304 v8 with 20000 miles. Rebuilt about 10 years ago by a local machine shop. Has some typical jeep rust, hasnt been run for a few years. Previous owner had engine done then hit a cement parking post and cracked the frame behind the drivers front suspension. The crack is right where the frame goes from a boxed frame to c-channel. Up for sale is a 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A VIN# 98424. This Jeep has only 21 Miles on a complete frame off restoration. Everything has been completely disassembled, media blasted primed and painted. The engine has been completely rebuilt. All machine work was done by a professional machine shop. It has been bored to .060 over with new pistons and rings. The block has been decked. The crankshaft has been polished and the rods have been reconditioned. It has new rod, main and cam bearing installed. The valves have been re-ground and new guides were installed. The camshaft is new with re-ground lifters. The oil pump, water pump and fuel pumps are also new. The flywheel has been re-surfaced and a new clutch set and ring gear were installed. The transmission, transfer case and front and rear axles have been cleaned and re-assembled with all new bearings and seals. The transmission has a new second gear also. It has a new 3 row aluminum radiator with all new hoses. The drive shafts have all new U-joints installed. The brake system has all new shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, fittings, rubber hoses and steel lines. The suspension system is 100% new including springs, shocks, bushings, shackles and U-bolts. The fuel system is completely new including a new tank, sender, lines, pump, and carburetor. The electrical system is 12 volt with a 60 amp alternator and a new battery. The starter has been professionally re-built. The wiring is a new USA made harness using old style cloth rapped wire. All gauges and speedometer are new. The steering wheel and horn button are new. The emergency brake has new shoes and cable. It has the original horn which is very rare to find. The seats have been covered in heavy duty good quality vinyl using the original patterns. The inner windshield frame is new and .025 safety glass was installed. The wipers are the original vacuum on the drivers side and manual wiper on the passenger side. The body is all factory sheet metal. No reproductions. All the floors have been replaced including all hat channels. No wood was used in the new hat channels. All rust has been completely removed. The body was sealed with epoxy primer. It was primed with 2k primer and pained with Acrylic Urethane in the original Luzon Red for 1947. The wheels have been media blasted zinc primed and powder coated in the original universal beige. It has 5 new USA made 600-16 NDT 4 ply tires from Specialty Tires of America. The exhaust system is also completely new. I am sure I am forgetting something but that pretty much covers it. There is nothing on the this Jeep that was un-touched. It runs and drives great and everything works as it should. It is ready to go and has already won an award at a local truck show. I don't think you can find a better restored jeep for the money. It is very well put together and is a jeep anyone would be proud to own. I bought it as a parts vehicle with no title and it will have to be sold as a parts vehicle with no title. It has the nice Warrior front and rear bumpers as pictured, complete with the tow bar hooks. It also has the OEM factory roll bar and a very nice front clip as pictured. I think this little CJ would be a great start for a rock crawler project. The frame is in excellent condition, it doesn't look like it has ever been damaged or touched. It will be a rolling project that includes both the front and rear differentials, that seem to be in really nice condition. I pulled the covers and they both look really clean. The rear panel and the pans have some rust in them as pictured. It does not include the motor, transmission or transfer case. Priced accordingly.
