Excellent Land Rover Discovery II! Up for sale is a fantastic 2003 Land Rover Discovery SE! This particular Discovery is extremely clean and has been well loved and always well cared for! I have maintenance records dating back to day of purchase for this car. Extremely clean inside and out! Non-smoker, no pets, no kids, etc. I had the engine completely overhauled less than 2,000 miles ago; no expense was spared, see the extensive list of work done below. Clean title is in my name, free and clear; no liens. This Discovery SE is very well equipped with the cold weather package, including heated seats and heated windshield; optional remote CD changer, tow package, 12 speaker premium audio, etc. It comes with all the original books, the jack under the dash, the Land Rover tool kit, and the rear tire cover (accessories that are often missing). The engine was fully rebuild approximately 2,000 miles ago, the tires and brakes are in good shape, and everything works as it should. Along with the engine overhaul, I replaced or repaired every thing that was leaking, squeaking, or operating improperly. This 'Rover rides like a dream, and the super-fresh motor is smooth and powerful! Ready to drive across the country; this SUV needs nothing! List of work done in the last 2,000 miles: Engine - Top End:Removed and completely disassembled heads; heads were hot-tanked and cleaned to bright finishFull multi-angle valve jobNew valve guides, seats, seals Heads were decked; machined flat to within .002" and finished to within 16µin.Block was decked and finished to within 16µin. Inspected camshafts, bearings & guides, rockers, lifters, etc. and ensured everything was in tolerance per factory service manual specifications. Removed fuel injectors and fuel rail; cleaned and inspected everything; installed new o-rings on all injectors.Valve covers were disassembled (filler neck and baffles removed) and everything was hot-tanked and cleaned. Valve covers were bead blasted and painted with high-temp ceramic paint. New composite head gaskets; used copper gasket-maker on install. New head bolts; installed with PTFE and torqued to factory service manual specifications using calibrated instruments. New lower intake manifold (valley) gasket.New upper intake manifold gasket. New intake manifold gasket.New throttle body gasket.New throttle body heater plate and heater plate gasket. (heater plates are known trouble parts on higher mileage motors, replaced for peace of mind) New valve cover gaskets. New exhaust manifold gaskets.New exhaust header gaskets. All new o-rings, seals, and gaskets heater pipes, vacuum lines, etc. Engine - Bottom End: Removed oil pan; hot-tanked and cleaned. Removed timing cover; completely disassembled and all components hot-tanked and cleaned. New timing gears and timing chain. New gerotor oil-pump (all 3 gears replaced). note: gears were found to be in good condition and actually measured within spec, however they are a known problem area and require extensive disassembly of the motor to access, so I had them replaced while it was all apart for peace of mind. New timing cover gasket.New oil pan gasket. New oil pickup tube (pickup tube had a small dent in it and was replaced for peace of mind).Engine - Accessories:New water pump.New power steering pump.New high-pressure power steering lines.New low-temperature thermostat.New Goodyear Gatorback beltA/C system purged and charged. Engine - Ancillary: New battery. Full radiator/coolant system flush; replaced with fresh coolant. Fresh oil (Rotella T5 10W30) and oil filter. Oil pressure tested after rebuild: Cold: 55 psi @ idle & 60 psi @ 2,000 RPMHot: 34 psi @ idle & 56 psi @ 2,000 RPMMisc.:New door lock actuators; driver front, passenger front, passenger rear.New windshield wiper motor assembly.The entire under-cairrage was professionally undercoated. I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting, but you can see the list is extensive. Being an extremely well cared for vehicle, with all the work recently done this SUV it's ready for another 200,000 miles of adventure!
