The Dynamic version comes with some better trim features (such as shorts exhaust tips and silver rear skid plates in the trunk. (Check the photos to see the details listed in the original window sticker). Some neat features of this Evoque is six cameras, to give you a view on the front, back and each corner of the car to navigate through tight off-road spots. Another neat feature is the car locks with just a touch of your finger on any of the door locks, as long as the key fob is in your possession. The Dynamic version also has the full set of selectable terrain programs: Dynamic Mode - stiffens up the ride, and sharpens the handling making cornering great fun. Turn the transmission to Sport mode and use the paddle shifters, and you are getting close to driving a sports car. General Program - The General Program is for use on dry, solid surfaces such as paved highways. This program is the ‘default’ program. Grass/Gravel/Snow - This program is for use on loose or slippery surfaces, but not deep soft materials such as deep sand or deep snow. Land Rover recommends using the Sand program for deep snow. The most common terrain surface that correspond to this setting are just as the name suggests: wet grass and snow-covered roads. Mud/Ruts - The Mud/Ruts program is for deeper mud, ruts, and uneven surfaces. Sand - This program is for soft, deep surfaces. Wet sand (such as on a beach) may require the Mud/Ruts setting. The Sand program is also the preferred program for snow that is deep enough for the tires to “sink in” when attempting to gain traction. Why Buy This Car 1) I am a bit of perfectionist when it comes to my cars. I don't take them to car washes, even "no -touch" because someone even improperly towel drying a car can scratch it. I hand wash the car myself and keep it clean as possible and it sits in the garage at night, and most of the day at work. The car only sees the outside world when I am driving it. I don't even let my teenage son eat in my car (he can wait to eat his McDonalds till he gets home!). 2) I make every effort to deliver a used car as I want to receive myself. So, just last week the car was professionally detailed. In addition, just days later I had the two front wheels reconditioned to fix some very light curb rash on the wheels. (You will note that two of the tires look lighter in color. That's due to the tire black having been wiped off when they reconditioned the car.) These two efforts cost me over $500. On top of that, I had the 30,000 maintenance performed on the car, even though it's just at a little over 27,000 miles. That was a $750 expense. 3) This car comes with an extended warranty. For a fee of just $125, the extended warranty can be transferred to the new owner. It extends the warranty of the car to 84 months or 75,000 miles, which ever comes first. However, the car is under its LandRover warranty for the first five years. I have the back hatch and the fuel pump and sender fixed under the warranty, at no cost. I have been very impressed with LandRover service departments. 4) This car was coated with CilaJet. What's Cilajet? A pdf of the Cilajet brochure is included in the online documents, but in basic terms, it is considered "the best auto paint sealant on the market." From the Cilajet webpage: "It's unique exterior formula resists a variety of environmental contaminants that may adhere to the surface of your vehicle. Not only does our proprietary molecular bonding formula provide a lasting mirror-like shine, but it also repels contaminants such as dirt, grease, bird droppings, tree sap, acid rain, mineral deposits, and industrial fallout." Cilajet warranties its product so if there is any paint damage from the items listed above, they will repair the damage at no cost. Best yet, the warranty is transferable to the new owner at no cost, and five years after the first application (done in 2012) Cilajet will apply a new coating to the car for free. Effectively, it's a ten year sealant warranty done in two five year coatings. 5) If you want to have the car inspected by a third party specialist, I will pay $200 of that cost, contingent on you buying the car at the Buy it Now price. But just to clarify, if you have the car inspected, but don't buy it, I will not contribute $200. Also, if you inspect the car, and don't buy it for the Buy It Now price, I will not contribute $200. Click: Documents You can also view photos of the left front fender of the car, when it was swiped by a taxi (worst drivers ever.) There was no bent metal; just marring of the paint and a detachment of the plastic trim around the fender. You can see from the photos to the left that the paint is back to its excellent state.
