This was a frame up, all steel build that I completed in October of 2010. The frame, underbody, inner fenders, firewall, under hood and inside of tub are all covered in black Vortex, which is a rubberized covering that chemically bonds to the steel and prevents it from rusting. The exterior of the Jeep is covered with blue Granitex, which is typically used on garage floors for its resistance to scratching, chipping and wear. Works great for the exterior of a Jeep! The axles are off of a 1979 International Scout and are both Dana 44's that have 3.73 gears front and rear with a TracLoc automatic locking rear differential. The front and rear diffs also have nice chrome covers and the Jeep has a lot of chrome accents throughout. The driveshaft is from Tattons and is has a double-cardan joint at the transfer case that allows for the steep angle without failure. The Transfer Case is a Dana 20 Case, with Dana 300 Gears. The transmission is a hard to find 4-speed T18A with a Hurst shifter.. It is very sought after for its 1st gear ratio of 6.32:1. I have replaced the main bearings and synchronizers as well as all of the gaskets on it and the transfer case. The pressure plate is a Center Force plate which really locks up well and I have replaced the traditional mechanical clutch linkage with a hydraulic clutch. The engine is a professionally built stock long block AMC 360 with an RV cam and Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor and chrome valve covers as well as air cleaner with K&N filter and a 1 wire HEI Ignition. The entire build including engine has 1500 miles on it. The exhaust sounds very nice with 3” dual exhaust that comes off of thick flanged headers to meet a set of Master Flow mufflers…the sound is deep, but not too loud. I replaced the mechanical fuel pump with an electric fuel pump mounted near the rear of the frame, close to the tank that supplies the carburetor with 6 psi of fuel. It also has Tilt and Power Steering with a steering gear brace that links up to a very heavy duty tie rod and tie rod end setup to support the 35x14.5”Super Swamper TSL’s that are mounted on offset 15”wide Weld Rims with 6"Bushwacker Fender Flares. It is lifted 3.5" on the suspension by 7"shackle's front and rear. Also has 2"of Body Lift. The winch is a 10,000 pound Rough Country winch with cable with a 3/8”steel winch plate that ties into the frame with four grade 8 bolts. The interior is covered in Aqua seat covers and makes them water resistant. All gauges work, but doesn't have heat/ac, the controls are just to fill the dash holes. This Jeep will also include an additional transmission and transfer case. The also hard to find TF727 automatic with a fresh rebuild and torque converter. Approximately 1000 miles on it. Also, comes with an extra Dana 300 transfer case. I also have soft doors, soft top, bikini top, hard top and rear door for hard top(needs reconditioning). That will come with this jeep purchase.
