We are selling our 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4. This has been our daily driver, and has never let us down. We are letting it go because we got a newer Grand Cherokee andno longer need this one. This has been very well maintained and is a reliable vehicle for it's age and mileage. This is a family owned and used vehicle, so there are cosmetic issues from wear and tear. New catalytic converter, muffler, and tail pipe. Exhaust manifold was replaced a couple of years ago.- New Accel plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor- Tires were just rotated- Front Brake Pads recently replaced- Transmission Drained and Filter Changed -Has some interior cosmetic issues, and some minor paint peeling. (See pictures)-The rear hatch trim panel is broken and the screws are loose-Mechanically the Jeep is sound, there is sometimes a rattle from the tail pipe because the fit isn't perfect and it makes contact in the back near the rear axle.- The Information Center Screen says the coolant sensor is bad, but it has been replaced and it is an electrical issue (Common Problem)- The rear wiper motor works intermittently (Common Problem) IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, FEEL FREE TO ASK! This is my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and even though it has 187,000 miles, it still looks great.First and foremost, the engine most likely needs repairs which is why the price is over 50% of the retail value. Mechanics have narrowed it down to either a rod bearing or piston skirt. It runs still just with a loud knock/tick so I wouldn't put more than 1,000 miles without reapairing. The rest of the car is in amazing shape (I took great care of it) and easily has another 30k miles once the engine is fixed. A used engine swap will cost $200-$400 or you can put in a new engine for $1500. Only two people have ever owned this car (myself and my dad) and we both are not smokers. Exterior and engine specs include the V8 5.7 liter engine with tow package (7200lb tow capacity), automatic with 5 speed overdrive, alloy wheels, rear spoiler, traction control, ABS, cruise control, power steering, snow,sport, sand and regular driving condition settings, trail rated. Vehicle is clear of rust and is in excellent mechanical condition with no known issues and a clean engine compartment with no leaks. Current mileage is 69, 916. This vehicle has excellent safety ratings, as well fantastic performance reviews. It handles beautifully in the snow and is the perfect mountain car. The reason we are selling is to purchase a vehicle with a third row for our growing family (and we are very sad to see it go!) The vehicle has been regularly serviced at Jiffy Lube. It was serviced for all outstanding recall issues in February 2015 at the Jeep Chrysler dealer in Littleton, CO and has had no problems prior to or after recall replacements. This car never towed anything. It was used predominately in the city but was also our mountain vehicle (ski rack not included). The tires have about 20-25000 miles remaining on the tread. I have documented in the photos below the small dings and scratches that are on the exterior of the vehicle including a few scratches on the top rear of the vehicle, some small dents above the driver door, and some small scratches near the license plate. Vehicle was purchased from a dealer at 37,000 miles in excellent condition. This vehicle only has one key.

this listing is for a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I have owned since 2010. This was mom's car then my daughter drove it to work for a couple of years. She has now bought a car and the jeep isn't needed anymore. This has been a daily driver and started and ran everyday even when it was -20 last winter. This jeep does great in snow with full time 4WD. It is not perfect as you can see in the photos but it is a great kid car or reliable back and forth car. It uses about a quart of oil on a 3000 mile service interval and has been serviced religiously while I have owned it.
