Rare ex-Australian Army Land Rover Defender 110, project code name "Perentie". I brought this over with me when I moved back and now its time to sell... Comparable to a Land Rover Defender 110 but with the following extras as ordered standard by the Oz army:- Isuzu 3.9L, 4-cyl diesel (an extremely capable and universal engine; easy to maintain) – the engine has ~220,000kms / ~135,000miles on it (several folks have mentioned the engine will last 1,000,000kms)- LT95A 4-speed transmission (upgraded over the LT85) - Full-time 4WD with a central diff locker- Salisbury / GKN rear axle- Long travel, coil spring suspension on front and rear axles. Fully floating rear axle- Hot galvanized frame- EXTREMELY RARE hardtop (only 35 created out of 3500 Perenties); good for keeping snow out and valuables in- FFR variant, including two dual battery holders in compartments behind the cab- Front bull bar and rear winch points- NATO Pintle hitch- Door locks and a keyed tumbler (many didn’t have keys)- Jerry can holders (includes 1x water can and 1x fuel can) and two rear tool pockets- A partial set of original bonnet "gardening" tools included, but not shown in the pictures (an axe and pick axe but no shovel)- The back is open – it would be great to convert to a camper / overnight vehicle, or suitable for hauling. Im sadly considering maybe having to let go of my Defender 110. I bought it from a diplomat who brought it back from overseas. I have clean title and all import documentation I will send with the vehicle. Documentation is very detailed no issues there. The vehicle was originally built on galvanized chassis that is still in great shape. It had a frame on restoration overseas 2 years ago. The vehicle has been driven and used since then but is overall in great shape. I drive it regularly as well and its a really solid truck. In fact these pictures the truck is pretty dirty because I have been driving it regularly to work. I work at a dealer and pulled in our high res booth to try and get some very clear pictures for the potential buyer. I can take and send any other pictures on request. The Truck:-1989 Left Hand Drive Defender 110- I got the paperwork from the British museum i'll send with truck its a real LHD 110. - Truck does have power steering and heat - Previous owner made a lot of nice additions that gives it a more modern look at feel- Added Puma hood, KBX grill, bumpers, winch, steps, roof rack with ladder, etc - During restoration all engine, tranny, suspension, mechanicals taken apart and rebuilt or replaced, truck runs and drives great, is turn key and very reliable, no issues, my Rover mechanic has had it recently for oil change and said it its great shape overall.- During restoration all doors were redone or replaced, truck was repainted, everything in that area is good, glass is good, seals are good, I did put on new seals and hinges on doors- Only thing left original during restore was interior owner wanted original feel, seats are in good shape and covered with Melvill and Moon covers.- The flags and lettering are just stickers previous owner put on I just left them but they easily peel off. The Good:- Galvanized chassis is in great shape, door and body very solid, floorboard solid, Puma hood is new and solid. - Truck runs great, cranks right up runs and drives smooth, suspension is smooth and quiet, no leaks anywhere- Headliner is good, seats are good, dash is good- Tires good, brakes are good.-Truck seems to be insulated well it heats easily and isn't too loud when driving. The Bad:- Its a used and driven truck not a show vehicle, has a few minor scuffs, dings, etc. It shows very well and is a nice truck just not absolutely perfect. Its an absolute head turner and I get stopped everywhere I go.- Footwell into doors have some wear where people have climbed in and out of the truck, carpet a little worn for same reason. - Bumpers, steps, etc have a few scuffs etc for same reason just use and people getting in and out VIN Is SALLDHMB8FA382051. - 2004 G4 Edition Discovery.- One of Two Hundred Built in 2004 which is the only year this edition was produced.- Cold Weather Package including Heated Seats and Heated Front Windscreen.- Dual Power Sunroofs- Dual Power Seating - Locking Differentials - Only 83k Miles. - The original carpet floor mats that have the Discovery embroidery are wrapped in plastic and are underneath the Land Rover All Weather mats in the front and rear. The cargo mat is also included.- The only hint of wear on the interior is the wearing of the driver's side bolster from getting in and out of the vehicle but it is not ripped or torn in anyway. The headliner right above the passenger front seat is starting to sag some which as many of you know this is a common problem.- Both of the sunroofs work exactly as they should and the sunroof shades all works as well and are not sagging and the clips to close them are not broken either.- All of the accessories such as the heated seats, lights, fog lights, power seats, windows, and ALL locks and door handles inside and out work exactly as they should. The a/c and heat work perfectly as well. - There is no wear on the steering wheel or any of the controls either. The doors panels are not faded either.- Factory Single Disc Player with aftermarket satellite radio wiring.( these are the two wires coming through the auxiliary button that is visible in the picture, one for power and the other the satellite antennae). - The factory G4 Decals are in excellent shape no signs of peeling or fading. The bumpers, "A" Frame Brushguard with Driving lights and covers are not faded from the sun as well as the fender flares which these were known for fading as well.- The lockable roof rail cross bars are already in place.- Factory Tow Package- Rear access ladder and rear lamp guards are also factory installed and part of the G4 Edition. The access ladder isn't peeling or rusty either.- This is a rust free vehicle in every since of the word. The door strikers and hinges show no signs of corrosion whatsoever and the undercarriage shows the same. - This Discovery has been Dealer serviced since new and ALWAYS garage kept.- This is an excellent example of one of the few remaining G4 Edition Discoveries left in existence. - I have the original owner's manuals and original window sticker as well.- There are very few small rock chips up front on the corners of the hood and very few on the painted bumper ends as well. They are very below average in both size and quantity for a vehicle of this age. - The tires are in great shape as well and will not to be changed unless your taste draws you towards a more aggressive style.
