The new configuration was a 2+2 design with a very limited back seat. Aside from the body shape and seating, relatively little differed from the roadster. Acceleration and top speed were slightly reduced due to the increased weight and additional smog control components on the engine. During its short run (Sept 1975 %26#8226; May 1976), 509 Jensen GTs were built before Jensen Motors went into receivership.Motoexotica is pleased to present our 1976 Jensen GT, number 30224. This GT has only 8,021 miles on it and it is one of the last cars built before the venerable Jensen Motors LTD. closed its doors for good. This%26nbsp; \"Shooting Brake\" style coupe has been well preserved and is a fine example of the Jensen GT. This car, know by Jensen fans as the \"good thinking car\"%26nbsp;is in excellent condition, and was equipped with the original tires until recently replaced with new ones for daily use, and will be included with the car once sold.%26nbsp; This car is also slightly famous with a nice little write up in Classic Motorsports, July 2013 issue, on page 53!The%26nbsp;original white paint looks very nice from siting in a garage for so many years, shows well and has only a handful of small knicks.%26nbsp; The chrome is bright and looks nice as well as%26nbsp;the other%26nbsp;trim.The interior is also very nice and appears \"Like New\".%26nbsp;%26nbsp;The dash%26nbsp;retains all of the original switches and gauges, with the exception of one window switch which was changed out for a similar one.%26nbsp; All the options, including the original clock is also in good working order with the exception of the horn which does not operate.. The headliner is original and sags slightly, but it is still presentable. The AC was inoperable, so it was removed, but we have all the parts, and they will come with the car. The door panels still have the factory protective plastic covers on them, which has kept the fabric fresh!Last but not least is the power train. The%26nbsp;Lotus Sourced, All Aluminum, 16 valve 4 cylinder runs very well, and is original, with only an oil change and a new timing belt added as stated by the previous owner. The twin Stromberg carburetors are well sorted, tuned nicely, and is capable of propelling this GT 0-60 in less than 10 seconds.%26nbsp;%26nbsp;It%26nbsp;is a lot of fun to drive and is quite powerful for its day. As of now the muffler has been removed from the car, and was%26nbsp;retained. The pre muffler and catalytic converter are still present and really gives a nice sound to this GT.%26nbsp; That, in combination with lower rear springs added for better handling, makes this a capable car with a huge fun factor. The horn is still the original unit but it is currently inoperable. The Jensen GT is a very rarely seen sports%26nbsp;car, with a deserving place in history. Here is your chance to own a beautiful, low mileage example today. The current The Vin is 30224 and is being sold with a clear Arizona actual miles title.%26nbsp; GET OUT AND DRIVE!%26nbsp; Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
