I bought this car from cavender Cadillac in San Antonio,tx, it was a trade in and belonged to the original owner of this Lexus. All of the maintenance since new was done at the Lexus dealer and is available online at Lexus.com. It rides,drives and run like a new one. It had 25,000 miles on it when I bought it. It now has 28,830 miles on it, the tires are Michelin and have about 3400 miles on them.... It needs nothing, it has new mobile 1 in it and all filters changed. 4.3 liter v8 gets very good mileage, up to 28 on hwy. very quiet and smooth. No accidents, no paint or glass damage... Clean car fax... The reason I'm selling it is because I took out a big loan on it and now my job is laying off people and reducing work hours... I wish to be free from this loan.. I bought this vehicle in 2010, was beautiful. I moved to the country, now has some mileage on it.. I understood that I was the 3rd owner at the time of purchase, but looked like others may have owned it,,,, nonetheless, it was in beautiful condition,, no problems. I have done little so far re: maintenance, other than a battery and changing tires, wipers,,, if I remember something more, will be happy to disclose, I try to keep all receipts in the glove box. It is now worn down in need of some tlc / rehab. Needs painting, replace or fix the front driver leather seat due to tearing, power steering issues and a bad oil leak, source of that not yet identified. This is a GREAT car for a mechanic or a fan of the Lexus brands,, I am looking for a fair and quick sale,, so selling for $ 1200,,, I am good with $ 1000,,, just need to cover any fees of EBAY. Shipping is optional, up for discussion,, depending on how far you are, I may be willing to drive, but must be on a weekend, as our busy work season is going on thru December. As we own a UPS store, I have a few folks that can drive and deliver the car for further distances,, and will get you a quote from them. For sale is a 1998 Lexus LS400. This car is much faster than it looks, it has 220 hp and goes from 0-60 in 6 seconds. The engine is strong but the car does need a bit of work. The water pump and the rack and pinion still need to be replaced. It is running hot due to the water pump issue but it's not overheating. The car was being driven regularly, I just didn't have anywhere to park it other than on the grass. There is a touch screen with a sat nav but the Sat Nav was last updated in 1998. Power leather seats, all but the driver's seat are in good condition 6-cd player Tape desk, I'll throw in the cassette tape adapter There is some minor cosmetic damage at the bumper and scratches on the trunk (see pictures) AC works great! Here is a video of it starting up I am the second owner of the car and here's what has been recently replaced on the car: Headlights Starter Thermostat Tires (they have less than 2000 miles on them) Air Ride suspension converted to standard suspension (if you know anything about air-ride suspension then you know they're incredibly expensive to maintain after the car is 10 years old) The suspension I put in should last a long time and it rides almost as smooth as the air suspension did. I'll leave the old air struts in the trunk, two of them still work and they could be put back in (you shouldn't do this though) or sold. Local pickup only, I will not ship the car.
