1978 Jeep CJ7 looking for a new home - Solid little runaround unit, with more bang for the buck than most any other vehicle on the planet! 258 6cyl, 3 spd manual. Manual transfer case with old-school locking hubs. 94k original miles. Says "RENEGADE" across the hood on both sides, but I have no idea whether or not she's an authentic Renegade edition. It does have carpet and a cigarette lighter/ashtray....so perhaps it is. Who knows?! Pretty much bone stock; no cuts, lifts, nips or tucks. Besides a speaker hole in the dash, she's whole. This is just a bombproof design, with a super simple 6-cyl and manual transmission. Doesn't get ay better. She's just as airy and rattly and leaky as you remember them....and she's just as fun! No frills machine, with manual steering and hydraulic drum brakes on all four corners. Heater works, lights turn on/off, and she starts every time. Good fiberglass top and removable doors have functional roll-down windows. Swing-away spare tire rack on the back end makes for easy access to the rear cargo area. Body is solid, with only the tiniest bit of cancer on the passenger rear quarter. A pair of diamond plate corner covers would make it go away in no time. Front fenders have a few small dents/dings, and the rear tailgate has a dent in it as well, but it's hidden by the spare tire. Paint (what's left of it!) is a combination of blue and white, and is pretty weathered overall. Interior is a little rough (seat covers hide the voodoo), but the glass is all good. With some strategic blanket placement, it cleans up nicely. Stereo appears to be a newer head unit, but there are currently no speakers in the Jeep - so I have no idea as to the entertainment end of this thing. I assume it's fine - but I've not tested any part of it. Tires have great tread, but are pretty weather-checked and could use replaced if you were planning on trucking across the country. If you use it the same way I do (knocking around town, four-wheeling in the local hills, etc.) they'll likely last for quite a while yet. Just a good ol' fun Jeep CJ7. Not much else needs to be said. Clean, clear Colorado title in my name. There's plenty to work on if you so desire.....and it you don't? Then yank the doors/top, get the stereo working, and start Jeepin'! PM with questions/offers.
