Solid 1993 Land Rover Range Rover Classic County Edition. The first year of the revised Classic in Long Wheelbase ( LWB) configuration which was made for only 3 years through early 1995. Completely stock, and original LWB, except that the suspension was already converted to heavy-duty coil springs & struts, as opposed to EAS. It has lived in the West coast for most of its life. Therefore, there is absolutely NO structural rust nor corrosion on this vehicle, as it would be expected from a California vehicle ( hard-pressed condition to find in any Classic beyond the rocky mountains). There is a little corrosion on the taillight inner weld seams, fairly minor. This LWB comes equipped with all the comforts, standard features and amenities of its time, along with factory Tow package, nearly-new radial tires mounted on a nice, clean set of the optional 16" LWB alloy wheels. NEVER altered or lifted. It currently resides in Northern California. Stock 4.2L engine runs very well. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, the 4.2L was a vast improvement over the early 3.5 and 3.9L engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of a longer-stroked block and crank, with revised heads. No overheating issues to contend with. Head gaskets were serviced at 166K. 223K total miles, relatively average for a well-travelled Land Rover. Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears. Low and High transfer cases work fine. Four-wheel Power disc brakes, Power steering, Power windows and Power seats (they both work but a bit spotty at times, common on all Classic Rovers). Finish is the desirable Roman Bronze color. I am surmising that it may have been resprayed at some point in its life, but I do not see it anywhere; I make the assumption based on its age. There is NO clearcoat flaking or damage to the finish on the roof, hood or filler panel areas, common on many Rovers, specially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll, and nearly impossible to repair! It has a bump on the left rear area, as it is clearly pictured ( it has been there for a very long time according to the older gentleman that owned it previously to me). This makes no change or affect its drivability in any way. NOTE: I have ordered the missing bumper cap twice, and twice they sent me the wrong one~! grrrr...... * I finally received the correct corner; it will need to be installed. The original Sorrel Brown leather upholstery is in average condition and has held up well. VERY NICELY reupholstered front seats. In addition, it also comes with a newly-installed headliner, professionally done. It is firm and well attached in all areas ( a very common ailment on all Land Rovers that you will not have to contend with). Clean interior, door panels, factory carpeting and trunk area. NON SMOKER vehicle. Solid unrestored 93' Range Rover County Classic. It has had two owners, the second owner having taken it with him across the West, from a brief work stint in AZ shortly after purchase, to ten years in a logging interest in WA state ( since 1998, where incidentally it got its rear "log bump") until moving back to the SF Bay area in 2008, where the Rangie lives now. He finally retired at a ranch in unincorporated Palo Alto, in Northern California. Transfer case and differentials work fine in Low and High gearing. Recent work includes: * New tires * New alternator * Recent water pump * New rear brakes * Cold start valve * Heater core * Oil change SHELL Rotella 15W40 w/ MAHLE filter * New plugs * New wires * Rblt radiator * Clutch fan * Rblt ABS module * New rear BRITPART mud guards It's a solid high-miler, yet it is a strong 4.2L and it runs well with a strong, solid powertrain. Clean chassis, no tweaks and NO rust and original interior. CLEAN CA title. It will make a great traveler, off-roader or camping Rangie with some minor cosmetic tlc. TONS of room that only the LWB offers. I've been around Land Rovers for over 30 years and I am an avid Land Rover enthusiast, not just a seller. I own three others as well ( to include a 66' 109 which I am slowly restoring). I have priced this solid LWB modestly as I am in need of storage space, and would like for someone to take the reigns of this Rangie and have fun with it, or travel and go camping! SERIOUS inquiries ONLY. The RRC is a turn-key driver., and drives very well in the freeway. It is priced to sell and with ample room for someone's personal touch. A minty LWB would be way over $20K. The modest opening bid of this 93' barely reflects less than a quarter of that ! This LWB Classic has a clear California title with no issues. FREE AUTOCHECK report available on request. It has a strong 4.2L engine, solid bodywork and sound original interior. It will make a great off-roader, traveler or camping Rangie with some cosmetic tlc. I am also advertising this vehicle in other venues, and as such, I reserve the right to end this listing at any time, should a serious offer present itself. Range Rover Classics are getting harder and harder to find, specially in original, unaltered condition and in LWB configuration.
