1997 Discovery 1 that has many upgrades done within the last couple months. Engine and transmission seem to be running great. Transmission was just serviced. I just upgraded all suspension bushings with SuperPro polyurethane bushings, along with Fox Shocks 2.0 +2". It also has a 2" lift kit, brand new adjustable pan-hard bar, 275-70-16 BF Goodwrench All-Terrains with plenty of tread left on them, a brand new set of lug nuts, and just had it aligned and balanced last month. A/C is working great, and it has a new ignition switch. Includes extra set of OEM aluminum factory wheels with used tires and spare wheel! What needs to be improved/fixed: I'm currently working on the brakes (just installed new master cylinder last weekend, a new booster check valve has been ordered, and just installed a new brake caliper), needs new wheel ball joint ($50), I have a new dash console but haven't installed it yet, paint is faded but no rust on body (it's aluminum), front seat bottoms need to be repaired, needs wheel spacers to keep from rubbing when turning sharp, brush guard needs repainting, windshield has crack, needs new rear-view mirror, needs drivers door lock actuator, and drivers window occasionally "pops" (I think there's a kink in the window motor chain). This is an awesome vehicle that I really want to hold onto, but need truck for growing landscape business. This vehicle is SOLD AS IS. THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES.

So I've got too many car projects as it is, and I'm not off-roading anywhere near as much as I'd like, so I'm looking to offload the Land Rover to fund other projects. I'm not in a hurry to sell and I'd rather this thing go to someone that will appreciate AND use it. It's a 1996 Discovery SE with the 4.0L v8. The body is mint, never been hit or even tapped. The paint is in really excellent shape, just a few very light scratches in the clear coat from tree branches. The seats are all leather, the air conditioning blows like an Arctic wind, and the ride is smooth and supple. The suspension has been replaced with a complete Terra Firma suspension upgrade (springs, shocks, steering stabilizer), giving the vehicle about 1 1/2" lift to accommodate the slightly larger tires (BF Goodrich All-Terrains, with 75% tread easily left). I've also added a BajaRack roof rack specifically designed for the Discovery ($1100). Attached to this are a Hi-Lift jack, the spare tire (with Baja-Rack mounting hardware), and a mounting frame for two 20L jerry cans for fuel (also BajaRack mounting hardware). I'm including the two jerry-cans of course (~$50/each originally). The MaxTrax (big orange sand-bridge things) are not included. Those I'm holding onto, but you can have the rack mounting hardware for them (believe me, you WANT a pair of these). About 3 months ago, I replaced all the brake rotors and all the brake pads. I also had the wheel bearings all replaced and lubed. There is NO noticeable vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds. I've also recharged the A/C and the battery on it is <2 years old (880 CCA badass battery). The engine cranks first cycle every time, I've always changed the oil at exactly 3k miles, and it runs smooth as the day it left the lot. There's a reason why Land Rovers are used the world over for expedition vehicles. Oh and parts arn't really any more expensive than any other vehicle I've owned. Seriously, that's almost entirely a myth. The exhaust has been replaced from the headers back, with a slightly wider pipe and smaller muffler, so it purrs, but still is quiet and refined. The original exhaust was crappy and rusty and restrictive. I gained 3-3.5 mpg with the new one. So most of the few things that don't work are VERY minor: the rear window wiper, the front headlight sprayers, the rear speakers on the tailgate, and the radio antenna mount dropped into the fender slightly, so its loose. All completely minor crap. The only thing you will want to get looked at is the rear tailgate latch is stuck. It locks and unlocks, but won't open. This is a really recent development and probably is only the bolt needing greased. Oh and the anti-lock brakes on the Discoveries were NOT reliable, so I have pulled the fuse for the system. You can re-fuse it if you want but I wouldn't recommend it. What you will be pleased to know is that the 4WD engages perfectly, the diffs both lock properly, the low range gearbox is in perfect working order, and this thing can go anywhere. Oh and you'll be in A/C and lambskin seat cover comfort for the ride. I love this thing to death but I'm not using it, and I'd rather pour some money into my new diesel project. I've got a clean Alabama title, ready to sign over to the right person. Come take it off my hands (and promise me you'll take it to awesome places).

I have a good running Land Rover Discovery 2 that I need to move out. This truck is the SE7 package so it has all the options and i will try and cover all the good and bad with the truck. There are a few known issues it has and I will do my best to describe it fully. I am asking 4000 OBO, it has a lot of new parts, but I also realize it still needs some work. New Parts:*Transmission*front drive shaft (Tom Woods)*Thermostat*ACE Pump*Power Steering Pump*Alternator*Battery*Belt*Tires (are in good shape, have about 5000 miles on them)*Rear drive shaft couplerCons:*has oil leak at oil pan (every land rover/range rover leaks oil. If it doesn't, it is out)*has vibration coming from front about 70mph. Have researched it and that is why it has a new drive shaft. I am thinking it maybe a wheel bearing or some where in the steering link*will probably need an oil pump in the next year or so.*minimal damage to front bumper and grill. Never been in an accident but when i had the truck loaded onto the tow truck to bring to my house when i bought it, the moron pulled it up to far and it hit the winch on the truck. This is a good rig if someone wants to put the time into it. I bought it to flip for my wife, but life has gotten in the way and we just don't have time to finish it. It has a great strong drive train for someone that wants to drive it every day or turn it into a great off road truck
