Ok, every add for a Defender here on Ebay tells you how unique that car his. How difficult it is to bring it in the country and the one from that add is the best one you can find. ………I let you read this add and make up your own mind. This truck was used by fire department in Swiss until it was taking out of service in 2009. It was acquired by a classic car collector who almost never drove it since. I bought it from him earlier this year and brought it over to the US. Car has only done 10,000 miles from new, most of the miles documented. This car is not restored, is not repaired, is not welded, not repainted, just all original. The good: NO RUST, nowhere !!! not on frame, not on doorframe not on bulkhead.Only done 10,000 miles from newAlmost new Michelin tires with almost new alloys.NEW front seats from a 2015 Defender, leather.Beach runner soft top AND original hard top.New high backrest seats in the back. The bad: Paint all original, some stone chips though as you can expect from a 31 year old car.No seat belts on second row. Kits are available for that.Some signs of fire truck equipment, like a post on one of the fenders, outlet on one of the back panels.A few tinny little dents, not worth repairing, see pictures but very difficult to catch on camera. Especially for the people who have driven Defenders before: you will admit this is how a new Defender drives. Closer to a new Defender in the USA is almost not possible or at least very, very rare. The V8 engine runs really smooth, shifting, brakes, driving everything as you can expect from an almost new car. You find pictures of this car with a hard top, with a black soft top, aluminum wheels and different front seats.. The price is for the combination and includes : Soft top and hard topAluminum wheels with almost new BF Goodrich AT tires.Premium, new Defender Puma front seats. First: I don't have any reviews here on Ebay because I never sold or bought anything. Please call or visit me to see if you feel comfortable to do business with me ! This listing is for 1985, very nice ORIGINAL Left Hand Drive 110. This car spend most of its life in Italy and hardly has any rust. I imported this car in May. It passed customs without any problem. After having it here in Michigan I installed an original Land Rover Defender 200 Tdi engine. This installation is done with only genuine Land Rover parts, so no home made installation with parts you can get nowhere. Together with the engine a new clutch, clutch cover and a new battery were installed. This is a nice driving car, brakes are working as they should, suspension and steering are as good as you can expect from a Defender. Originally this car had a factory AC system. This is not complete anymore !! No condenser and no compressor. Somebody must be able to fix this but I can NOT. The good: - original paint, in very good condition - only light surface rust on frame, nothing major - four door frames all solid and no rust - no rust on foot wells or bulkhead - nice interior, no rips - odometer shows 140 K km's, appr 88 K miles. Nothing to proof this but given the condition of the car this is most likely accurate. - timing belt of the 200 Tdi is replaced only 4 K miles ago. The bad: - rear door, (5th) can use rust prevention. Does still look ok but some rust on frame. - light hail damage on roof and a little bit on the side of the car, hardly noticeable, Nothing on hood - AC not working and I can not fix it - tires 50-60%, good enough to drive for a while but nothing special - spot on rear cross member has been welded but will need some additional welding or treatment This car is located in Michigan, close to Grand Rapids airport. Serious buyers are more then welcome to check this out, they can also have a look at some other Defenders then. The car comes with all the import documents, EPA and DOT forms. The final price includes a clear MI title but title work takes a few weeks after the sale !!!!!.
