..... this is one of those rare cars you own that you simply know will always start,always get you there and always get you home.Its incredibly dependable.I installed a rebuilt block and I installed a new TUPY head,runs fantastic and has great constant oil pressure ,Transmission and T case is from an 85k mile grand cherokee.No check engine abs seatbelt or abs lights on. I personally installed in the last few months...along with above described engine,,,new front rotors and pads,I rebuilt the front axles,hubs are perfect,new front shocks new front links,new rear links,new rear lower trailing arm,new rear upper control arm assembly(looks like a large boomerang)new rear upper control arm center ball joint,new ,not used ,or refurbished but a new factory stereo.New muffler.I replaced every dash and control bulb(tiny ones that always burn out).tires have less than 3000 miles on them.Repaired common vacuum line failure that controls hvac and cruise control.Now all works,New front headlight assemblies....forget trying to polish old ones its a waste of time imo.They always get dull again quickly. These 4.0 jeep straight 6 engines are notorious for being great...well,most years are......the 2000 to early 2002 4.0 have a bad head casting and they will crack between the rockers of cylinders 3+4....at some point all 00-02 non TUPY castings will crack...the right fix by Jeep (and it was the correct one)was a head casting redesign using a TUPY thick cast head...these are perfect and do not crack.If you remove the oil fill cap and look in(easy to see) and it doesn't have TUPY cast in the head...on a 2000-02,pass on it or buy a head cause its probably already cracked. No fluid leaks,decent on fuel and this 4.0 6 is unusually very quiet and has nice torque and throttle response. So....you can certainly buy this gen grand cherokee with less numbers on the odometer but it will need all I've replaced on this,and if a 200-02 and has the 4.0 engine ,it will have a cracked or soon to crack head or worse,the 4.7 v8 which is head gasket failure plagued.......this one also has the desired part time transfer case,so you can stay in 2wd when 99% of the time 4wd is not needed......only needs i know of... rear axle carrier/pinion bearing gives a barely noticeable hum if you listen hard...no need to replace/repair ...rear brake pads are at 35% estimate....Not a new jeep so be real here,but she sure looks better than 95 percent of this gen jeeps regardless of miles,and runs great,with no worries of engine failure for a LOOOOOONNGGG time.Theres no new 2000 jeeps around and this one too is not a new jeep.That said,ive owned tons and tons of jeeps,this is a GOOD one.Drive anywhere.Just easily passed NJ inspection good for 2 years. deposit due right at auction close ,no later,,jeep sold as is.Thankyou

RARE green color code PJP ! Heres a great opportunity for all the Jeep XJ lovers.Needs right fender, bumper,header panel and grill.I have its perfect right wheel fender flare still.It collided with a tree at low speed.The right front frame extension could be pulled 1/4 inch but doesn't look like it needs to be.Id do it since this is such a perfect shape jeep otherwise.As you can see in the photos the right front door and hood were untouched and their gaps are perfect.Actually there is a small chip in the paint in the front edge of the hood.Thats it.The airbag light illuminates after startup but was doing this before the damage.No airbags deployed.This has the quietest 4.0 engine Ive ever had.....My red 2000 cherokee with 100K miles has the common valve train noise, this one does not.Steering wheel is straight,I've only driven it in my neighborhood and she drives straight.A/C works radio works cruise works All windows work locks work rear wiper works has factory remote entry.Exhaust is fairly new and quiet.No common manifold leaks. Has a 3 or 3 1/2 skyjacker lift with front sway bar disconnects,full rear spring assemblies(not add a leaf) and transfer case drop.Runs smooth and quiet trans shifts perfectly 4wd works perfectly.Cold a/c hot heat,fairly rare working cruise control.Interior is absolutely perfect with no usual headliner sag ,no wear on the steering wheel leather,and no splits or tears on the drivers seat.No fluid leaks.I will offer this for sale this one and only time before winter sets in....if no real buyers(id be shocked) ill do the simple repairs myself over this winter.As you can research here on eBay,some of these XJ cherokees sell for 12K and up when near perfect.I have a clear clean NJ title in hand.Sold as is .A non refundable small deposit of $200 is due instantly at auction end.Low feedback bids will be deleted.If you are a BUYER and want to speak to me send your number and I will call you.Please no nonsense time wasters or games.Thank you.
