This Jeep was originally an Air Force officers jeep from McChord Air Force Base. I bought it about 3 years ago and was planning on building it into my wheeler. It was all stock except for wheels and tires. It has no oil leaks, and has very minimal rust for having been on the pacific coast most of its life. Unfortunately I am starting a new business and need some capitol so I'm going to sell my baby.The jeep has the GM 151 Iron Duke 4 cylinder with a Borg Warner SR4 four-speed transmission, and a Dana 300 transfer-case. I was planning on putting a Buick L67 3.8 supercharged V6 with a 4L65E transmission in it, all on a new frame with a Dana 60 and 14 bolt under coil-overs.I have put a new clutch in it, a new radiator from a YJ along with an electric fan, and rebuilt the Webber carburetor along with a tune up and a new electric fuel pump and pressure regulator. I put new u joints in both drive-lines when I replaced the clutch. Axles, transmission, and transfer-case are all stock with new oil in the last 500 miles. The soft top is new with in the last year and I put on the red tailgate because the original was really thrashed. I added a 2 inch shackle lift to clear the 35x13.50r15 Toyo M/T tires that were under it. It now has a set of new Maxxis Bighorn 235/85R16 tires on it. The Buick L67 3.8 supercharged V6 and 4L65E transmission both have around 90,000 miles on them. I have all of the computers and wiring harnesses, on which nothing has been cut, and I would be willing send all of it with it for $1,400I would be willing to leave the 50 inch rigid light bar on for an extra $900.I also have a new Throttle Down Customs mandrel bent frame for it that I would include for an extra $2,000 I also have a set of brand new staz-works 17x10 8x6.5 double bead-lock wheels that I would be willing to sell for $2,000.The winch and bumper I'm going to keep for my next rig someday down the road. For $8,000 you are getting just the jeep, but if you send me a best offer for $14,000 you can have everything that I have for it. 1983 Jeep Scrambler original survivor!!!! My Jeep, bought brand new in 1983 by my brother, is the best example of a Jeep Scrambler left on the planet. I've owned it since 1993 and after driving it for two years parked it in my garage where it has been unused and stored for the past 20 years.As you can see from the photos the paint is original with straight panels and no rust. There are some minor scratches on the body and some more invasive ones in the truck bed. There are some very small dings and a scratch on the hood. In some places the paint is thin and worn through from 32 years of excessive polishing. The top, "jump seat" and interior are original and in excellent condition. There is a tear in the drivers seat that has been repaired with sail repair tape. Although the odometer reads 121,040, the 4.2 6 cyl engine has less than 300 miles on the rebuild. The Clutch and Pressure Plate are new. There is not a better example of an original CJ8 Scrambler on the Planet!!!!

For Sale is my 1984 Jeep Scrambler. This Jeep has only 126....k miles on it (I'm still driving it so the mileage may go up some), but almost everything was JUST rebuilt or replaced within the last 600 miles and I have receipts for pretty much everything to go with it. This jeep was purchased new in New Mexico and then spent part of it's life in Arizona so the body is in great shape and could be easily prepped and freshly painted if you wanted. I actually like having a nice fresh drive train etc under the original Ice Blue color with the original decals on it for a cool patina look. I've never seen another one in Ice Blue with the stripes and eagle/hawk on it. I've actually never seen this decal set on any jeep. UPDATED HEADLIGHTS (Huge Difference, Uses Philips H4 Bulbs) ALL FLUIDS FLUSHED AND SERVICED WITH NEW THERE'S UNDER 600 MILES SINCE ALL THE ABOVE WORK WAS COMPLETED The Engine was rebuilt 22k miles ago I was told and it drives great. It will run on the hwy at about 65mph without pushing it no problem. If you want a bigger engine for some reason then put one in it. If this had the 6 cylinder this would be for sale for well over 16k for sure and you can put a new 4.2L or V8 in it for less than the difference, but it is a great daily driver the way it is! This is the Scrambler to have if you don't want to have to worry about replacing anything expensive since everything has already been done. Just get in and daily drive it. I drove the jeep to on the hwy back to NV for over 4 hours when I purchased it without a problem and averaged about 18mpg over all the hills with the A/C on. These things aren't made for the highway (noisy etc, hence the reason I've bought new seals etc and installed some already to help with the noise as you can read below), but I'd not hesitate to drive it on long trips. It really is setup to be a great vintage looking daily driver with A/C! Other Jeep guys have been doing double takes when I'm out driving it. The previous owner has a Mercedes dealership in Scottsdale, AZ and had his mechanics go through this and do all the work to install the parts above so he could take it on an Alaska trip, but the trip never happened so it was sold. I've been fixing some things up since I've had it as well. I've ordered a few parts and already installed some of them that will be included. NEW DOOR LOCKS- (already installed), REPAIR MANUAL (included) NEW FULL DOOR WEATHER STRIPS (Driver's installed, haven't gotten around to doing the passengers yet. Passenger included if I have not installed before sold) NEW TOP WEATHERSTRIPPING WITH TOP TO WINDSHIELD SEAL ((all new in wrapper)... The cabin noise is getting much quieter and if you added carpet it would be the next best step if you cared about that sort of thing) NEW KICKER CS5 5.25" DASH SPEAKERS (Installed) NEW DOOR PANEL CLIPS (already installed) NEW REAR VIEW MIRROR (installed). BLF Front Bumper (I've also purchased New D-Rings for the bumper to be included) It has some normal wear and tear obviously being 30 years old and ORIGINAL EXTERIOR. There is a dent on the tailgate where the tire carrier was pushed into it (primarily only the tailgate, which cannot be seen with the spare on and is less than $100 for a new one if you decided to fix before painting). It has about 1" of play still in the steering and I've read that it's probably the castor from the lift (since the drag link etc has been done), but it hasn't bothered me enough to take it in for an alignment. I can do a walk around on the phone or answer any questions. Clean and Clear AZ Title IN HAND. Carfax on hand as well. All Paperwork (original owners manual etc) and receipts for parts included with the Jeep. I will help with shipping any way I can if needed. 1981 Jeep Scrambler This is my 1981 Jeep Scrambler with about 44,600 known original miles. It runs excellent. Starts right up. Looks great! No major rot or rust. If you're looking for a great running CJ8, look no further! It is unknown if the radio works because I have not hooked it up. New speakers come with the jeep. 4wd works great! Transmission shift smoothly Tires are new, spare has 0 miles on it. Extra seat in the bed of the truck with 2 sets of seat belts. Locking storage in the bed of the truck Just a little over 44,500 original miles All the turn signals, tail and headlights, reverse light, license plate lamp, hazards, and spotlights work. All gauges work on the dash except the oil pressure gauge is a little slow (just knock on it to get it to read properly), sometimes the emergency light comes on while the emergency brake is not activated. The emergency brake does work. This Jeep passed inspection and is registered and insured in the state of Texas. Title is clear and in hand. This 1981 Jeep Scrambler CJ8 has recently undergone a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration. Clad in Chestnut Brown Metallic, paint quality is outstanding. It's wearing the correct Scrambler graphics package providing a classic vintage Jeep look. All panels are straight with good gaps; there are no known rust issues topside or underneath. The truck comes with both custom steel half doors and full soft doors; it also has a snap-in tonneau cover for the bed. Front and rear Warn bumpers are like new. BF Goodrich 31x10.50 all-terrain tires on factory wagon wheels in good condition complete the look. The interior shows well with nearly new Corbeau Moab Jeep bucket seats up front, and a matching folding bench in the rear. The steel frame for the soft rear cab window can be removed with four bolts for easier access to the rear seat. Under the hood is a Mopar Performance crate motor (a fuel injected 4.0 liter inline six). Mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, power delivery is smooth and confident thanks to the fuel injection and the gearing of the five-speed. It's a nice upgrade from stock while still using genuine Mopar components and retaining a correct Jeep feel. Fitted with disc brakes and power steering, the truck runs and drives beautifully -- just as you would expect with such a fresh drivetrain. California buyers take note: the catalytic converter is still installed, and the performance engine controller has been granted CARB E.O. #D-265-12 and is emission exempt in California.
