Selling a very nice 1984 CJ7 Laredo. This is a very special Jeep, and I hate to see it go. This is a special order Garnet and Nutmeg color combination. True collectors know how limited production numbers of this special order combination are out there... not very many. This CJ is a true survivor. All the paint, carpet, interior, etc. is all original. The hood did have a repaint a couple of years ago due to fading. The front fenders have some rock chips and the paint does have some wear. However, keep in mind this is a 33 year old survivor. Overall, this Jeep is in excellent condition. Absolutely zero rust / rot / body repairs ever done to this vehicle. Believe me when I tell you this is a good one! Again, not a pristine, but very very good. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts smoothly as it should. 4WD engages no problem. All the windows roll up/down perfectly. All gauges are original and still work as they should. Even the clock still works perfectly. Though this Jeep is one of the very best survivors still out there, it is not perfect. The AC is complete and intact, but does not work. Could be something as simple as a fuse or tripped pressure switch, but I never looked in to it. Jeeps are meant to be driven without their tops on! Unfortunately, when I purchased the Jeep, the factory radio did not work. I took it out, bench tested it, and it just didn't work. I brought it to a local electronics repair shop and the guy had no clue what was wrong with it. The radio has been discarded. However, the wiring harness for the radio is complete and uncut. Its still inside the Jeep. The original interior is in excellent condition overall. The driver seat does have a tear on the bottom cushion. This is very common, especially for a vehicle of this age. A seller on eBay sells exact reproduction seat bottoms should you decide to replace it. The passenger seat and rear bench are both in outstanding condition. The window seals will need replacing. No big deal as its an easy job. Also, at some point, the previous owner must have removed or replaced the rear differential cover as it has some green paint on it. Other then these few issues aforementioned, this Jeep is a outstanding. All in all this is an extremely rare, valuable Jeep. The original window sticker and sales invoice come with the Jeep, so that is kind of cool! As you guys have seen, the prices on these just keep going up. Nice Laredo that is a daily driver. I have owned a lot of jeep's, but this is one of the best I've had. 1982 Jeep CJ7 Laredo: The Jeep CJ-7 featured a wheelbase 10 inches longer than that of the CJ-5 and lacked its trademark rear curve of the door cutouts. The other main difference to the CJ-5 was to the chassis which hitherto consisted of two parallel longitudinal main c-section rails. To help improve vehicle handling and stability, the rear section of the chassis stepped out to allow the road springs and dampers to be mounted closer to the outside of the body. It was introduced in 1976, and 379,299 were built during 11 years of production. The CJ-7 featured an optional new automatic all-wheel drive system called Quadra-Trac, as well as a part-time two-speed transfer case. An automatic transmission was also an option. Other features included an optional molded hardtop, and steel doors. The CJ-7 was also available in Renegade and an upgraded Laredo model. Noticeable by their different body decals, the Laredo model featured highback leather bucket seats, a tilting steering wheel and an elaborate chrome package that included the bumpers, front grille, and mirrors. An optional Trak-Lok differential was available for the rear. Rear axle ratio typically 3.54, but later went up to 2.73. This is the cleanest, lowest-mileage, original Jeep Laredo on the market anywhere in the US. With the exception of a small rip in the driver seat, this CJ7 is in outstanding condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The paint, stripes, and interior are all original. The Chesnut removable hardtop is in perfect shape and the wheel wells are clean enough to eat off. It is almost to nice to put miles on but it rides so nice you won't be able to help yourself!
