection and He had it for a day, and it was in very good shape except for needing a complete front drive shaft assembly ($550) and a complete transmission service as well as drain and refill both transfer cases with high grade synthetics. Bought the car and ran over to bail it out from its first physical ($1099). I could have never touched it and been just fine, but I am a perfectionist and have to know. Its been a lovely car, the only other things I took care of were rear struts, front upper control arms, ball joints, and someone I know drove over tire spikes and so I had to replace front tires. Before we decided to sell this car (she wanted a smaller car with the entire wi-fi Bluetooth, built in technology package) we sent it in for a major tune up and synthetic oil change, including the Fuel Filter and complete fuel system cleaning. That was $500. All receipts I have. It also has a new windshield! The Bad.... nothing at ALL is bad in this car. here are areas of interest that would only be pointed out if the car was a $30.000 $40.000 vehicle. 1. The Park Assist wont come on because one sensor is inoperable, Daughter used a big color wireless unit from Amazon, she put it in her new car. $99 2. Pep boys enclosed an exhaustive vehicle condition report, everything suspension wise is strong. nothing at all needs replacement or repair. The brakes are good but have a slight pulsation when slowing down at freeway speeds. $80 to resurface all four disks. Car has keyless keypad entry but I don't know the combination. Dealer will dive it free but you have to show up and prove ownership. one of the new front tires had a tread separation as soon as the warranty ran out, so since the spare was a new Michelin we replaced the defective Rt front tire with the spare. Front tires are thick with tread but do not match. rears are perfect.
