What we have here is a nice 304 Cubic inch automatic '76 Jeep CJ7 that needs to be finished. I picked this up as a winter project while I recuperate from a health event. My health went south and i dont have the drive to complete the project. Included with buy it now, brand new engine lift. This is a clean title and matching numbers. The Good Stuff; The entire body is replaced with a fiberglass body that is in great shape. It has both doors and the hard top.The engine runs strong with no knocks and no smoking. The engine is tight, does not burn or leak oil. The old carb was replaced with a new double pumper. the ignition is upgraded with an electronic ignition, Hotshot coil, and new distributor gear. There is a new starter, new fuel pump, new gas lines replacing the old rusty ones. The alternator is replaced along with a larger core radiator, new thermostat, flex fan and new upper hose. I added a steering stabilizer shock absorber kit and she drove like a BMW. The tranny fluid is new along with the filter. There are updated Warn Lock-out hubs, the transfer case has a hi/low range shifter at the drivers seat. The tires are 95% good there are various small parts for the rebuild included, things like gaskets and odds and ends. The suspension is lifted 4" and the body 2' There is a snow plow that mounts on the front bumper the hydraulics link to a T fitting in the power steering with controls on the dash board. Bad Stuff; Needs a battery box, minor scratches on the body. interior need so lovin. The frame is shot and a replacement rolling frame is included with the sale. 1971 Jeep CJ-5350 Chevy V8/ 3-speedAvailable for sale is a 1971 CJ-5. This is really an awesome little Jeep. It looks mean, it sounds mean, and it will turn heads anywhere you might take it. The one thing I really love about most Jeeps is they are so simple. Not 10,000 little parts here and there you have to worry about. They are solid, dependable, and a lot of fun. With most cars of this age, the big questions are, what has it had done, and what does it need? Just from the pictures, one can see a lot has gone back in to this one. Except for the hood, the body is entirely fiberglass. No rust concerns. The 350 V8 runs strong and the dual exhaust gives it a nice growl. The 3-speed manual shifts good, and the Jeep locks into 4 wheel drive just like its supposed to. It has on it now, half doors and a bikini top. Included in the auction will be a full soft top and full soft doors for the Jeep. (All of which look like brand new) An 8,000lb rated winch on the front, and the spare tire is a 5th matching rim. Everything works perfectly. There are NO mechanical issues. It has lived a very well cared for life and has evaded the hackmaster crowd all its life. At 70,000 right after I bought the Jeep it developed an engine noise, I sent it to one of my best mechanics who put a new cam and lifters in it..I put 5 new BFGoodrich TAs on it, A new Stereo System, Added a bikini top in addition to the full soft top. All lights work, brakes are 100%, tires are period correct, original hubcaps included. Seats are original, glass is clean and original, I even have the keys for the hardtop!! This jeep is old and aged but clean. The top of the hardtop shows years of sun fading, body is rust free and clean but there have been places of touch up over the years, paint appears to be 80% original. I amaze everyone when I barely turn the key and the JEEP just starts and idles even if its been sitting for days.
