"Stunning", All Original a True Classic with everything right. This is the right Car and has all the right things that will make increase in value. It is a Two Owner, is in Fatastic Condition, Good Mileage, and has been very well preserved. The Kalahari Edition came in only two colors White and Yellow the Yellow is the most sought after and is only produced in Yellow every 5 years not to mention they produce white in the normal line of Discovery's. When Land Rover produces a Special Edition they are produced at a completely different Land Rover Facility and this Disco has the badge under the hood that shows that. The first vehicle in the Kalahari series will be a 2002 Discovery Series II Kalahari, the descendant of a true competition vehicle -- the Discovery Series II TReK -- which was built for use in Land Rover TReK '00, an off-road driving challenge for Land Rover retailers that took place last November. The production-ready Discovery Kalahari features a dramatic Borrego Yellow paint scheme and an array of specialized off-road equipment including a Saudi/Gulf states front bumper and grille; black seating surfaces with Tetra technical fabric center panels; a black steel wraparound brush bar and lamp guards; a black steel rear ladder; and a matching roof rack finished in black steel and equipped with a steel mesh floor. Discovery Kalahari comes with a 188-horsepower, 4.0-litre aluminum V8 engine, a four-speed automatic transmission, permanent four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case, Hill Descent Control (HDC), four-wheel electronic traction control (4ETC) and a four-channel, all-terrain Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Land Rover's Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE) and Self- Leveling Suspension (SLS) systems are optional. A special-appearance package and a badge stamped with the vehicle's limited-production build number complete the Kalahari specification. Only 150 Discovery Series II Kalahari vehicles will be produced for the 2002 model year. They will go on sale in the U.S. in Oct. 2001 with an estimated base MSRP of approximately $40,000. This car was purchased directly from the family of the Second Owner who would have never parted with it, but was moving to China for his company. This is one of the most Iconic Off-Road Vehicle of our time, and the are Kalahari Edition is starting to reach collector status and will continue to go up in value. It comes with all the Booklets and Original Window Sticker in the Glovebox along with a clean Autocheck (No Accidents). It has always been very well maintained and cared for, and has always been pampered and never abuse, and it had to have been garaged it's entire life. These Disco's are beginning to have have collector status but still can be a Fun and Inexpensive Weekend Toy. The Exterior: is in very very nice condition. The Beautiful Borrego Yellow Paint, has great shine and depth with very very minor scratches or rock chips or very small door dings, visible only under very close inspection (Really none).The car has never been in an accident. I believe this to be all original paint. The body is in fantastic condition with absolutely no rust. This Disco also comes with the Factory "Typhoon" Alloy Wheels with near new (7000 Miles) matching BF Goodrich tires, that are 90%. Just an example of how this car was treated like something very special. The Interior: is also in very nice condition with really very very little wear. It is in Great Condition and is completely stock, with the exception of the Factory Radio which we stilll have and will go with the vehicle. The radio was upgraded so it would have bluetooth for hands free phone useage. The carpet and Seats show very little wear. The entire interior is in fabulous condition. The pictures do not do this Discovery, justice, it is better in person. This Disco runs and drives Very Well. It has good power and drives tight. The Transmission shifts smooth, this makes it a real pleasure to drive. The A/C works great as does everything on the car. This Disco is ready to go There may be cheaper ones out there but they are not like this. This is a beautiful truck that has been pampered its entire life. This is the quality that goes up first and the most in value.
