2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport The last year of the Jeep Cherokee XJ Free and Clear Virginia Title Drivetrain : 24,222 Original Miles, yes you heard right, 24,222 original miles. This is about as close to a "brand new" XJ as you'll find on the market today. Inline 6 Engine runs great, Automatic Transmission functions properly. 4wd with part time transfer case. Dana 30 Front Axle, Chrysler 8.25 Rear Axle This thing is clean underneath, still has the majority of the factory paint, and hardly any oil / grease to be found on the exterior of the engine / transmission / axles. 235 / 75 R15 Tires are only a couple years old and only have a little over 2,000 Miles on them. Exterior / Body : NO RUST!!! Green in Color Body is in good condition. Paint is good, does have some minor issues on the hood along with a ding or two. A handful of small dings on the body and a few minor scratches. Minor dent on rear gate. Overall it's in exceptional condition given every other XJ I've seen. Some of the exterior trim has faded, some minor cracking of the rear trim (pictured) Roof Rack is factory and works well Interior : Smoke Free Interior One minor tear on the drivers seat is the only flaw in the interior. The original floor mats have been covered from day one with cheap aftermarket ones leaving the carpets & original mats in great shape. The dash / carpet / seats (with exception of tear on drivers seat) look like the day it was made. Tow Package : I installed a CURT 2" Receiver hitch last summer along with a Hopkins plug and play (no splicing required, simply plugs into factory harness) trailer wiring kit folds out of the way when not in use, it was only used on 3 occasions to tow my riding mower around, and twice hauling my 4x8 trailer. All locally, less than 200 miles total. Service : Just serviced it with the following - Oil & Filter Change New Air Filter New Rear Springs (as the stock ones often sag, as this one did) Differential Fluid changed, both front and rear axle. New rear hatch struts New Virginia State Vehicle Safety Inspection completed earlier this month after this work was done, valid through May / 2016 __ These Cherokees are great vehicles. I have owned a few of them and they are a great all around platform with a large aftermarket following if you choose to modify it. A great family car, student car, first car etc. They have a very smooth ride, more car like than SUV like. I have never taken this one out in the snow since I've owned it, it's always been garaged in the winter but other Cherokees I've owned have had no problem getting around in the snow.
