I had to put it as 1980.Hello, Imagine if you wanted a Jeep in 1953 CJ3B Willys and you never had a chance, here it is build by Japanese to their standards and tolerances of the day 34 years later, and wait for this, with a Turbo Diesel motor! Comparing Original Willys to this would be like eating raw meat vs nicely cooked stake. You are looking on a very clean Mitsubishi Jeep J53 Turbo Diesel. I have been hunting this Jeep for a while i would ay several months to find a CLEAN, ORIGINAL, UNMOLESTED NO RUST example. The condition of the jeep is very good for the year and considering that these trucks were never meant to become rare collectibles. Almost all of them were treated purposely, as a 4x4 truck to get around in a off road terrain.The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Once you drive it, that is when you completely fall in love with it. The simplicity of this jeep is what attracts to it. 2.7 Turbo Diesel motor motor cranks instantly with a half a turn and feels strong. On top of that this Jeep gets 35+ MPG and is an absolute blast to drive.Once it is going it feels stiff as new. Steering and suspension has no play whatsoever. Drive train has absolutely no play and is as tight as new. Transmission shifts superb and 4 drum brakes in the front and rear will lock up all for tires if you are not careful.Paint does show some wear but for the original condition it is absolutely normal wear for being almost 30 years old 4x4 with a rag top. In fact the rag top (full top cover with doors) is in good condition and is included with the sale.This truck has only 43k miles of a verified provable mileage from new and it shows that it was in good hands.Interior is in very good condition and does not make squeaks or rattles when going down the road. There are no leaks or rust whatsoever and This vehicle received fresh maintenance including oil / antifreeze and a new air filter.Air conditioning is ice cold.Serious buyers only!!! For sale is my beautiful early 1971 Jeep cj5. This jeep has just gone through a frame off restoration in my restoration shop. We started with a clean Arizona rust free jeep that the previous owner had started rebuilding. Previous owner had installed the strong dauntless 225 buick odd fire v6, manual transmission and dana 20 transfercase. The front and rear axles were geared to 3.73 to allow highway speeds with ease. I have driven this jeep with out any issue at 70 mph. The engine has a 4 bbl quadrajet carburetor and full length headers with side exhaust. The side exhaust is under the rocker face by several inches making it nearly impossible to burn your leg. The previous owner had also fully boxed in the frame, Installed power steering and installed a cable clutch linkage to improve clutch feel. Once we got the Jeep into my shop we stripped it down to the bare chassis. We installed the current carburetor, brand new drive shaft changed every fluid in the jeep and re sealed the differential covers. We went through the brakes checking all of the hardware, shoes and drums flushed all of the fluid and replaced anything needed. the front brakes have been upgraded to the newer open knuckle axle with larger brakes. The entire chassis was then stripped and painted with a heavy duty coating normally reserved for over the road trucks. This coating is black with a nice semi gloss finish and is hard as nails and impervious to chemicals or road salts. We then dis assembled the entire body and sanded it down. The body had no rust so no rust repair was needed. After sanding the jeep down to remove any old paint and fillers we coated the entire body and all parts with southern polyurethanes epoxy sealer. This seals the body from any future rust. We then did any body work and blocked the jeep to perfection, A second epoxy sealer coat was used before spraying the base coat clear orange. The paint has incredible depth and shine and was color sanded and buffed to the finish you see. We wanted to insulate and protect the tub so we turned to bed liner vets to spray a beautiful thick coat of bed liner on the bottom side of the tub, inside the front and rear fender wells and also the entire interior of the tub. Not only does this look great and protect the tub from rust but it also makes the entire jeep feel tight and rattle free like a new jeep! The front and rear seats were replaced with brand new Smittybilt low backs and the rear seat is a fold and tumble that matches. It folds up tight against the back of the front seats for hauling cargo. the dash has an all new set of electronic programmable gauges including speedometer, tach, coolant temp, oil pressure, voltage and fuel. All new electronic sending units for the gauges were installed. Every rubber part on the jeep has been replaced from the body mounts to the fuel filler to the windshield rubber! The windshield is also brand new with a licensed jeep logo in the corner! Every lens and chrome bezel on the exterior of the jeep are new! The old wiring harness was ditched for a brand new jeep specific harness with modern insulated wiring and a blade style fuse box instead of the old glass fuses. A sony explode stereo has been installed with 2 new speakers under the dash. It sounds great and has a plug in on the front for an mp3 or usb. All of the vintage jeep touches were retained from the swing away tire carrier, the fold down side steps to the smittybilt roll bar! Wheels are also vintage 15x10 slotted mags painted black. Tires are brand new 33x12.5x15 mud terrains and all 5 tires and wheels match. A brand new steering wheel and brand new bikini top wrap up this amazing little jeep. THe engine was treated to a full tune up, an electronic distributor conversion and a massive aluminum racing radiator with an electric fan. The fan is on an automatic temperature switch that cycles it as needed. Included in the sale is a tow bar from the original owner and a brand new in the box set of bestop black soft half doors that are not installed. I decided to allow he new owner to choose if they want them or not. Everything on this jeep works and looks beautiful. It starts nicely even when cold and runs, drives and shifts great. Everywhere I took it when testing I got thumbs ups, compliments and pictures taken. You will not find a nicer little jeep. Truly no nut or bolt has been left unturned. For sale is an extremely clean 1986 Jeep CJ7 with only 86,000 original miles. It has a brand new 150 Cubic Inch Four Cylinder Crate Engine with less than 500 miles on it. All the radiator hoses, heater hoses, fuel lines, and fuel filters are brand new including all the hose clamps. It has a brand new radiator with new clutch fan as well. I also installed a brand new OPTIMA RED TOP BATTERY, and a new Kat back bolt on exhaust system. It has a T-4 four speed manual transmission, with a Model 300 Transfer Case with 4H-2H-N-4L. The frame, skid plates, shock mounts, drive shafts, and differentials, along with all other components were stripped and cleaned then painted super gloss black. I installed all new suspension bushings as well as a brand new skyjacker 4 inch suspension lift kit, with new nitro shocks. I then replaced the stock spring shackles with a set of Warrior Products Extreme duty 1.5 inch lift Shackles. Both differentials were serviced, and the axle and hub bearings were also cleaned, re-packed, and re-sealed, then re-installed. I then installed a set of new Superwinch Premium Locking Hubs, and a new steering stabilizer. The undercarriage of the tub along with the inside of the front fenders were stripped, cleaned, then undercoated. I then installed five new Black Cragar 16X8” D window Wheels with matching black premium lug nuts. It has five matching BFG Mud Terrain 255-85-R16 (34” tall tires) that are in excellent condition. The interior was completely taken out, and the tub was sanded down, cleaned, painted, and bed lined around the top end of the tub, then I installed a new heavy duty custom fit vinyl floor in the Jeep. The seat brackets were all sandblasted and painted super gloss black, then brand new Smittybilt front bucket seats and a new rear Smittybilt bench seat was installed with all new hardware. The Jeep has brand new seat belts front and rear, as well as new front and rear Quadratec ultimate floor liners and cargo liner. The Shifter knobs, and shifter boots for the manual transmission and transfer case are all new. The dash was taken completely apart sandblasted and painted semi-gloss black, and all the dash lamps, gauges, and climate control cables were replaced with new ones other than the speedometer gauge, voltmeter gauge, and oil pressure gauge. I installed a new Pyle radio with Bluetooth technology that fits into the stock location without any cutting or drilling. I then installed a new stock speaker, and a new clove box with all new hardware. The dash is unmolested and in perfect condition as is the rest of the interior. It looks brand new! The heater box was taken completely apart cleaned and re-installed with a new heater core, heater duct hoses, and wind shield defrost vents. The sun visors and hardware, along with the roll bar pad cover are all brand new as well. It also has a new Jeep steering wheel with a Jeep horn logo. The driver and passenger side mirrors as well as the rear view mirror are all brand new as well. The front grill of the jeep was sanded down, primed, and painted flat black. New black windshield hinges, KC Light windshield bracket mounts, hood, and door accessories were all ordered in black to match as well. I also installed a new front bumper. I have a binder full of receipts for parts and work I had completed that will be included. I also have a new soft top, and bikini top with an extra set of soft doors that will be included. This Jeep is in immaculate condition for its age, and is super clean! I would not hesitate to drive this Jeep across country anywhere, it is very mechanically sound, and runs great! The 4x4 works as it should and there is no rust on the Jeep anywhere, it does have a few small dings and rock chips here and there that are expected for a vehicle of its age but nothing serious at all. The rock chips in the pictures on the front of the fenders, and the front edge of the hood are from the Jeep being towed behind an RV on a (trailer) by the original owners, it was (never flat towed) and miles on the Jeep are accurate and recorded on the title as actual mileage. The only thing that needs to be replaced is the voltmeter gauge and oil pressure gauge. They have not worked since I purchased the jeep. The jeep does have a new alternator, and has excellent oil pressure, I just forgot the gauges were not working when I reinstalled them. The two gauges are around $10.00 apiece through Quadratec. Other than the volt meter gauge and the oil pressure gauge everything else is in perfect working order as described above. You will not be disappointed with this Jeep! They are getting extremely hard to find in this condition, and it would not take much to turn this one into a show Jeep, especially since all the hard work is finished! Clean and Clear Title in hand! I also have a few other parts that are included as a package deal, I have a complete front (Dana 30) and rear (Dana 20) differentials for this Jeep that I bought as spares, along with a newer Chevy 350 crate engine that’s complete with everything including an Edelbrock 4 barrel intake, It just needs a carburetor. I also have connected to the Chevy 350 a Compound 4 speed manual transmission, and a NP 205 transfer case. This kit includes everything to install a Chevy 350 in the CJ7 with brand new, still in the box Headman ceramic coated fender well headers, and a brand new header back bolt on exhaust. It also includes the longer, and shorter drive shafts, and the easy plug and play wiring harness. The kit just needs the $99.00 motor mount adapters that can be purchased through Quadratec. I am open to making a special package deal for the Jeep and all these extras parts if interested. Or will sell the Jeep by itself, I am open to offers!
