For Sale is my 2001 Jeep Cherokee. It may not look pretty, but this truck has never left me stranded. Snow, Dirt, Water, Garden State Parkway, you name it it will get you through. I have owned this truck since February 2012 and it had 140889 miles on it. Vehicle has a clean CarFax. I can provide you with a copy. The previous owners seemed to have very little in way of maintenance on it. As a technician I have brought everything up to date. Every fluid has been changed with Valvoline Professional Series fluids, and every oil change has been done with either Synthetic Blend or Synthetic oil. Sometimes I got lazy and took it to the dealer. Almost every part that has been replaced, has been replaced with Mopar or Napa Parts. Since I have owned it the following items have been replaced:Spark Plugs (Will give a tune up prior to selling to new owner) Coil RailCamshaft position sensorThrottle position sensorOil Pressure SwitchCoolant SensorHosesRadiatorThermostatThermostat HousingSerpentine BeltPower Steering PumpPower Steering LinesIdler PulleyFan ClutchComplete Brake Overhaul (Pads, Rotors, Calipers, Drums, Shoes, Wheel Cylinders)Master CylinderBrake Hoses (Replaced with YJ Hoses, as they are longer)Most of the brake lines (not everything was bad)Front Axle Bearing and Hub Assembly (Timken bearings)Transmission (replaced at 157k. Removed from a truck that had 90k miles on it)Rear gearsO2 SensorsLeak detection pumpAgain all fluids have been changed with Valvoline Professional Series FluidI'm sure there is something I have done that I haven't listed. As I stated this Jeep won't win any beauty pageants. The Jeep designers basically used a ruler to design it, and added 4 round wheels, and a steering wheel! But the thing is a beast, even in stock form. As far as modifications, I haven't gone crazy as this was my daily driver for about 2 years. Here are the upgrades:Jeep 5 star alloy wheels off a YJ (Paint them red and you have the Jurassic Park wheels!) Zone 3" Lift with Nitro shocksZone Steering DampenerZone Sway bar disconnects (One of them is in the Pine Barrens somewhere, the other is still on the truck)Midland CB with FirestickGoodyear Silent Armor 30x9.5x15 (have approx 3/4 tread left on them)I recently aligned the truckSony Media Head Unit with RemoteFront tow hooksSo I have gone over the Good stuff so far. As this truck is used there are some issues. Nothing major, but I believe in letting the customer know what the issues are. This Jeep was used to go off road so its definitely not a show car. The truck has a current New Jersey inspection sticker on it. I do not know what other states need in order for a truck to pass inspection. New Jersey is emissions only. With that being said if you live outside of New Jersey you may need to correct some of these issues.Cracked WindshieldWindows and door locks occasionally do not respond to the switches. This is a very common Jeep issue.Air Bag light is on (requires a new Air Bag Module to turn of, I turned it off with a piece of electrical tape over the light)The check engine light occasionally comes on for "EVAP System Large Leak". There is a slight crack in the engine CCV valve piping, which is the most likely cause. This has not been an issue for the truck running. As I said it passes NJ emissions testing. If you reset the CEL it will stay off even after completing a drive cycle. It randomly turns off and on. For me this has been a non issue.Exhaust system should be replaced as it is original, but still functions.Air conditioning needs a recharge. The truck is solid. Just minor surface rust over one wheel well and inside of one door. This truck was used in the woods. There are dings and dents and scratches. The front bumper is a cheap Chinese replacement. It is missing rear bumper side moulding. It is also missing some of the fender flares. No Carpet (easy to clean, just hose it out)Headline is sagging a littleNeeds a really good detail. I used this in the woods and beach and brought my dog with me. I will get is cleaned (NOT DETAILED) to make it a little better. That is pretty much all I can think of right now. If you have any questions, please ask them and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. Here is all the fine print...The Jeep is located in Brick, New Jersey. Sold as is where is with all faults and defects. No warranty written, implied, or anything. Clean NJ Tile. Winner will receive: one 2001 Jeep Cherokee, one New Jersey vehicle title, 5 keys to the vehicle, one remote keyless entry, and 1/2 tank of gas. Buyer is responsible for removing vehicle within 72 hours of completed payment. NO refunds. I will deliver the truck up to 30 miles for free, up to 150 miles for a fee of $1.50 per mile. Anything over 150 miles I won't deliver it. And no you can't use my plates to drive it home yourself. Please read everything prior to placing a bid. I am a private seller. I accept CASH OR A BANK CHECK FROM A NEW JERSEY BANK. Again if there is something you would like to know more about, or have any questions about the vehicle do not hesitate to ask. Like GI Joe said Knowing is Half the battle.
